What a nice surprise! Driving through St Cloud and saw this place that looks to be in an old 7-11. Did a UTurn and pulled in and wow, what an assortment of Donuts. The coffee was hot and self serve after getting the cups from the cashier. There were too many goodies to choose from so I decided on a Cronut which is a croissant donut hybrid. It was delicious with the buttery overtones of a croissant glazed in a not too sticky coating. My wife had a plain donut which she dipped in the coffee and also a red velvet donut which was moist cakey goodness. It was a nice treat for an early evening pick me up. read more

Doesn't look like much when you drive by but I can see why all it has all the good reviews! We were heading home and we stopped here for a snack. I got the milk tea boba and it was delicious, not too sweet and the boba was fresh! I got the cronut, it's huge! It was good, I am not a big fan of glazed donuts so I wished it wasn't glazed. This is a staple in St. Cloud. Literally it's been here for over 20 years.. I remember coming here when I was in high school. Want a fresh warm donut? Make sure you go in the morning. Flavors and varieties are endless. Not only donuts, but they also have breakfast sandwiches, croissants, bagels and other bakery items. Not in the mood for breakfast? They also have hot sandwiches. If you're a fan of the boba teas/milk, make sure you stop by and order yourself one. You can also special order birthday donuts. When my son turned 10, I had them make him a giant birthday cake made from donut dough. Literally a huge donut shaped like the #10 with mini donut balls around it. Overall appearance, it's old. It's outdated, BUT, it works for the town. It could use a facelift, but don't let it's appearance defer you away from a donut. Insider tip, they are under new management as of December 2022. I think they bake fresh everyday. Sip & Dip Donuts deserves to be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. They are definitely a "Dive" worthy spot. They have a large variety of donuts in most any flavor combination you could think of. They have a campy vibe with the old school tile floor and display cabinets. The atmosphere is very 1960-1970 style. On a recent donut run, I discovered that they serve sandwiches and breakfast. My granddaughter and I decided to try breakfast. We both had a typical breakfast sandwich with bacon, eggs, and cheese. Hers was in toast and I had a bagel. It was very fast and really tasty. The staff is friendly and service is quick. A friend of mine, recommended this place, and even told me that they're just as good if not better than Krispy Kreme. If you don't know what cronuts are, they're square shaped donuts made with croissants and deep fried then glazed. There many options, such as bear claws, yeast donuts with springs, maple bacon donuts, and cake donuts too! The apple fritters are as big as my hand! And the cronuts are delicious, but even better when you heat them in the microwave! These donuts are good, but not better than Krispy Kreme, however, if I were on this side of town again, I'd grab donuts from here in an instant, they're better than DD! I was craving Boba tea and found this spot. The ladies working were really nice. I ordered half a dozen donuts, 2 danishes and a couple Boba teas. The donuts were fresh. The Danish filling was great, but the bread part wasn't the best I ever had. I wouldn't order that again. The Boba tea was very yummy! This is a cute and quirky donut place on the side of the road in St Cloud. It has a very "local, family-owned business" vibe. The building looks a little run down, but I loved all the donut decorations and anything with the name Donut in it calls my attention! My complaints: The donuts weren't labeled, so we had to ask what each individual donut was. I originally asked the gentleman working at the counter what were the different types of donuts he had, since I had never been here and wanted to try whatever fun flavors they had, but he made me point out each individual donut I wanted to know about, so I ended up not asking about all of them because I had to ask each one at a time and felt awkward after a handful. The receipts are not itemized, so I have no idea how my half dozen donuts ended up being over $12. There was a sign saying an additional $.50 per "big" donut and filled donut, but again, nothing was labeled, so it was hard to know what I got charged for, and the staff wasn't particularly friendly for me to feel comfortable asking for a breakdown. Like other comments have mentioned, the restrooms were closed for cleaning the entire hour I was in the store, so I left with quite an uncomfortable bladder and couldn't wash my hands that were sticky from the glaze. I liked 2 out of the 6 donuts I tried (cookies & cream and coconut!). The blueberry, red velvet, and strawberry shortcake ones just tasted like overly sweet glazed donuts and they weren't very distinguishable from each other. They were good if you like glazed donuts though, it would just be cheaper to get them from Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts at that point. All that being said, whenever I'm back in the area, I'll probably still stop by to get another cookies & creme (it was THAT good) and try some more flavors before deciding my final verdict on this shop! read more

I am going to try and be fair. I seen the high review on Google and Yelp and wanted to check out a local place with so many great review. I should preface I am a big foodie and love cooking and doing workshops to improve my own skills in the kitchen. If your someone who regularly gets McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts, then you are going to like this place. But Dunkin has better breakfast sandwiches. The bread was okay. Apple fritter was okay. Nothing special or amazing but it wasn't bad. Think Dunkin donuts apple fritter. It's basically the same thing. Their blueberry donut was the best thing I had here, but again nothing amazing. I had the blueberry crumble. I went ahead and tried their milk tea. I have been to Taiwan and china where I had milk tea. If your willing to head up to 50, there is much better boba milk tea up there at a Taiwanese bread shop. Anyways, was disappointed. Not sure how you can mess up milk and tea, but hands down worst I have ever had. I mean the cheap stuff in the fridge of 7-11 in Taiwan, not even fresh, was better. I love to visit local family owned establishments. The longer that it has been in business the more I like to go. I have passed by Sip & Dip numerous times but never at the right time for donuts. Finally I made a point to stop and I was happy to see that It was loaded with locals. The two women working the counter came across as though they had just run a marathon and had to turn around and do it again. They seemed exhausted and with no joy. It must have been a very hectic morning. The donuts were not labeled and the employee was not happy about having to look to see which one I asked about. I got the exaggerated exhale with the rolled eyes. I furthered her aggravation by asking about the price of a Marvel stuffed toy that was for sale next to the register. Under the circumstances I would not have purchased more items from this establishment but my grandson asked for it and we had a 50 minute car ride back to my house. The donuts were good. Not Donut King good or DG Donuts good but good enough to pass by a chain donut shop to get to them. I really liked what looked like the red velvet and the blueberry.
