They allow makeup classes if you have to miss and let them know. We can see regular progress with each skill. They also sell swim items in their shop as well as snacks if you need them while you wait or as s reward after class. The changing rooms seem clean as well. They are very family oriented and have a long history of putting the needs of the child first, even if the parents aren't ready to hear it. I am one of those parents. We knew our son was different, but the teachers helped us figure out that he had sever ADHD and is on the autism spectrum. They did this with love and respect, walking the boundaries of being respectful of parent wishes and pushing for what was best for our child. The center not only has made an impact with me, I have worked in the field almost 30 years and 10 of those are here at CCYC, but also with my family as my oldest son put his daughter on our waitlist the moment they found out they were pregnant. Not only do I recommend CCYC to other child care professionals looking for somewhere to make a career at, but for any family that is looking for a center that is here for their children's growth and development into young caring learners.

I did not expect to see some of the world's greatest artists in Des Moines. Instead, it was an elite venue at an incredible price point. Located in Ingersoll Park, 20 minutes from Ankeny and 10 minutes from the State Capitol, the Art Center is a must-see, beautiful venue with spectacular works, considerable spaces, and gorgeous grounds. Amazingly, it is free. Loved the Samantha Box "Caribbean Dreams" exhibit, a fantastic collection of photography and art. I also loved works by Stella ("Interlagos"), Kiefer ("untitled"), Francis ("Summer #2"), and Schnabel. We also liked the postcard exhibit. The building has an awesome vibe and incredible visuals throughout its spectacular architecture. There is a great gift shop and discounted items near the entrance. Sensational guidance and kindness from the museum's docents, notably Loretta, Issac, and Gabby.

The student immediately advised her educator, Nikki and after viewing my dried hair, she understood. I was scheduled for a return appointment in the next few days. Upon my return, I had a different student, Cornelia, and the same educator, Nikki. I was again impressed with Nikki as I was on my first appointment. She worked with both students, quizzing and guiding them in the best hair colors to use on my hair. As a retired teacher, I know how important it is to have guidance and support to learn what is needed to be successful and self confident. I have been going to Aveda for at least 10-12 years, and Nikki is above the other educators who have been a part of my color appointments. My student, Cornelia, was able to take her instruction and give me a color that met my expectations. In addition, Cornelia was very careful with my color, making sure she gave me the best color job and treating me as if I was a queen!
