Just the name alone I'd give them a star. It's something I'm constantly striving for...to be organized...in the simplest way possible. I am secretly an OCD by heart...like the character Monica from "Friends". If they start selling containers to store your containers...sadly I'd probably buy it. HOWEVER....I repeat HOWEVER...I must be DCO...a dyslexic OCD because even though in my brain I'm like Monica....in real life I'm a little bit of Monica and a little bit of those people on the show "Hoarders". Some parts of my house are pretty organized...other parts ugh let's just say is borderline "Clean House" show worthy. Every time I walk into a store like Simply Organized, I admit I get a slight high and a tiny wave of peacefulness overcomes me. My hubby for some strange reason is the opposite and gets dry throat and slight nausea. Probably because he's envisioning me spending all of his money on yet MORE containers/organizational doo dads. Does anyone else have an obsession with those OXO Pop Airtight Food Storage Containers? I will however purchase one to add to my collection when I am lucky to come across a coupon from Simply Organized. This brings me to why I am only giving them 4 out of 5 stars. They have a great selection of organizational products to make someone as "Monica-ish" like me very happy. Their employees are friendly and plentiful! You can almost always find one a few steps away if you need assistance. Sadly, it's their prices where they fall short. Sure I understand products like my obsession above (OXO food containers) are an expensive product no matter where you purchase it. On the other hand there has been quite a few products that I've found at either Walmart, Target or Amazon that are the same brand/item for less. With that said, I still think Simply Organized has many items that I have not seen at any other stores here on the island. So I will still continue to come here (quite frequently I might add) to shop. BIG TIP: Sign up for their emails! There's a little machine near the register that you can type in your info to sign up for free. Within a couple of days of signing up you will receive an email with a 20% off of 1 item. USE IT! if instead of a tour of diamond head, pearl harbor or any landmark in the island of oahu every visitor was given a tour of "simply organized kahala mall," their father and mother would be oh so much happier. no doubt about that... the potential to learn how easy it is to be organized is supreme evidence the minute one walks into this laboratory-like emporium. it is pure awesomeness... for as far as i know, i have forever considered myself a neat person -- indeed, i can be and know it. well, after transversing each isle and components of this brand new enclave and thinking i knew i had it all ... surprisingly, i re-learned NEAT and did it in style while having a ton of fun at the same time. closet and kitchen stuff: please look to the left --- bathroom and stationary stuff will be on your right, laundry baskets ... office gadgets, toiletry holders, etc !!! it's all there. for long, i had been looking for a soap dispenser for my apartment. what i had previously found, i never thought i'd purchase. surprisingly, i am beyond happy now. of course and unexpectedly, my closet is far better looking and organized today, my ten thousand hats and belts have a home of their own (not under my bed or piled up by the dozen) and my bathroom counter, unarguably and naturally looks as imagined, ps. my added two cents: i would just change the background music and those infomercials. i felt discouraged at times and as if out of focus while and during my search. seriously, music has got to go... read more

I walked in thinking that I could find some items that I saw on organize.com that were too much to ship to Hawaii. Instead, found better. They have a ton of closet organization stuff that is so helpful if you have a love for bags and shoes and live in a condo (like me). Most of it is reasonably priced, but the purse holders that I bought were a little pricey. They have lots of cute little knick knack things, good for small gifts. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you have the time to browse. You'll be amazed at just how organized some people want to be. read more

This store is rather small, but it has a good variety of household items. There are things to organize your desk space, closet, bathroom, kitchen, pantry, etc. There are a lot of cute items for children as well. The store is very cold, I don't know why? I went in to look around but got to cold and had to come out. Maybe customers will stick around to look more if there was a comfortable climate in the store. read more

