When Shangrila Mall finally decided to add more familiar middle class concessionaires to their newly renovated food court, I knew choosing where to grab lunch, given my very limited break, would be a lot easier. Their bestselling pork sisig has been one of my default means to satisfy my craving for crispy meat. However, when I found out that this branch sold squid sisig, I knew I just had to try it out. Served on a sizzling platter (of course), it didn't look anything like the usual sisig. And as for the taste, sadly, i did not enjoy it. I think in the efforts to merge adobong pusit and sisig, it kind of got lost along the way that it tastes really confusing for me. Pork sisig is still the safest bet.
