First I just wanted to schedule shampoo and blowout. I could not raise my arms that much. I did shampoo my hair , but for several weeks I wanted a blowout, by now my hair and roots have grown out. Walked in, it wasn't packed, and I appreciated that -- you could tell they were actually focused on their clients and not just rushing through back to back. They offered me something to drink while I waited and the green tea with lavender was really good!! Mark was my stylist -- he was professional, friendly, and easy to talk to. He gave me a great haircut and one of the best blowouts I've ever had. And I mean that. I have very long, thick, wavy textured hair and a blowout alone never cuts it for me. I always have to follow up with a flat iron. That's a big deal for my hair type. I left with my hair looking amazing and didn't need to touch it. Also the products made my hair smell amazing! I was charged extra for longer hair but I expected it and the price was fair. Most importantly, I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable the whole time. I was also charged $25 more than what my friend pays for this stylist, but I should've confirmed her price on the phone. The staff are pleasant, the salon is clean, and Reid was very nice--hence the two stars. I let the hair stylist know I had somewhere to be 5 hours from my appointment time and assumed (I have a bad habit of doing so) that I had allowed plenty of time. My hair appointment lasted over 4 hours but the process was rushed. All the while, water from the ceiling dripped on my leg. My hair came out okay. And I ended up being an hour late to my next function. I have yet to find a local hair spot I love.
