My back started to hurt almost immediately and is now so sore even though I'm taking meds I can no longer sleep on it. They have a no return policy. Bought a nice sectional sofa.( Forest Park location) Delivery guys broke off legs accidentally upon delivery. I in turn , refused delivery. Drivers said they could not load back on truck. They placed 2 bricks wrapped in towels under sofa. They stated someone would be out to repair/replaced damaged section. The next month came, I called, complained and no one came. ( repeated for 6 straight months) Of course since I refused the damaged couch, I refused to pay for a damaged couch until fixed. 10 years later do they fix it? No, they garnish my wages after a secret court hearing. Stay away from this company!!!! Shady!!! Fraudulent!!!! Beyond poor customer service!!! read more

I ordered an Xbox X series this past Saturday. They didn't have any in stock and said it would be here by the end of next week. I also purchased a 75-inch Smart TV. I did some reach search after the fact and found the gaming system was $600 on Amazon. I called the store on Monday, to find out what was included in the Xbox X series i.e.: cooling system, stand, free game, etc. I was told the console, controller and batteries. I asked why the price was $400 more and was told it depends on their inventory and the warehouse that delivers it. Since I didn't have the physical product, I asked to cancel it and was told it would be available the next day, Tuesday. And no, I couldn't cancel it. I said I will never purchase anything again. BTW I've been a customer for multiple years - 6+. I called another location, and their Xbox X series was $799. The Forest Park store manager was supposed to reach out to me this morning. It is now 1pm. I was told they are not trying to scam me. Not the word I used. Just make it make sense. This is not a Renter's Center or Pay Day Loan, but it has similar tendencies. read more

I had a friend to purchase a recliner sofa with 3 cushion-from the Forest Park location. After, 3 days of of receiving she notice that the recliner cushion was sagging and the base was lower on the recliner side. It appear that she did not receive a new sofa but a used sofa. On her initial contact to the store she was given the run around, during conversation she ask to speak to the manager, in which she told him that she felt like she had been scrammed. The manager final decided to switch the sofa out for another sofa. She should be receiving the new sofa on this coming Tuesday. She's waiting to see what happens on a Tuesday. read more

I had a great experience shopping at Sims Furniture that located in Covington, Kentucky with the salesman Taylor. He sure knows how to do his job best. I talked to him about the specific items that I was interested to purchase without financing means I want a discount and I also asked him for the online price match. He didn't waste any time doing the research and handed me a list of the items and the prices. He also worked on half price on delivery and assemble. I am 100 % satisfied with his customer service. Forest Park location, found a couch had already approved financing. Manager seemed pissed she had to stay past closing and copped a attitude. They tried to collect my down payment without seeing a final copy of the invoice. I soon found out why. They had racked a overpriced delivery charge and extended warranty without my consent . When I questioned this she got irate with me, so I ended the transaction. read more

This is a story that EVERYONE needs to hear before signing contracts with Simms. Back in June of 2017 I signed a 8 month contract to pay off a furniture set. Of course, upon approval, they checked my credit. I agreed to that. They also added the balance to my credit report (all 3 agencies), makes perfect sense. I got probably 12 calls leading up to the 2 months before it was paid off. Probably 1 brochure through the mail a week telling me I was approved for another 2500. So I went in and, like usual, the sales people were hounding me, trying to get me to buy something else since I was already approved. So I found a bed. Got me in and out in about 10 minutes, max. He told me a new account wouldn't be opened, the new balance would just be added to the old one. Checked my credit report today. Dropped 25 points! They added a new account, didn't close the old one -- although paid off -- and did another credit check. At no time did they say a new credit check would be done. In fact, he said I was already approved so it's easy as 1-2-3. Let me repeat this. At no time did I give them permission to use my social security to run another credit check. They also did not group the two accounts, but created a new one, thus, dropping my credit score 25 points. So I called the Convington location. Whomever I spoke with on the phone pretty much told me "tough", that he was in the business for many years, and my concern on this was pedestrian He claims there's a sign somewhere in the store. He did not say he would talk to his employees about this. He said "sorry", then added, "what do you want me to do about this?" I'm going to have to fight this with all 3 credit agencies, since it's illegal to run someones credit without their permission. This story is important for anyone who monitors their credit closely, relies on a high score, or anyone looking to rebuild their credit. Simms is not the place to go. Now I'm locked in for another year, 2K+ bed, 2 accounts opened, and a credit inquiry.... and their response... "what do you want me to do about it...." STAY CLASSY, SIMMS. read more

They will get you approved all right, but have no service after the sale. I have been trying since September 2015 to get my couch repaired and have had no luck. First they invoke an undocumented policy about being late on payments so no repairs can be done. Then I get it caught up and there is only 1 guy who is allowed to do repairs, and the day he was supposed to show up, he called 3 hours after his appointment to say it was too bad outside for him to go out that day. There was 2 inches of snow on the ground. And, why the 3 hour delay in calling me? I was late for work waiting for him. Now they and the manufacturer Hughes Furniture think I should lose $320 of income pay so I can wait at home for him to show up, and that is only if it is nice weather. The couch is in such bad repair I had to rent another couch. They have no problems though calling repeatedly if you are 1 day late on a payment. Even if you make payment arrangements, they dont let others there know and you still get the calls. As it stands, I will be throwing out a couch before I am done paying for it. read more
