This review is mainly for the Tire Center. I can on a Friday to have my new tires installed. Process is super easy. I purchased the tires online through Costco Tire Center. They had $80 instant discount on a set of 4 Bridgestone tires which was nice (I hate having to do mail-in rebates). You choose which Costco you want the tires shipped to for installation. After completing the purchase, you are taken to a the schedule screen to schedule the day/time of the installation. You get plenty of emails and text messages regarding the tire delivery and your scheduled appointment. At your scheduled day/time, show up at the tire center, confirm some details and they call you when the installation is complete. They go over their findings on the old tires, such as uneven wear due to lack of consistent rotations, needing alignment, etc. Next to the garage doors outside, they have dedicated parking for people with Tire Center appointments and they have 2 air compressors for people to use if you need to add air to your tires. We walked around while waiting for our tires to be installed. They had discounts and "death stars" on many items to clear out for winter items. Was told it would be about 1 hour to complete the tire installation, but it was done in less than 40 minutes! Great experience with the Costco Tire Center! read more

Quality/Quantity - One of the lowest sales tax, both in CA and NV of all the Costcos we shop. I am going to add this to my routine... well try to add. Bought a few bags of chips and snacks; see pictures. And saw some amazing discounts on clothes that I chose NOT to buy; see picture. Also, some good beer and liquor options; see pictures. Ambiance - Not busy at all. The gas station is not busy, and the food court is not busy. The warehouse is not busy. Again, why do I not come here more often. Service - Self service. It's a Costco, so already we know it's clean, they have great deals, and the quality is great. We will always support Costco! But the customer service here is SO BAD. I dread coming here because the employees are rude from the second you scan your membership card, until you walk back to your car. I thought it was a fluke, but they're all so grouchy! Grabbed a car battery from the auto dept and the man working there was very short with me when I didn't buy some fancier version. He scoffed and made some snarky comment that had the other customers around me whispering about his rudeness. My senior citizen in-laws are always shocked at how rude the audiology/hearing aid department staff are. They prefer to drive out of Vacaville to other Costcos in Solano County, because they're so incompetent and mean. read more

I'm typically a Woodland Costco shopper due to proximity to my house; however, the Vacaville spot offers some unique items and my coworkers give me the heads up when they find a special buy. During the holidays they were selling A5 Wagyu and we decided to splurge a bit and go for it. The meat was extremely rich, buttery and filling. Wide aisles, lots of merchandise, bright and pretty clean. My only gripe is the road leading to it required circling all the way around in order to get to the store. This made it a bit of a nightmare to get in and out of the store, as there was only one way in or out of the parking lot. I also used their bathroom and it was ok on a busy day so perhaps they do clean it throughout the day, but when I used it, it could've been cleaner, but it was still acceptable. There were a lot of new merchandise out for the holiday season and everything was neatly displayed and organized. For a Wednesday afternoon, when I visited, there were also quite a few sampling stations and we enjoyed trying new products. All in all, I like this Costco and it's in a strategic and good location as a rest stop between Sacramento and the Bay Area. read more

I've been to all Costco's around the Bay Area and this one by far has the rudest customer service. Calling and asking for product always seems to be a hassle for them. Their tone always poses as an inconvenience to them when asking about stock and availability. 4/5 times when I do visit this Costco and ask in person, I get nasty unwanted attitude. Our local Costco is extremely busy nowdays. As senior cititizens we would love an hour before opening to the public to do our shopping. We have had issues with employees who are rude because we don't respond to their questions as quickly as they want. Customers have no patience for us not moving as quickly as they are. It's a store we shop at because we like the items we can only find at Costo but shopping there is very stressful. Many times being checked out the employees barely say hello because they are talking with co-workers the entire time they are scanning the groceries. Someone said once that after 70 years old we become invisible...sadly that might be true at this store. I had to go to the return desk 3 times to get a refund that was due to me for two items. The second time I went back to question my refund she told me that she deducted the error on my receipt & wouldn't look at the receipt because she was in the middle of a personal conversation with a co-worker. But she did give me a lecture about how Costco gives the full amount of the refund with a receipt which I provided! Third time back to a different person who fixed the problem immediately saying it was pretty clear on the receipt that I was only given the full refund for one item. I am seriously trying to figure out why I pay so much for groceries and membership fees to shop at a place that doesn't need my business. read more

