I was also surprised to learn that the pricing increased based on my guest count, as that was never clearly communicated when I initially booked. About a week before the event, they sent me a shopping list based on the cocktails I selected, but it was incomplete and missing numerous essential ingredients and supplies. As someone who hosts large events regularly, I knew immediately that it wasn't sufficient. At that point, between the lack of communication, unexpected pricing changes, and the incomplete preparation, I lost confidence that they could deliver the level of service we expect. I made the difficult decision to find another bartender at the last minute. Thankfully, I was able to secure an outstanding professional, and our event was a huge success. What was most disappointing was the response after I canceled. I respectfully explained my concerns, but instead of trying to understand the situation, the communication became rude, and they were unwilling to return my deposit. Reliability, communication, and integrity are essential when hiring vendors for important events.
