I called around to a lot of places and unfortunately most aren't taking walk ins due to Covid. I was able to get a quick nose piercing here after calling the same day. Though the shop is under construction, the piercing area and tools used were tidy and clean. If I need another piercing I'll definitely be back. read more

So I've had an idea for a tattoo since last year, but the thing with me is that I only get 1 tattoo every birthday, I guess to pace myself and to add a little more meaning for me being patient. Anyway, I went to a place in Frederick with my sketch and it's just a bunch of chinese characters. I had 2 big ones and 6 smaller ones. The large ones were about 12"x12" with the smaller ones being about half the size and was going to go on my neck. This place in Frederick told me that it was impossible to get the smaller characters on my neck due to the ink bleeding into each other, thus wouldn't be able to show each stroke of the characters clearly. With that, I just had them do my 2 big ones. My friend then told me to goto Baby Blue Tattoo. I thought that because this shop in Frederick told me it wasn't possible to get done what I wanted, that no tattoo parlor would be able to help me. Man, was I wrong. My friend referred me to Jon and all I have to say is THIS GUY IS A BEAST! I told him that the other shop said that it wasn't possible, but he looked at my design and said that it's definitely possible, but that he just had to make the characters a little bit bigger, NOT MUCH though, talking about a 3-5% size increase I'd say. He took my design, placed it where it needed to go and an hour later my vision was on me. What was once "impossible" was now a reality. The shop in Frederick has 6 years of experience on top of Jon at Baby Blue, so that's telling me that Jon's just got the technique to pull off what others with years more experience can't. This is the ONLY place I'm ever going to ever again. read more

I just love the owner Cathy! She is sweet and she really knows her stuff regarding tattoos and piercings. She is reasonably priced and she isn't trying to take you for all your money. I am in the process of getting a mid sleeve done and the tattoo artist did exactly what I wanted. It is going to take two to three visits but it is worth the time. I scheduled an appointment with Damien after hearing rave reviews about his work. I showed up early for my appointment only for him to tell me that he took a walk in and wouldnt have time to do the tattoo for me. He never called or even apologized. He even had the nerve to say "things change" when I let him know I had left work early to be there and some heads up would be nice. This guy is an inconsiderate child and really shouldnt work with the public until he fixes his nasty attitude. From the outside I thought well, this isn't the nicest of places. But upon entering, I was surprised, it was clean and the people were friendly. A lot of places were super pricey and I didn't have too much money on me, but they let me take 10 dollars off. Everything was sterile, and even though the location of my tattoo was difficult, (said a couple of places), this guy did a great job! I came here a couple years ago with my best friend to get matching tattoos for our birthdays. This was tattoo #2 for me and it came out very nicely. Studio area was clean. The environment was nice with music playing. Cathy seem to run things and did her own thing. The gentlemen were cool. We even watched some girls get pieces done and they did really good jobs. Luckily I met one of the artists T.K. that was super friendly T.K. was very professional and personable and wanted to make sure I was happy with my tattoos. He drew up the tattoo and made changes according to my wants. He gave me great ideas about the details to make it look delicate and beautiful and the results were better than what I expected. He tolerated my whining, moaning, humming and hissing to get through it (I know it's not a big tattoo but I'm a self professed drama queen. Yaay T.K! I would recommend T.K. and this shop to anyone. Since there's no option for zero stars I'm forced to give this place 1. I've gotten my eyebrow pierced here (crooked) and my septum (far too low) as well as a tattoo which looks like complete shit. My sister also got permanent eyeliner done here which looks terrible. Please please don't go here . The people are friendly but seriously overpriced and crappy results. I went to baby blue this past summer to get some arabic lettering on my ribs...every other shop i had inquired about estimated my price to be about $100-$150...i read about baby blue on yelp and thought all the good reviews seemed too good to be true.....i stopped in one day and spoke to Jon...he gave me an estimate of $80!....feeling slightly skeptical i checked a few more places but ended up coming back for that more than perfect price....not to mention i had heard nothing but good things about Jons work.....well they were right...Jon was great! ....my rib tattoo (which i was told would be excrutiating) actually tickled and he was finished in about 12 minutes.....im a small girl so i was very concerned with getting an artist with steady hands and neat lettering....but its PERFECT.......i LOVE my tattoo...its now my favorite...i plan to go back to see jon again this week for my next one :) i would definitley recommend them...and i often do.... thanks BABY BLUE!! read more

Don't get intimidated by the outside look, because upon entering everything is clean and well organized and overall a friendly environment to be in. The staff are very experienced and they get right with you very quick. My first tattoo was a kanji on my wrist which was done fast, painless and very accurate to my description. After a couple of days me and my friends decided to get another tattoo from the same place this time was a quote on my bicep. The guy(Ken) who gave me the first tattoo also worked on my second, again he left me very satisfied. My friends had the other guy but they were also very pleased with their tattoos.
