QDRO SERVICES My…read morename is James and I live up in Tehachapi. 120 days prior to retiring I found out there was a hold on my retirement account by an ex wife from 12 years ago that I didn't know about. I called Mr. Bynum and spoke with Nancy. She explained the process in detail and I agreed. The process works like this: 1. Certain paperwork, i.e., contract, payment, marriage dissolutions, need to get completed and sent to Mr. Bynum 2. Mr Bynum draws up your QDRO based on the Marriage Dissolution. 3. It gets sent to the retirement agency for acceptance. 4. When approved it gets sent out for signatures to both parties. 5. After signatures it gets sent to the court for processing 6. After it gets the court stamp of approval it gets sent back to the retirement agency so they can separate the funds. It was explained to me by other attorneys that this process could take 8 to 12 months. I was encouraged by Miss Nancy that the process would be much quicker if handled by their office. Here's how that went: 1. Miss Nancy and Mr. Bynum took 1 week to process all of the documentation and start on the QDRO. It took approximately 3 weeks to complete. 2. The QDRO got sent to my retirement agency and it took them approximately 8 weeks to process, review, and accept the QDRO. 3. After it was accepted it took Miss Nancy 1 day to send it out for signatures. My ex took 1 week to sign sign her portion. 4. It went to the courts for signature and took just under 2 weeks to complete because of online and computer issues. Everything was done by snail mail. 5. After the court stamped it, Miss Nancy took 1 day to send it up to my retirement agency. It took my retirement agency 2 weeks to process and complete the separation of funds. I outline this to explain that in the entire 4 month process Miss Nancy and Mr. Bynum only took 5 weeks to complete their portion and handle every step of their part of the process. The longest wait times were on my retirement agency. I want everyone to know that I felt my time was not wasted or taken for granted. These two did everything they could to move as quickly as possible to help get me retired with limited delay. I am and always will be very thankful for the attention and speed at which my case was handled. It should be noted the cost of the service was $2500. I thought it was expensive at the time because of other quotes I had been given. But I chose them because of the locality to my residence (in case I needed to go the office) and assurances after speaking with Miss Nancy on the phone. Lastly, if you find yourself in need of a QDRO, and in my case quickly, please consider giving this office a call. I have every bit of faith they will handle your case as well as they did mine. (p.s. I've never posted on yelp before and created an account so I could post this. Their services and attention to my needs meant that much to me.)

We signed the paperwork and proceeded to have a difficult time getting in touch with anybody. One of the involved parties died in August, so additional paperwork had to be filed. We have not heard or been able to get in touch with him except one time since when he sent a text saying he would give us our money back if he was we have been ghosted since February 2024
