We used Jay's Catering for our wedding in June at Hangar 21 and were pleasantly surprised with the outcome! We were not impressed with our original event specialist, but as soon as we switched to Arielle, everything turned around! Arielle is fantastic! I was immediately impressed with her responsiveness and patience (especially with all of my questions and last minute changes)! The best part of going through a venue partnering with Jay's is that a lot of the heavy lifting is already handled for you - the venue, food, bar, and even some rentals, are all handled through Jay's making the planning and vendor search much easier. Our guests still cannot stop raving about the food. We went with the dual plated entree - Vietnamese short ribs and salmon. Not only was it delicious, but the portions are HUGE!!! In addition to the great food, our guests keep raving about how kind all of the catering, bar, and venue staff were. We had our cooperate anniversary event at The Estate on Second in Santa Ana catered by Jay's back in September. The venue was beautiful, had so much charm, it's definitely a hidden gem in Santa Ana. Arielle was our event specialist and she was amazing! Friendly, professional, a great communicator and she knew every answer to all our questions! Toby and Benny (day of on site coordinators) were excellent as well. They made sure our event ran smooth; both were friendly and professional, and brought a positive energy to our evening. The serving staff were efficient and helpful as well. Even the security guard was friendly! They have a huge menu with very reasonable prices. We chose a buffet and served the Tequila Lime Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas. Both delicious! As most people do, I was worried the chicken would be dry, but it was moist and the cream sauce just put it to another level. Served platters of Sweet Treats and Chocolate Chip cookies for dessert, all of it was delicious! The cookies are divine! They are a must! The best part about Jay's is they packed up the leftovers for the host to bring home, not all caterers do this and I was so very appreciative. I have been blessed to be at a variety of venues that provide quality food, but I must admit that last weekend I attended an event that I went out of my way to find out who catered this event. First, the best dinner I have had in years. The food was prepared properly, temperature controlled, moist, excellent, and I can't say enough about the entire meal. There was plenty of food my only gripe was the Brussels sprouts which I think were overcooked but they were still tasty. I just got married at the Rose Center two weeks ago and I was very pleased with my experience working with Jay's Catering. In January 2024, my fiance and I decided to book the Rose Center for our wedding and I was working with a different specialist at the time, Casey. In December of that year, Casey informed me that I was going to have a new specialist, Emily Varela. As an anxious bride, I was very apprehensive about the transition at first because Casey knew all the details about the wedding and I was afraid that there were details that were going to be missed. However, Emily assured me early on that she will handle things for me and she really did. Emily is your girl! She patiently and promptly answered all my questions and handled my multiple contract revision requests. Our long email thread will show you that I literally asked so many questions about the menu, drinks, etc. During our venue walkthrough about 2 months out from our wedding day, my coordinator and I Emily made suggestions on bar and buffet placement that helped speed up the process. She took note of the details that I asked for during this walkthrough including things that were needed for our cultural ceremony. On our wedding day, everything turned out really well. Our guests were satisfied with the food and especially liked the beef wellingtons served during cocktail hour. The bar and buffet service were efficient and my parents were able to take home the packed leftover food which we enjoyed the day after haha. As a bride coordinating family travel from across the globe--while also navigating significant challenges with an approved vendor--Brittany stepped in at critical moments and ensured the day ran smoothly from an operational standpoint. Our guests could not stop praising the outstanding, multicultural food (especially the bulgogi beef bao, dessert stations and confetti cake) and the thoughtful allergy accommodations, which were handled seamlessly. Guest experience was one of our top priorities, and Brittany's execution gave us complete confidence. On our wedding day, anything within her scope was something we never had to worry about - and the food was one of the TOP compliments received from guests. I had a horrible experience with a different catering company and didn't get beyond the early contact and planning stages with them, and thank goodness because it steered me to Jay's Catering. I called in and was immediately connected with Sierra who was an absolute dream. We came up with a menu for the brunch I was hosting (30 expected in attendance). We were nervous initially since our venue was not one of their own, but everything turned out better than we expected for our wedding day and the planning process! From the tasting events (we went to a group tasting and then scheduled a private tasting to finalize our menu several months before our wedding) to design appointment.. and from the walkthrough visit to the day-of, we had a lot of confidence and felt well taken care of.
