I looked up and noticed I needed gas. At first I was going to stop at Arco. Then I would prefer to go to a gas station that has a better fuel my hard earned money. ***. (It really pisses me off because I literally made a complete U-turn just to support his business.)*** I walked in the store and said good morning. He was not a morning person I had to the freezers in the back to grab a Starbucks iced coffee and a bottled water. I looked over my shoulder to see if he was going to say good morning or if he was just watching me as if I was going to steal something. And of course he was watching to see if I was going to steal something. I brought my items to the front for immediately and kept the smile on my face so that I could be completely disarm to let him know that I was an actual friendly person. ***That absolutely made no difference*** He asked me if that was all in a very thick accent with a very abrasive tone. Like I was getting on his nerves or something by just being alive I said this will be all thank you very much. He screamed, YOU PAY! He practically startled the wig off my head. I immediately grabbed my credit card and swiped it on the machine at the register. It did nothing. No beep or anything so I gently leaned in because I am only 5 feet tall it and adjust the monitor toward me so that I can make sure that I did it correctly. He screamed again YOU DONT TOUCH! With an even louder voice. I stammered, I'm sorry but I couldn't read it. He insulted me instantly and started yelling again IT NOT MY FAULT YOU CAN NO READ!! .. and I said wait a minute, I can read. The resolution is so low on your machine it makes it hardly legible and I have to be able to see the amount that I'm paying. YOU PAY AND LEAVE! I was so disheveled. I felt so attacked. His machine is old and slow so much so that he accused me of my credit card not going through and then I told him... Maybe you're the one that can't read. It says APPROVED on the screen. This is the gas station from hell.

They also have a selection of hot food for purchase not unlike an ARCO or 7-11. Price for gas is usually as good or better than other bigger company options. Clerks are always pleasant and helpful. If you do go here, when coming down N 1st from the freeway, do bot turn right at the light on N Lincoln as there isnt an easy left turn into the Gas station, instead continue on N 1st through the k ight and turn right into the Rotten Robbie parking lot at its far end.

I will agree that the place is clean, and the staff is friendly. I asked to use the restroom, and I grabbed the key off the counter. The "all Gender" restroom was fairly clean. Better make sure the door is locked when you go inside. And now we come to a very interesting question, - what do you consider to be "cheap gas?" On May 15th, I paid $5.81/gal for UL Reg at this station. Are the gas prices at this 76 station considered cheap for Dixon? I think the price of gas is average. It was close to the price at the Safeway across the street. So the idea that this 76 has the cheapest gas prices, isn't true anymore. 4-stars for clean station and friendly staff. I didn't buy anything in the food mart, so I can't comment on anything in there.