As many have said, Simply Organized is HEAVEN for people who are one, in love with being organized and neat, and two, cool gadget lovers! I find so many cool stuff here and want to reorganize my entire apartment! However, things are pricey here! I really wanted a shelving set up for my closet but it was $20 cheaper on Amazon for the same brand/item!! I'm usually an "I want it now" type of person but if it'll save me 20 bucks (+ free shipping, by the way) I can wait. I am organized and a neat freak. I love just stepping into Simply Organized because it's so organized in there! The only thing is the price. I see many of the same exact items at Ross, Macy's, Target, Wallmart, and City Mill for MUCH CHEAPER. It's very convenient since I live right by Kahala Mall and it's nice to just stop by and pick up something you need on the way home from shopping, so I do occasionally shop there. However, I do my best in avoiding buying anything since I know I can find it elsewhere for a better price. read more

Need to get organized? You've just landed in a gold mine! From chompy fish shaped bag clips to giant closet organizers, you can find practically anything your heart desires. I went here with my mom and my niece, three generations of clothes hoarders. We were on a mission to find a sturdy, yet aesthetically pleasing stand-alone clothes rack. We soon learned that this store carries a wide array of items, from inexpensive to 'it's-how-much?!' My niece was quickly distracted by all the fun, quirky trinkets at the front of the store: clips, bags, magnets, tooth brush covers shaped like owls, and a whole array of colorful odds and ends. Every so often, my mom and I would look back and find my niece playing with some new gadget. Half way through the store, we located the closet organizers. From dinky, wobbly $20 versions, to sturdy, canvas covered ones for $130. None of them were quite what my mom was looking for, so we moved on to browse the shelves for anything that caught our eyes. I mostly played hide-and-seek with my niece since every price tag was higher than I'd liked to pay. In the end, we walked out with a blue rhinestone-encrusted coin case organizer thingy for my niece that was under $10. She loved it, so it didn't make the outing a bust. But I think I'd be content finding deals at other stores or even going thrifting. read more

I was so stoked today to check out the Simply Organized Kahala location. As a professional organizer, I have been wishing for years that a one-stop-shop organizing resource center would be available in Honolulu. I love the Kapolei location, but the majority of my clients live in the Honolulu, and won't necessarily go out West. Here is my perception as a professional organizer AND as a customer! LOCATION: Perfect. Kahala, duh...right next to Longs, across from Macys, easy to access. They will even help you to your car if you have a lot of stuff! STOCK: Excellent...they were selling a lot of items today so I wouldn't be surprised if they have to reorder quicker than expected. There were a ton of people there checking things out, and with their great selection, I'm confident the store will continue to be popular. PRICING: People sometimes resent having to have "stuff to hold their stuff" but if you really want to get organized (and more importantly stay that way) resources are key. Simply Organized has a great selection of the same items in various brands so you can go up the price chain if you want a fancier option, or you can get a good deal on a simpler item. I find their pricing to be pretty competitive both with the office supply chains and the big box stores. Are they more expensive on some stuff? Yes, but to me, it's worth it to go to the one stop shop. Any money you save at another location will be spent in gas driving to multiple locations for the best deals. STAFF: Wow...so friendly and helpful. And they know their stuff. They are familiar with the products and if they don't have what you are looking for exactly, they can find something comparable and you can talk to the buyer, Michelle, herself to make suggestions. Simply Organized has pretty much EVERYTHING you'd ever need to set your life in order. You name it, they probably have it. - S.O. opened right next to Longs, where Champs used to be. The closest entrance is near the See's Candy. - Walking into their store makes me feel like I walked into the spread of a Real Simple magazine. - Their inventory is very very extensive and the store is laid out beautifully! It's well...extremely organized. Haha. They've got a wide assortment of products that fit into the general categories of kitchen, home office, laundry, and bedroom. I saw everything from jewelry trees to super neat dry erase boards to very pretty trash cans. - Specifically, S.O. had a lot of products from the extremely nifty brand, Umbra. Also, they had a lot of things made of bamboo. - The customer service is wonderful. Everyone was polite and happy (our cashier was probably happy enough for 5 people). - Regarding pricing, I think S.O. is on par with Bed, Bath, and Beyond and City Mill, so you'll be disappointed if you're deal hunting. Overall, I'd prefer to come to S.O. over the other two because of the greater amount of items in one place. Simply Organized is definitely a one-stop shop and I'm very happy that they opened a location for those of us who live closer to the Kahala side of the island. I love this store, but it's so far now!i drove all the way from the west side to kahala for one item... I guess it's worth it because no where else on the island sells what I was looking for. Simply organized needs to make another location on the west side. But other than that, this store has lots of cool items for your house or office. read more

