Came here on a Sunday afternoon, they were out of brew coffee so I got an Americano with Oat Milk (Americano $4.5 + $1 for Oat Milk). I also tried the Chocolate Cream Cheese muffin ($5), it was pretty good but a tad dry. The outside is like a dry Japanese-style cheesecake, and the inside is a regular chocolate cake, but the combo together is quite interesting. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I do enjoy coffee and need my daily dose, so I did find their coffee overall a bit acidic for my tastes. To each their own. There's a small Specialty Menu on the side that I didn't realize until after I paid, I would want to dry the Espresso Tonic or Orange Espresso. They also sell beans by the cashier. You pay at the cashier, and there's no screen to tip which I appreciate. I personally rather pay for a more expensive cup of coffee than tip, as I usually only sit for 15-30min, and take my own cup/plates away before leaving. Small cafe, about 4 small seats and a few by the bar so it does fill up fast. There's a large parking lot for the plaza, but it's paid parking only. Prices are pretty standard for a small local coffee shop. Overall, I'd recommend this place in Burnaby, walkable for both Royal Oak or Metrotown Skytrain station. It's a cute place to check out if you're ever craving a non-chain coffee shop in Burnaby!

It tasting very bright with nice amount of acidity (the way I like) . Matcha shock mochi just right amount of swiftness and not too chewy plus it's GF , serving plates and cups made by local artist and cups are so adorable ! def coming back to try their matcha Recommending to stop by , u won't regret visiting

Finally a coffee roaster in Burnaby - this was my first time at Single V's new location even though I had been previously to their old location near Royal Oak. I'm a big fan of their beans and pourovers and this time it was no different. I tried the Gooseberry Ale and I loved the different notes in the coffee.

We were walking home and we noticed this little coffee shop. It was very busy on a weekend. No seats available. We felt that we should give it a try. Their coffee has a strong organic taste to it. Price is reasonable. Staff are friendly. They used to be located on Irmin street but they have just moved to the plaza located on the same side of Metrotown across the street where London Drugs is located.

A cozy cafe not too far from Metrotown at the 5000 Plaza on Kingsway. Great drinks and super friendly staff. The order: - Hojicha Latte: Earthy and roasty - excellent taste! Probably one of the best lattes in the city. Tip: A small selection of baked goods and sandwiches also available.

Nice coffee shop on a quiet street by Royal Oak and Irmin in Burnaby South. I wouldn't have discovered this place existed in our neighborhood if not for the coffee subscription app that I use. Street parking is available along Irmin and Royal Oak and the Skytrain is a few blocks away. Interiors are modern and classy -- love the unusual light fixtures that they have. One near the window was really nice -- looks like or it might be an actual lighting fixture for photographers. They offer Cat & Cloud coffee beans and their in house hazelnut and cashew milk. Another distinct touch is that they use custom made mugs with cats and mice illustrations.. so adorable and Coffee was great! Only had coffee in black decaf but I look forward to trying their hazelnut cashew milk and their other beans next time. Baristas were nice and friendly too. Definitely a hidden gem in the area waiting to be discovered.

Great little cafe in south Burnaby! It was our first time to come here for coffee. The barista was very friendly and introduced us what to drink. We ordered a cup of latte and a cup of matcha latte. The latte was excellent having a smooth texture and strong coffee fragrance and displaying in a customized V logo coffee cup. The coffee beans that they used were about right. Sometimes some coffee shops out there had more sour flavour in the coffee beans. This coffee shop also put a lot of matcha in the match latte. It was awesome that they were not stingy on using the matcha powder. It would be perfect if they put less sugar. Indeed both cups of latte were good, but if i had to choose, the latte was obviously better than the matcha one. There is street parking right in front of the coffee shop and a parking lot behind it. This location is not at a popular area, but there are still customers who come here for coffee. The coffee must be or has to be good! Great decor and the ambience was very comfortable. There were some sofa chairs and high tables and stools. I also visited their washroom. It was very clean and tidy. I would recommend people to come here and try their coffee.

    Coffee shop vibes

Tucked in a busy strip mall next to some larger businesses, this little hidden gem serves up some craft coffee. The place is tiny and has limited seating for 3-4 people. But you can tell from their set up behind the counter they are passionate about coffee. It looks like they make most of their things in house and use quality ingredients. My americano had a strong but balanced flavor. Better than Starbucks or Tim Hortons by far.

    Cappuccino $5

Tucked inside a small street is this charming little coffee shop. Free street parking is available right in front of the store. The decor is quite minimal and so is the menu. There is a bit of merchandise they sell with some beans. There is 4 lounge chairs by the window, a high table with 6 bar stools and a small work table for 2. Per our usual, we had a cappuccino ($5) to try. The cappuccino is smooth and rich with dark coffee taste. It does not taste burnt. The amount of foam is perfect and does not overpower the coffee. We were disappointed with the volume as it was only about 5-6 oz. for $5.

I think if I'm going to hang out with people, coffee loft would be a great spot. However, I don't think the coffee and pastries are particularly good. But of course, I'm a bit biased since these are the things I look for in coffee shops: the coffee. It's not bad. It's just okay. So in short, I think if you're looking for a place to hang, Coffee Loft is great! If you're looking for coffee or pastries, there are other places. Still worth visiting though!

This cafe merits repeat visits as I have enjoyed every item I ordered here. We especially liked their savory items such as breakfast sandwiches and the roast beef melt! Unfortunately, the lobster melt is no longer available on the menu or that would be my favourite. Bastion is a popular place for coffee drinkers to work on their laptops here, because there are outlets available by the round table area that looks into the gym. Service is quite efficient and they even offer free coffee grounds for your gardens when available. Hours of operation are great here, as it opens early and continues till dinner time. It only got crowded when people sat around waiting for their fitness class. The only drawback was the parking. It was almost full! I was lucky to find a spot round the corner. I sure didn't expect it to be so busy. Reminded me of the busy parking lot at Hillcrest CC in Vancouver. Maybe I was there when there were many fitness classes or activities then. Good place to have a bite or coffee after your workout or to meet friends.

I ordered the chocolate slice cake, wifey got a berry croissant and we got a tiramisu tart and tiramisu box to go. I ordered a house coffee just for something to drink with the cake and wifey also got a mocha. The cake was very good, not super sweet(for regular person) I'm diabetic so this was probably a bit much for me but I wanted to try. The butter cream in between each layer of chocolate sponge cake was smooth. The chocolate ganache was shiny and soft. I personally like more cake in general but this is a solid cake if you like butter cream and chocolate!. Wifeys croissant was full of cream on top and in the middle. Very soft and good for whipped cream lovers. The berries were large and sweet. Baked goods on terms from the ones we partook in were very good.