The customer service at the exit is just absolutely horrible. You either go through smooth or wait for 20 minutes or more. Today Keith who I believe may be new literally took over five minutes for a lady in front of us and then us. Neither of us had very many items. I let him know we were in a hurry and he let me know he didn't care and it's his job. I pointed to his counter part on the other side where customers were going through efficiently and he stated he didn't care. So glad I down graded our membership from executive to just the normal membership. Sam's Club has much better service and is highly efficient. The Vacation tire center sucks. I went down today to have a set of tires installed that I ordered over 10 days ago because they couldn't get me in any sooner and after I dropped my car off, I was notified that the tires I ordered were the wrong size. The tires I wanted were all terrains and the tires on my new Audi were SUV fart smelling yuppie scum run flats. They were less than 3% different in size but rocket science major "Joe" took the opportunity to tell me how stupid I was for suggesting an alternative tire. Other than items we bought that were cost saving, my review is about the checkout cashier and his box assistant, and the person checking the receipt before walking out the door. These Gen Z'ers who are employed here must have a total lack of graciousness and respect for customers. We went to shop here yesterday. When ready to check out, the cashier and his assistant never greeted us or talked to us. They were busy talking to each other about something, using the scanner gun thing, and kept talking to each other the whole time. Never asked if we wanted anything from the food court like most cashiers graciously do. Didn't even hit the total due until after 30 seconds. He wasn't paying attention to US. Gave the receipt to us with a bland "thanks". Surely we immediately checked the receipt so he didn't screw up. All looked good. The young man checking the receipt before walking out the door, never said hello, never smiled, no politeness. He made sure items were accounted for and kept looking out the distance for something or someone - haven't a clue. Gave the receipt back to us without a thanks or have a good day. To the young Hispanic girl with black hair working the membership counter that was INCREDIBLY RUDE tonight, I hope you know you're the reason why I REGRET renewing my membership today. I walked in through the entrance and explained to the lady working the front that I was here to replace my membership ID. I had renewed my membership a few hours before coming to the store, and came in to get a new ID because I hade misplaced my old one. The lady working the entrance instructed me to go through the EXIT and straight to the membership counter. As I walk in. The Hispanic girl with black hair immediately gives me an attitude, as If im some kind of criminal walking in to rob a bank. She asks me what I need and I explain to her that I'm there to get a new ID. Her response was " WELL YOU CANT JUST WALK IN HERE THROUGH THE EXIT " I explain to her that the lady at the entrance told me to do this. " WELL THATS NOT RIGHT " with even more of an attitude. We go about the process of getting my ID. She hands me my ID. I thank her and ask her what her name is. She gives me her name and says " AND IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM THE MANAGERS RIGHT THERE " so at that point she knew she was being rude to me, yet provoked me into speaking to the manager as if she was untouchable. I explained to her I don't need to speak to the manager, and that she could've been a little kinder when addressing me. She became defensive justifying her actions as if I was deserving of this kind of treatment. At this point it was like talking to a wall, so I wished her a good day and walk away. The fact that I just renewed my membership and paid the renewal fee before this put a bad taste in my mouth. Avoid the membership desk at all costs if you can. This Costco is located just off of I-80, has a large parking lot, as well as a gas station. On one side of the building they have the tire center. There are quite a few handicap parking spots, which is excellent because this place always seems to be a destination point for much of the town. When you walk in, you scan your Costco card at the kiosk, which is verified by the employees. The store itself is always clean and pretty well stocked. I rarely see them out of things. If you need help, there are many employees who are always willing to help you find something. Off to the back right side of the store they have the pharmacy, which is also great. They themselves are quick, efficient, and super nice. When it's time to check out, you can go in a line that has staff, or you can do self checkout. I usually have too much stuff to go through self checkout, so this last visit I went to a regular register. The employee was friendly, and very quick with the whole process. If you're wanting to get hot food, you can tell the people at. The register, pay for it there, and then bring your receipt to where they serve the pizzas and hot dogs. This area also has a soft drink machine. I can't enjoys these things anymore, but figured I'd fill others in about it! All in all, this trip to Costco was a success. I come to this Costco more than the one in Suisun. My only complaint would be that they don't carry the keto bread that is the same as the Costco in Suisun. But I won't dock a point because of it. Costco is all over the country. But not all Costco is the same. Some of the items are available in one Costco but not available in another Costco because of the location. This Costco in Vacaville has no special items I can't find in another Costco. They carry the essentials: clothes, food, drink, appliances, and other household items. It seems that their inventory control is better than some of the Costco stores. They have everything I'm looking for in stock. The store is less crowded than most Costco stores I usually shop in Sacramento. I can be more relaxed with my shopping cart in this store. Both cashier checkout counters and self-checkout counters are not very busy! The shopping experience is outstanding at this Costco. I will be shopping more often here next time when I'm in the area. read more

Tell me why but it seems like the prices at this location is much cheaper than the Costco in the Bay Area?! Ex ; Livermore, Hayward, Danville. I found blueberries for $5, raspberries for less than $4, avocados for $5. They have a good selection of fruits and veggies and I must say their produce is pretty fresh. A bag of lemons were about $5.50 and a 2 lb bag of fresh garlic was close to $5. I also found a pack of organic ginger root for $5. Crazy cheap prices compared to what I normal would pay and thats a plus since inflation is hitting us hard. Plenty of parking at this location and it also has a gas station. read more