My boyfriend and I (like always) came in here to look around.. maybe buy something we find that would be of some use but boy am I glad that I didn't. First of all.. all of the workers standing by the door didn't greet us or acknowledge us..(that really ticks me off).. and its not like they didn't see us..there was eye contact then the quick head turn. then..as we are looking around the store, no one comes to ask if we need help finding anything or have any questions.. what were they doing?? nothing. standing at the registers, walking around.. i can count how many times a worker walked right past us and didn't say a word. So of course you can understand the irritation I felt. Aside from the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, the items they have are very cool. Lots of storage boxes.. I mean.. I thought I was fine just getting the big bins from walmart to hold all of my crap but boy was I wrong.. they have bins for shoes.. nail polish.. tie racks.. toy bins, trash cans.. EVERYTHING!!! but the only thing is that its so expensive.. well expensive in the sense that I'm just chang lol!! no but in all seriousness.. Came here with a friend of mine. I was suddenly attracted because of the name. Simply organized? Yes! We went inside and we found a ton of cute office/home supplies. Lots of colors and shapes of different items to choose from. Pencil holders, boxes, lunch pales, clips, ect. Everything in this store is exactly what you'd expect. Organization for your thoughts. Rating 3.5-4.0 I've recently moved to the Kahala area (movin' on up....to the east side...literally. Born and raised Waipahu Cheeee-hoooo). Anyways, mom thought it was a good idea to give away all our furniture to these people in a red van. Literally these people showed up at our house--loaded everything in a red van and I never saw it again. Cue in Simploy Organized. If you ever wondered where to start when you have nothing, this is the place. Pro: They have everything, organized (LOL), reasonable price (self-assemble REQUIRED), they will carry your shit to the car (ask them if they dont' offer). Cons: Assembly REQUIRED for most items, no delivery, they will charge to assemble certain items; the store is too small (compared to Bed, Bath, and Beyond). I think the best item(s) they offer are the closetmaid brand shelving units, which after a while, become very easy to construct. The two drawer dresser I got is the cheapest--cheaper than Walmart (which isn't really that cheap all the time) and we will see how long these last. Not too long--the laminate looks crackish. I haven't tried doing my own closets yet becuase I'm not sure if I'm allowed to screw into the walls. Everything else in the store you can pretty much fine at Bed Bath and Beyond, but I think Simply Organized has the better products. Example: Both BBB and SO have squeegees for salfe. One of their items is the same price and model, the second one is not. And the SO one is cheaper and looks like a it would be a better squeegee. As many people have said, this place is good for people who have the money to spend, but if you shop around and compare prices, sometimes its better to get it at SO. Just because their return policy is very flexible. You can bring it back anytime as long as it is not a clearance item. So items on sale can be returned. read more

