Martin and Christina are excellent instructors. I'd give 10 stars if I could! I wanted to get my dad a special birthday present so I surprised him with scuba diving. Martin and Christina are extremely patient, answered all of our questions, and were absolutely terrific to work with. I encountered trouble with one of the skill assessments and Martin went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and proficient. The dive shop has cool merch and great quality diving supplies. Another cool thing - they have a dive community w/ meet and greets and often do dive trips to cool destinations. If you are looking for a shop that goes above and beyond, Sin City Scuba is one of the best in my almost 40 year diving history. Over a year ago I bought a new mask and fins for a dive trip to Fiji. The staff was extremely helpful at that time. Upon using the mask in Fiji, the mask strap would not stay locked. After I got back from the trip, I honestly forgot about it. Fast forward over a year and now I'm headed to Bali, which triggered my mask memory. I showed up at Sin City with the mask, no box, no receipt, no idea what credit card I used, fully expecting to have to re-purchase a new mask. Once they determined the locking mechanism was indeed defective, they gave me a brand new replacement on the spot. I didn't even have to ask. Zero hassle, all smiles and grins from the staff. Honestly, I just don't get that kind of exemplary, no hassle experience anywhere these days. Any shop that provides service beyond expectations deserves our business. I was just certified by simply scuba on 10/24/21. This was the best experience. Martin was very attentive and paitent and very professional. I have ADHD and I tend to get distracted often and I have some anxiety and I crack jokes when I'm nervous like when I'm trying to squeeze into a wet suit for the first time . Martin just asked that I be honest with him and how I was feeling and that together we would get through it. He had told me about his earlier experiences when he was learning and that with time and practice it all comes together just fine. I never felt like I was being rushed or that he was getting frustrated with me ,he had no problem repeating his instructions so that I understood. My husband and I are planning on bringing our son to Martin so that he can also get certified such a great way to learn I wish all leading was this fun! read more

I graduated with my open water certification this past weekend and I am so happy I chose Simply Scuba. Martin's deep knowledge, dedication to his students success, and support made this an incredible experience and I can't wait to go on my first certified dive! I have always wanted to get certified and never thought about diving as being scary. When I did get scared I greatly appreciated the patience that Simply Scuba preaches and practices. When I first started researching certifications and PADI versus NAUI, I found the NAUI certification went into depth a little more than PADI and I wanted to know everything I could to be prepared underwater. I found that Simply Scuba offered the NAUI certification and was close to my house, so I went into the store to talk about pricing and the differences between certifications. Although the NAUI was slightly more expensive than the PADI, I knew this was the right decision for me after meeting Martin. After I had made my decision, I went back to the store to sign up for classes and buy gear. Scott was super friendly and knowledgeable when it came to what gear was needed and the pros and cons to each brand. Setting up the classroom sessions was so easy! Martin worked around MY schedule and met with me after work to complete the classroom hours. Classroom sessions are never fun to sit through, but Martin kept me engaged and interested in each topic. When it came time to schedule the pool and lake sessions again Martin worked around my schedule. The way he is so flexible and willing to do any schedule for his students is something you likely won't find at another dive shop. At this point, I was ready for the lake and my first official dive. There's certain skills you have to run through during each dive to ensure you know how to handle each potential situation. As we start the first dive and the first set of skills, I panicked and headed to the surface. Christina was there for me through the whole thing while I calmed down. She kept the situation light and helped me work through my mental block. On the 2nd day of diving, I knew I would have to tackle this skill that was holding me back. Martin made suggestions and gave instructions go what I needed to do. He was so patient with me and assured me to take my time. He helped me push past my fear and I completed the skill. Without his patience and calming presence, I might still be struggling with this skill. Martin and Christina made the dives so enjoyable and fun! My friends and I rented some equipment from Martin on our way to Havasu Falls and we're glad we did. He's an affable guy. We were delayed on our way back, but Martin didn't charge us for an extra day. He was easy-going and generous. I'm definitely coming back. read more
