The reason I came to this place is because I see that commercial late at night and figured I would give it a try since it's near my home. For me it is important that a office is maintained and that the front desk are friendly. Also, that the DDS makes me feel comfortable and safe. The front desk don't greet and don't say "thank you..." The room I was in had a water leak stain on the ceiling and a light fixture was a bit dangling. The trim of the door was rotten. When the DDS came in, his handshake was soft, LIMP. He doesn't look into the eyes and seems to be bothered by questions. He was probably in the room for under two minutes. The assistant (a sweet young girl) gave me the treatment plan and expressed that the DDS takes about 15 minutes for a root canal. NO THANK YOU. I ended up going to a SPECIALIST (endodontist) for those treatments. For this reason I give this place a low rating.

One very low radiation scan provides a computerized image that allows my dentist to 3D view any tooth from any angle. Each completed implant was digital X rayed in house to check alignment, however, this was done only once and the radiation level was so low that no one left the room. No lead apron was needed, and my dentist even held the film in place with his finger. Almost immediately, I viewed the image on screen with my dentist to verify the perfect alignment. The Houston dentists covered by my insurance use 1950's X ray equipment and hide in another room while they expose you to radiation levels that cause healthy teeth to erupt or go out of alignment. This method of predatory medicine provides them with more income that is certainly not earned by the quality of their work..

I had multiple crowns replaced by Dr. Perales a few years ago. Ever since she replaced the crowns,…read moreI have had problems with them. I have been to at least 4 dentists in the U.S. who have examined my teeth, taken X-rays and elaborate 3-D imaging and all of them made the same observation: most of the crowns that Dr. Perales placed were not properly placed and have gaps that are allowing food and bacteria to penetrate. I will need to have most, if not all, of the crowns replaced. It appears Dr. Perales did not take proper molds, or missed a step when placing the crowns, or the lab that she used did a bad job of manufacturing the crowns. Regardless, it was her responsibility to ensure the proper fit so that the crowns function properly and do not have micro gaps that allow food particles or bacteria to penetrate between or underneath causing possibly very dangerous consequences for my overall health. When I tried to point out some of these issues to her, she became defensive. Her staff was nice and she could be nice. And it's possible she does other dental work well or when only one or two crowns need replacing but in my case I wasted so much time and all of my savings only to now have to start over. I will say that the dental implant that she did has been okay so far. However, I will not return to her dental practice.