Thank you for coming to Kahala! I was getting tired of the long drives. This is the place to go for all sorts of baskets and bins for organizing you closet, office or what have you. Simply Organized is a wondeful store that makes me proud to be their customer. I lost my wallet in Kahala Mall and after almost 3 days of worry I received a voicemail message from the SO manager saying they had my wallet in their safe. All my cash was in my wallet along with credit cards and driver's license. Even my postage stamps were still there! I offered SO a cash reward and they refused saying they were pleased to be of service. The SO customers who witnessed the return of my wallet and the waiving of the cash reward were also very impressed by the integrity and professional actions of the SO staff. I am very grateful to SO for their Aloha and I encourage everyone to do buisness with SO so they can be rewarded for their extreme honesty. They are a true kamaina store. Thank you SO! In all fairness to Simply Organized, I am writing this update to my earlier review of them. My friend and I shopped there last month and had a great shopping experience except for a little problem at checkout. She had wanted to use a coupon that she had printed out, but in the rush to checkout, forgot all about it. As her items were being rung up, she brought it up to the checkout clerk but was told it was too late to use it since she was already in the process of ringing up the items she had purchased. Instead of making a fuss about it, she just shrugged it off and we left the store. I had pointed out that it would have been nice if the clerk instead cancelled the transaction and gave her the discount. We're not talking a large amount, so it wasn't such a big deal. It was just the principle of the situation. After posting my review, I was contacted by Carol A and she very graciously offered to make things right. I have been back a couple times already because I like the store and have no ill feelings towards them because of a small oversight! They are in the same family as the City Mill Stores and I've always been a big fan of them too!!! I want to thank Carol A for taking the time to address this situation, a person or store who goes through this much effort deserves to succeed in their business! They took a negative and made a great big positive to become an even better, even more successful store! I hereby add another star for their awesome effort. They deserve it, wholeheartedly! Cool store. If you love to be organized and like gadgets this is a great store to visit. Many items I have seen in other stores as well like Lowes, Home Depot and other hardware stores but there are also many unique gadgets you will probably not find elsewhere. You need to take time to look through all aisles and shelves as many treasures await you. Of course many items are not a need but a want once you see it. I could spend hours in that store and find excuses to purchase an item for my household. Awesome place for all you neat freaks out there!! With 2 locations on Oahu, this Simply Organized at Kahala Mall is much more convenient for me. I wasn't too fond of the Simply Organized at Kapolei, but I was definitely fond of the Kahala location. They have a lot of neat gadgets in the front of the store, which can be great as gifts, closet organizers, shower stuff, drawers, photo organizers, etc. I love Umbra, and they carry a lot of Umbra products. Although a bit on the pricey side, you can find some deals in the store! read more

This place is amazing! I just wanna stay inside the store forever!! Hahaha! It's just that as I'm walking around there's so many creative ideas that I wanna do for my house and of course, organization is key to not have a stressful life. And I definitely get frustrated easily if I can't find certain things in my room or the bathroom, etc. They also will help give you tips on certain products and it'll make you go "ohhhh... that's a great idea! I came here the day after they opened. The service is great here you are greeted as soon as you walk in and they are very knowledgeable. I got can organizers that saved my pantry. Clean, organized, helpful staff-- what's not to like? The location is a little inconvenient if you buy something bulky. I parked on the 2nd floor of the parking lot. I pushed a shopping cart to the elevator and then to the far side of the lot. Still, it's right next to Long's and across from Macy's, which means that I can do a lot shopping on one trip. I bought a nice plastic 7-drawer tower that is just the right size, though a little pricey. Since It was crowded, I didn't have a chance to see everything. I'll visit again on a weekday --without my significant other, who was not impressed, saying "it's just like City Mill." read more

Very friendly staff and great selection for your organizational needs. Every time we come to Simply Organized we always walk out with two bags or more. My wife always finds something for the house and I always end up with something for my garage. The staff always greets you when you walk in the door and they are always around to help you. Hidden among loads of things you'll feel you absolutely HAVE to have, and commit too much time and money into over organizing are some items that are indeed useful. Best to go in with a list or you might leave with something like a bread loaf shaped plastic box that is somehow supposed to be more organized than the plastic bag bread already comes in. read more

Don't ask them about the Freedom Rail if your walls isn't concrete or dry wall because they have no idea how to install it. Some will send you to City Mill (who also doesn't know what to do) and some will send you to the other store who has no clue as well. Overall the whole system sucks! Emailed manufacturer's customer service and all i got was unreadable pdf, which I told them to resend, but got sent a link to video (which I already saw before all of this) which still didn't help me with my situation. I spent too much of my own time calling too many City Mills and SOs only to find out NO ONE KNEW WHAT TO DO OR WHAT TO RECOMMEND, so I said screw it! Going to Home Depot or Lowes instead. read more
