The service I received from SIMS Heating & Air was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. We called them when we suspected our 20-year-old air conditioner was ready to be replaced. Before selling us a new unit, they sent someone (Jon) to thoroughly inspect and service our existing air conditioner to make sure that the upgrade was actually necessary. When we decided to replace the unit, the owner (Dan) provided a range of options and did not pressure us to purchase more than we needed. He arranged extremely favorable financing for us such that the monthly payment is actually less than the delta in energy costs (in other words, our new electricity bill plus the A/C payment is less than our old energy bill). Every member of their three-person team was extremely professional and courteous. The installation went flawlessly and on-schedule. One obstacle we encountered was that the brick wall barrier built around our old outdoor unit was too small to accommodate the newer, larger unit. They actually took down part of the wall that was in the way and rebuilt the remaining part so that it looked like new. Even though this was not discussed at the time of the quote, they did all of the masonry work for no extra charge. Jon also went up into our attic and patched up the existing loose insulation for no extra charge. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to my friends and family and will absolutely call on them in the future for all of my heating and air conditioning needs. read more

Very easy to schedule an appointment via text! I love how accommodating SIMS is. On the day of the appt, Jon was running a bit late but I appreciated that Dan called to give me an update. Jon was friendly, professional and efficient when he arrived. Diagnosed and fixed the problem all with about half an hour! He was honest with me about the age of my AC unit and the need to eventually replace which was helpful as I'll need to budget that in when the time comes. We had Sims at the house for an annual service of our heating and air-conditioning unit. I try to do this on a regular basis and have had other companies out to perform this service. in the past I never noticed a difference after the service but I figured it would help the unit last longer. So my very old a/c unit stopped working right before an expected heat wave. I called Sims and Dan came out to give us a free estimate which I think is great, I hate that others wanted to charge me anywhere between $50-$80 just to tell me what is wrong (that is BS). He gave me several options and was honest about my unit being old and needing to be replaced soon but in the meantime he was able to fix the old unit, so that buys me some time before having to buy a whole new unit. His service came with a warranty and I had to call him back out for something else, he did not charge me for the return visit. Dan provides great customer service and support, I would definitely recommend using him. When the time comes to finally bite the bullet and get a new unit I will definitely be calling Dan. It is every homeowner's dream. Wha Hoo! I get to buy a new air conditioner...In the middle of summer! But being cool sure beats being hot whilst fanning oneself with fists full of dollar bills. So my quest began - the great "Heating and Air Conditioning Quotation Extravaganza of 2017" I had several referrals from friends and family. SIMS was actually recommended to me by the AC guy that I've been using for a few years. My AC guy didn't do installs in the summer, but he said Dan is the best. And he is. Being that I really wasn't expecting to be hit in the wallet, I actually had five companies come out and quote me. Dan was one of three that I trusted, and the only one to spend around 2 hours talking about what I wanted and what we could do to make it happen. When the quotes started rolling in from other companies, I had Dan try out several options/quotes for me. In the end, Dan actually beat out everyone, and the amazing thing, is that he was not using the bottom tier equipment -- this is Trane equipment! The best stuff by consumer reports! (I seriously, in a million years, never knew I could get Trane for Goodman price) So it was really a no-brainer. Dan had Jon and Bobby come out to do the install. Both of them were extremely nice, and laid out work cloths to protect my carpet. They worked all day 8am to 6:30pm because my install was very difficult because of a bad attic access. They left the place extremely clean, and even showed me all of their work in the attic before they removed their ladder. The system is amazing, we have much better balanced temperatures, and I am a happy, cool person now. I could not recommend anyone more than Dan and his crew! read more

I don't always write reviews but Dan and his crew deserve it. I had my Dinosaur (40 years old) Air Conditioning go out in the middle of summer. I decided that it was time to replace the system. Before I searched for someone to replace it I wanted to research for myself the important components that make up a good air conditioner. You can boil it down to two very important aspects, choosing the right equipment for your home and the installation ( a lot of people overlook this one). You can buy the most efficient system on the market but if it isn't installed correctly you will never reach the efficiency you paid for and could have problems later on. After I concluded my research for the Equipment I wanted I had to find a knowledgeable, reliable and responsible person to do the work. So I set out to find the perfect company for the equipment and installation. After going through an array of quotes I called SIMS Heating & Air last. He quickly came out and was on time. He explained to me my options for a new system and really listened to what I was looking for. He didn't try to upsell or insist on anything I didn't want or need. The next day he sent me the quote with a highly detailed scope of work (which I appreciated greatly) as well as warranty terms for equipment and labor. Dan answered any and all of my questions I had. After comparing all the quotes and evaluating the quality of the person to install I was left between two companies. SIMS Heating & Air had an edge in every aspect I was looking for and was the most qualified. That's why I choose SIMS. I guess Sims Heating and Air is a very small outfit. I called them only to get a recording telling me that they had no need for add or future customers. They would only respond to current clientele, however, they were available for replacing your air condition unit. I guess they are willing to go for the big bucks; but, not the chump change like repairs. I'm very dissapointed in this type of customer service, wouldn't you? read more

We had over 100 degree temperature and my air conditioning went out. I called Sims Heating and Air and fully expected not to have an appointment with them for at least a week. Low and behold they came out in two days. I received a bid from them by the end of business and it was such a fair price that I chose to give them the job. I could hardly believe that they actually came out in the late afternoon the very next day!!! They needed to get up in the attic to remove and install the evaporator coil unit and the access was through the closet. I was concerned that there might be damage due to the tight fit but they were so careful there wasn't a bit of damage. Throughout the entire installation they were very neat and courteous and had the job completed within three hours. This was by far the most satisfied I have ever been with a contractor and I am more than happy to sing their praises. In today's age it so difficult to find contractors who actually do what the say. Dan is a hard working, honest heating and air installer and servicing company owner. Last night our 10 year old A/C just stopped working. We are in the middle of a heat wave in Southern California. I put a phone call in to Dan and got a call back this morning. Even though their company is swamped because of an employee out for a new child, and a very busy season because of the extreme heat, Dan managed to get Isaiah out just a few hours into the day. Isaiah ran some quick diagnostics and pinpointed the problem in just a few minutes. Isaiah had the needed parts on the truck and was able to replace the failed components. Since our system is getting up in years they suggested we add another starter assist to aid the compressor when it starts up. Isaiah added the parts, hooked up the power again and I had working air conditioning again! The price was very reasonable and the exceptional service was fantastic! Isaiah went through my entire system, checking for refrigerant levels, temperatures throughout the system, and cleaned out the outside radiator.
