Wow! What a fantastic date night experience. We went here last night for the Glacial Lake painting, and it was so much fun! Our teacher, Sabrina, was very helpful and patient when showing us the different techniques and would walk around to encourage each of us. The studio is so cozy and the perfect setting for enjoying a glass of wine while painting. Nancy, the owner, was also there to help with painting instructions as needed and helped at the bar area for snacks and beverages. The energy was so fun and positive. I love that this is a woman-owned small business and encourage other patreons to support them! There are so many paint options and they have these displayed around the studio so we definitely want to return to try more out! Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

ALWAYS supporting smaller businesses and It was a fun activity to do with friends, but BEWARE!! The instructor had zero patience for any chatting during the session. At one point, she actually turned to my friend and said, "Don't speak while I'm speaking." Not exactly the most professional or courteous way to address paying customers -- my jaw hit the floor. There are definitely kinder ways to communicate, and the constant negative attitude throughout the class was completely unnecessary. I won't be returning and don't recommend this place. There are plenty of other studios that treat people with respect instead of making guests feel like a burden or an annoyance. read more

Great place for a date night or fun evening out with friends. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase which is a nice option. Nancy was lovely and taught in a way that was easy to follow. I am so glad we did this. The is really the first time we have been out since March because of Covid. Great safety protocols. Fun time with awesome music. We painted and drank some wine. What a treat this experience was! We went here for a date night on a Wednesday (Wine Wednesday, 2 for 1 Sangrias!) and were running a bit late. I was able to get in contact with Nancy (the owner)'s husband who told me no problem, they will have everything set up and catch us up when we arrived. We arrived to a fairly full class - maybe 15 of us total or so. Most people were wearing masks throughout the class. I enjoyed how we were able to follow along the tutorial (it was a snowman day) or divert from that as we pleased. Nancy walked around throughout and gave supportive comments and feedback. They were having technical difficulties with the music - which we really did not mind at all! - but Nancy felt bad and provided the whole class with free Sangria to make up for it. They also passed out Doritos, cork keychains and tie dye masks throughout the class. Class started at 6:30am and was done closer to 9pm. Time flew by and we had so much fun! The price was a great deal at $35 per person and now we have artwork to enjoy for the holidays! We definitely will be back! read more

What a fantastic experience!! Sipping N Painting provided a professional yet fun environment! With the step by step instructions the artist gave us it was easy to follow. Little did we know this was our instructors first class!! The company provides everything: the canvas, paints, brushes, aprons, and instructions! Once you register online you then check in for the event. They will allow you to sit anyway that has a canvas. They provide all colors needed for the painting they are demonstrating. They will also tell you how many pumps of each color you need. The teachers will also walk around in between steps and ask if anyone needs help! They provide free sacks (m&m's, pretzels, and Chex mix). They also have beverages for purchase (alcohol for those 21+ and sodas). Overall: it was a wonderful experience! I've been in a few times to paint, and actually gone elsewhere, but these people are the most welcoming. So fun! This was one of my favorite paint and sip classes yet. The staff instructors are incredibly friendly and helpful. Included snacks are also a great touch! Gotta love a locally owned business! I've been here twice now- once for a date night and then again recently for a fundraiser class. It's a great spot to let your creative juices flow and anyone can be an artist here. The instructors give great walk through demonstrations and tips. They will walk around and give personalized help when needed. All of my paintings have came out looking much better than my artistic ability alone could have gotten me. And if you need some moral support there is a bar - very reasonably priced I might add. read more

As far as painting event places go, this one is on par with most of the others. The fact that they have a dedicated building (instead of travelling to different venues for each class) is a plus because they have so many more supplies handy and even provide great snacks and their own bar. I visited with a friend, on a weeknight, and didn't expect the packed house (they even had to add chairs at the end of each table to squeeze everyone in) and the crazy noise level. It's not a large space so the noise (and the resulting higher volume for the music) was very distracting. The bar was just average - but I wouldn't expect great quality drinks at a painting venue. The house made sangria was ok and they do have Angry Orchard so I was happy. The "teacher" for the class was friendly and fun to follow along with - even if she didn't get to walk around and see if anyone needed help because there were so many people. Their prices (with coupons and/or specials) are in line with all the others. The entire staff was great. It was a fun evening but I would have preferred a more relaxing vibe. I can't paint. No listen though I can't paint. I can't really art at all it's just not something I was blessed with. So when my friend said "hey let's go do this" I was kind of like meh... Sipping N' Painting Hampden though changed my mind. Firstly when we arrived we were greeted by the nicest staff ever. They made us feel at home, helped us get set up, had great snacks, and a glass of wine was only $4 and they gave you a bunch of wine! It was so worth it. Jillian was our instructor and she actually did two paintings. A wine glass and a martini glass. You could pick either one, and it was so much fun, she was so nice and so much fun. She was easy to follow and there were lots of staff there to help offer advice and what not. It was so much fun. If you're considering trying a class like this - try it here. read more

I was tempted to give 5 stars because the customer service has been AMAZING. I actually haven't actually gone yet so I'll post an update afterwards but there was a conflict for the time I was trying to book and a ton of confusion via an email conversation. I was feeling defeated and then I got a call from the owner, who was super sweet and understanding and did everything she could to make the situation right. It was kindness that I don't experience every day and if the review was strictly customer service, it would be 5 stars. The only reason it loses a star for me is because the couple paint events like this that I've done before include the first drink in the price and this one doesn't. However, it does sound like the drinks are reasonably priced. read more

We've gone here twice and had a wonderful experience! Both times our instructor was Vanessa, who created an easy and fun environment for learning how to paint relatively complex scenery. We painted the Denver skyline at night on our first visit and the Golden Gate Bridge on our second, although my husband did his own thing on the second round and our instructor was helpful with that too. They offer a range of beer and wine and have a number of deals, especially for return customers. It makes for a unique date night or a fun family excursion. The business is not a franchise and is owned by women who give back to the community, so you're supporting a great local business while having a good time. read more

This place is decent. I think it's good to be somewhat decent of a novice artist before you do this since time doesn't permit much teacher instruction. If you're not into painting it can be frustrating so be sure you're really into it before taking the class. read more

I went to my first sipping n' painting class here and it went really well considering I have very limited experience with painting. The instructor was great and helped me out when I was having issues with technique. She gave me one on one demonstration on how to do the trees too. I've been to this location a few times, most recently with my sisters. I prefer this to Canvas and Cocktails since it's locally owned and the classes are smaller. What a fun place in a great location! There's plenty of parking. If there aren't spots free in front of the place, you can always park in the garage right across the lot. They used to offer your first glass of wine for free, but I understand why they had to stop doing that. They've got a pretty basic bar with beer and wine, but no mixed drinks. Wine options have always been good when I've been there. They provide a few snacks like nuts and candies if you'd like to snack while you paint. The teachers are awesome and are very helpful in walking you through the painting. They'll also take the time to give individual tips and direction. Had an awesome experience at Sippin and Painting on the pre-Valentine's day event! Love that this place is locally owned. While I am probably the least artistic person in the world, the instruction by the teacher was easy to follow and fun! Allowing for your own expression and freedom to paint whatever you wanted. I stuck to the instruction and ended up with a cool painting that incorporated my own flair and style. The studio itself is set up with easels, brushes, pallets, and canvases ready to go. There are fun snacks and refreshments, in addition to a well stocked wine and champagne bar. This is such a fun date idea and I loved spending the night painting away with my boyfriend.
