Dan, Jon, and Brandon replaced our ancient furnace and air conditioner with a new 4-ton Trane XV80 furnace and XR14 air conditioning unit. The entire process from quote through a few final touches was smooth and trouble free. Everything was done as promised and the new system works great! SIMS was a referral through a neighbor down the street who had work done on their house and was very happy with both their work and customer service. I wholeheartedly agree with their Yelp rating. Thank goodness for these guys so I don't have to crawl up in the attic on 100plus days. They came out to our house for our annual A/C inspection/tune-up. Everything was good and looked fine. Some time after that our condenser line backed up and was leaking water into my daughters room. I called and Dan came out and figured out the problem right away and got it fixed. At that point I figured we were done. But Dan went into my daughters room and saw that the carpet had gotten all wet. So Dan told me that we need to get the carpet dried out immediately or it would cause mold. So he got out his cell phone and immediately called his carpet cleaner connections and within hours we had a carpet cleaning guy at our house with his big fans to dry out my daughters carpet. After 20 years, our HVAC started having issues. We were told that there was a leak in our outdated system and given the age, we figured it was best to replace it. Our 5-year-old system installed by someone else started having problems a few months ago. We had several companies come out, and they mostly trash-talked the installation and offered to fix the system while highly suggesting replacing everything. When Dan from SIMS came out, his approach was completely different. He focused more on addressing the specific problems, such as lack of air flow, possible refrigerant leaks, undersized plenum, inadequate duct work, absent dampeners. He didn't trash the previous installers, but instead explained and showed us why we were having the problems we were having. Even with an assurance that our current system could be salvaged, we decided to install a new system, the selection of which was painless with detailed quotes and explanations for multiple options. John was at our house for 3 days. He put so much thought into everything he did that by the time the job was done, the list of things I wrote that I thought I would have to address, such as scuffs, dirty walls, and other minor things, had all been taken care of completely without any input. It was very clear that John was truly an expert at what he does. While relocating our outside unit pad to a new location, John was able to crawl through a tiny opening above a room addition to avoid putting holes in any of our walls. It's been a month now, and with a few hot days under its belt, I can confidently say our new system is amazing. Even on a near 100-degree day, the house remained a constant 70 degrees (easily), something that our old system would have struggled with. There is so much more I can say. I could talk about how Dan truly understood our complaints about the noise level of our old system, and how he added a bunch of sound-dampening material free of charge to make sure we were happy. I could talk about how much we love our new digital thermostat (that we can control with our phones), and the fact that the furnace and outside unit both utilize variable-speed fans to operate much more efficiently. I could talk about how the two rooms that used to get next to no air because our previous installer said larger ducts wouldn't fit are now the same temperature as the rest of the house. Best of all, even though it's only been a month, it appears as if our electric bill will be 50% lower than before! And, if anything goes wrong Dan offers 10 years warranty on both parts and labor. I bought their $95 for $125 promo and really regret using their service. I should have checked and call around for a quote request but due to the high ratings, I thought they should be good. They charge me $95 diagnostic which they refuse to credit back even though I was using their service to repair the A/C. Other companies actually credit the diagnostic charge toward the repair but not with this company. I feel they lied and ripped me off and I paid close to $500 for a refill of freon and change of filter. Total rip off. Stay away from this company and don't buy their yelp offer otherwise you will regret it! You should feel ashamed of doing dirty business. read more

They both were very honest, professional and polite.Two of the times there wasn't anything mechanically wrong with the system just a disconnected wire and the other a dead bug that prevented a good connection ( i saw the bug. true story lol). After receiving 6 different quotes from 6 different companies I decided to go with SIMS Heating & Air. After speaking with Dan on the phone we set up an appointment for him to come out to my home and go over some options. Dan was extremely thorough on how all the different Trane systems worked. Not only was he very helpful, but it also helped me in deciding to go with SIMS for their knowledge and the fact that they back up their work with a 10 year labor warranty. Having a 10 year parts warranty through Trane and a 10 year labor warranty through SIMS is a great piece of mind. It also helped that we were able to get financed through Wells Fargo for a Home Projects Visa. 0% Financing for 56 months was a no brainer. SIMS was the only contractor who came out to our home that mentioned the financing with Wells Fargo. If any of you are looking to have a new system installed anytime soon I strongly suggest that you contact SIIMS.
