From the start of the process to the finish there was very clear communication, the equipment was in excellent shape, the staff were so knowledgeable, and it is clear they really enjoy what they do as well as each other's company but are also incredibly welcoming. We were invited to team dinner to exchange stories and tips and the group was fantastic so you really catch "the bug". I felt like I was in great hands all around. Over a year ago before a trip to Fiji, I stopped in to upgrade my mask, fins, and booties from their great selection. They provided great customer service during this purchase. When I was on my first dive in Fiji, I realized the strap lock on my mask was slipping and the mask was taking in water. It was defective. After I returned from Fiji I got busy and forgot about the mask issue until just over a year later, when packing for a trip to Bali. I brought the mask back to Sin City, fully expecting to purchase a new mask, particularly since I didn't have the packaging, my receipt, or even the same credit card, not to mention how much time had passed. The friendly Sin City staff determined the mask, a top of the line model, was indeed defective. Without me even having to ask, they proactively replaced it with a brand new mask. Totally unexpected! I did a lot of research to find the best dive shop and was still nervous when I selected Sin City Scuba to train my three grandsons, age 11, 15 and 17 as Open Water Divers. Shellie, Curtis and their entire staff demonstrated their expertise and soothed my worries at every step of the way. Some shops will just kind of drag you through the training and hand you a PADI card but Sin City Scuba treated every skill as a vital step and worked with my boys until they were comfortable and competent with each lesson. Watching my 11 year old grandson setup his gear on his own for his fourth open water dive made me realize how much he's learned. He knew what he was doing, why it was all important and showed he understands just how the equipment works and how to use it. That tells me that if something goes wrong during a dive he's going to know what the problem is and understand how to fix it or safely end the dive. I've waited years to be able to share my love of diving with my grandsons and now we're already planning trips for Mexico, Maui and Australia and I know this is something they will enjoy for a lifetime. I just completed my first course and became open water dive certified yesterday. Everyone from Sin City Scuba was so wonderful to work with! The instructors are experienced, knowledgeable, and oh so very patient (I experienced a few hiccups along the way, including a bit of anxiety, and they had no problems helping me determine what was causing my issues and doing a bit of handholding to calm my anxiety). I was half way through the course wondering if maybe this was one item I wasn't meant to scratch off of my bucket list, but thanks to Curtis, Donny, Regina, and David I was able to correct the problems I was experiencing, find the calmness I needed to be successful, and by the time I entered the water for my open water dives I was confident in the skills they'd taught me. My experience with the team at Sin City Scuba has been excellent. I can't praise their professionalism enough and would recommend them without hesitation. Over a year ago I embarked on a journey! Little be-known to me a skill set that has become an on-going life adventure and life style. Scuba is now at the centre of our weekends and all our travel arrangements. At the time I was 48. I'd never scuba dived and wanted to try it. I was apprehensive and unsure of the path I needed to take. I found Sin City on google and contacted them for advice. Speaking with Sin City Scuba they spent time to listen and suggest the PADI Open Water cert. Spending time learning a new skill takes patience on the part of the trainer and the student. Not once did I feel pressured, judged or embarrassed throughout the process. The team at Sin City are passionate professionals when it comes to installing their knowledge and enthusiasm to those who take the time to listen and want to learn. Taking each step through the Open Water course in the pool and open water was very enjoyable. Advice was always forthcoming, questions were answered by all of the team. Sin City Scuba have a store on Sunset and walking in you are presented with a comprehensive range of specialised scuba diving equipment. Browsing around the shop is welcomed and advice is always on hand. For me as a beginner to the sport understanding the equipment options is fun (I enjoy learning about new gadgets and technology), but also necessary for getting the most out of the skills of scuba diving. Since my Open Water I have continued with the Advanced Open Water and other diving specialities. All training has been with the team at Sin City Scuba. The social part is the fun part of any sport. The team at Sin City have welcomed me into their sport and I have met many new friends through their activities. I'm lucky!...I travel - a lot!! I'm British and spend half my time in Vegas and the UK. The world of scuba diving is now on my radar. I now interact with other clubs and divers from other parts. Scuba gear is top notch they sell nothing but the best I bought a 7 mm wetsuit, hood,mask,snorkel,fins and owned it for 2 yrs now still going strong needless to say they don't sell crap!! I believe in the products they sell from Aqualung Tusa to name a couple and will continue to buy any scuba equipment there in the near future!! They are also highly recommended when it comes to taking scuba courses and I do plan on taking a course there just haven't decided my next direction yet I am a certified Aow and ffm diver so maybe drysuit or Nitrox hmmmmmm decisions decisions!! read more

Sin City Scuba is not a nice place. The owners and instructors don't pay attention to the students and never fail anyone, even if they can't complete the tasks. While I was doing my traing dives, I vomited under water and the other divers (students and instructor Donnie) lost me because he was not paying attention. Before I could get a chance to recover, he wanted me to do skills under water and he was upset because he had to take me back out. After voicing my concerns, they decided not to tell me about 2 of my certs they recieved at the shop. After another diver from my class called and told me she received her seacards, I call to see if mine came in. When I called, Curtis told me they were mailed to me. When I asked why, he said I was upset, I replied "I have every right to be." That was acknowledged with Cutis telling me he would be also. The owner, Shellie is rude and unless you are spending big money, or they already got your money, they don't care. I believe they will only mentor people they believe they have a use for or people they feel won't compete with them in the future by opening their own shop. Always check out a dive shop before signing up for classes. Do research on PADI NAUI and SSI for more information on these 3 agencies. read more

I was in dire need of a wet suit for a family trip we had planned for our family. I in purchase a wet suit online a month prior but forgot to try it on until the morning before our trip and wouldn't you know it, the wet suite I ordered online did not fit. I called Sin City Scuba first thing in the morning and told me to come on by and they would surely have a wet suit that would fit me and they DID!! Horrible. Was given a dirty regulator in class that had visible sand/dirt on it and had to put it in my mouth. I told 2 people with no change of gear. And the AC was broken for all 3 hours. And the "classroom" was a set of card tables and chairs behind a partition. read more
