That small charge entitles you to preferred pricing, as well as an annual hot water heater flush, and general waterline inspection. I had actually forgotten about it, but then I received a call from them a few days ago saying I should schedule the water heater flush and line inspection, which was included with the maintenance ageement I had already paid for. Right on schedule, Jonathan showed up today to do the annual flush and inspection. He was an exceptionally nice fellow, and he thoroughly explained everything he was doing. And, by renewing my maintenance agreement today while I was still covered under last year's agreement, I was purchasing a full three years of additional coverage for a total of $100, which I think is a terrific deal. Even if we only use EPP for the annual hot water heater flush and inspection, we are way ahead of the game. It can often be stressful dealing with contractors of all kinds who service your home, and so it's a relief to find an honest and fair contractor you know you can trust to do excellent work at a reasonable price. EPP is definitely an honest and fair plumbing contractor, and I have no problem recommending them.

On the other hand, I had a true problem with their office staff, particularly a woman by the name of Karma I believe (ironic I know). She was rude and demining. She made sure to criticize me if I did not pick up her calls immediately and gave no indication that she appreciated my business. You are on her timetable, so you better pick up, or else. I was picking up my kids from school when I missed her call. When I called back, she and cancelled my service time and sent the technician to another home. I was upset. I had just talked to her that very morning and told her I would be home during my visit window of 2pm to 4pm. When my husband called to see what was going on, another office staff member, Kelly I believe, was very helpful, explained the situation, took notes on our availability, and apologized. AWESOME, exactly how customer service should be. Unfortunately, I did have to deal with Karma one more time which was another negative experience.
