April, 2024 purchased a new Honda mower for $800+. Started it up when got home (hard to start BTW) and it smoked real bad. Thought it was just rings needed to be seated. These things come to the dealer shipped with a quart of oil on the side. I now assume dealer put the oil in it as they tested it before bringing it to me. Because we were out of the state for much a year we took it back to SISKUN in May 2025 for a check. They discovered internal engine damage (we only started the mower a maximum of 6 times due to weather and our in-state presence). When working with Honda SISKUN told them it looked like the engine had been run low on oil. We didn't run it enough to run low and when I checked the oil level it was good. But Siskun's statement to Honda caused Honda to refuse support. SISKUN disassembled the engine and returned the parts in a box. read more

Bought a Honda EU3200I during the height of the recent power outages. They did not have one in stock initially. I asked to be put on a wait list, and one day later they got several in and gave me a call. Unit was filled with oil and test run briefly for me when I swung by to pickup . I went to this place to get some common fuel lines, and a fuel filter to repair a 2 stroke weed whacker. I was the only customer at the time, and the greeting I received was not one of appreciation of a walk in customer. I told the guy what I needed, and showed him the fuel tank, and the fuel lines & filter I was looking to replace. The guy started grabbing some boxes of line, I mentioned that it didn't look like the right size, he states that my stuff has probably shrunk over time. Whatever, he's the supposed expert right? I go to put my machine back together, but this fuel line is not right at all. I ended up going to Lowe's, and got what I needed for a fraction of what I was charged at this place, and with no crappy attitude from a supposed expert. I came to this place about 10 years ago, and not much has changed since then. Sorry, I just hate gutter rate customer service. read more

This company used to be mine and my families go-to for Stihl products and service, (back to the Loggers Supply days) but no more! They just tried to soak me for a new $165 carburetor for my FS 85 Brushcutter that I bought new in 2002 from Siskun, when it didn't need one! I asked them for a tuneup but also asked them to determine why the head seemed to vibrate when running, with a request to call me if additional parts were needed. Two weeks later they text me to state it was ready to be picked up. When I arrived, they said it wasn't ready, but needed the new carburetor which I found suspicious, because it started fine for me. Of course they charged me $50 (.5 hr labor) in order to get my Brushcutter back. So much for customer service and/or customer satisfaction! I'll find another repair shop to take my business to from now on. read more

I would not recommend this shop to anyone. The staff is very rude and act as though they are doing you a favor to provide service. They do not provide a break down of work completed which brings to question the overall skill set and competency of their staff. My experience to have work done in a generator was very negative as a whole. read more

I had a generator that wouldn't work just before the predicted storm of 10/13/16. Brian at Siskun arranged to have my generator picked up on Wednesday, worked on it and returned it on Friday. As it turned out, it was working just fine and he charged me only for the pickup and delivery. Great people to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to buy all my power equipment needs there. read more

Just had terrible customer service experience. The guy was simply rude and not fair. Bought item that connects to Stihl powerhead, and it broke my powerhead. I like to support local small business owners and when I needed a replacement part for an old Sears Craftsman mower, I stopped in my local equipment repair shop for the part. I explained that I had the mower model number and which part I needed for the Briggs & Stratton engine. The sales person stopped me mid-sentence and said if I didn't have the model number for the engine, he wouldn't be able to find the part. I asked if he could cross-reference to the Craftsman part to determine the engine model and he said he couldn't. For about 2 seconds I thought about using my phone to find the part number for him (evidently Siskun doesn't have an internet connection?). I decided that I'd spend my money someplace where they're a bit more helpful (or at least now how to use those newfangled 'inter-tubes').Found the part number online after I got home and ordered from Amazon within 5 minutes...with free shipping. Now, next month when I need a new long-pole tree trimmer ($400+) and to have my chainsaw serviced ($100), I guess I'll look elsewhere. read more

I own a Troy-bilt Lawn mower and have had it since 07'. This mower has never had any services done to it since new. Last summer I broke the blade attachment and everywhere I looked I couldn't find anyone that had the parts or could fix it. These guys did along with a full service and cleaned it up. The mower works great and they saved me from having to shell out $300-$400 for a new mower. Would give it 5 stars if it was ready when they said but it took an extra day. I will be back! read more

He was rude, interrupted me when I tried to ask questions and was very unpleasant overall. Siskun repaired my MS170 (Stihl's smallest gas chainsaw). I bought it from them 11 years ago & it's had no maintenance. This winter (2018), I couldn't get it started. They flushed it & did a standard maintenance: fuel filter, air filter & spark plug. It took 0.7 hr + parts + supplies + tax = $85.23 It runs & idles perfectly. (Be aware of a 0.5 hr min.) read more

Siskun has a decent selection of saws, but the salesmen are inept... I chatted with a gentleman on Thursday. He quoted me a price for $499 for a rear handle MS150CE. He said they were out of stock and to come in on Saturday. I drove the 30 minutes to Everett on Saturday, they said the price was $530... I had some questions about the MS193CE. I asked the red bearded gentleman if the MS193 was like the MS192, sharing an engine with MS170... He said the MS170 never shared an engine with the MS192 which is completely false. They both have a homeowner clamshell engine with a stamped connecting rod (instead of a forged one). I'm looking for a new saw shop. One that doesn't change prices from salesman to salesman and one that actually understands its products. I think I'm going to try Miller in Edmonds. The salesmen are just as ignorant, but they're more than happy to let you talk to a mechanic. read more

Poor customer service. Read the fine print. ~$50 minimum just for a quote!! New to town, have a non-working Stihl Chainsaw. Went in to ask if they did repairs, the older of the 2 salesman said they did and that I could drop it off and they would get back to me early next week with a quote to fix it. Ok I say, sounds good. He prints out a piece of paper says to sign here, I sign, hand over the chainsaw and he gives me a copy of the paper. I foolishly/naively didn't read the paper which I had sign assuming it was the fine print on if something went wrong. At no point did the salesman verbal mention the minimum fee or point to their fee board, which is off in the corner, not where one would be looking. Come next week I am in the area so stop in to check on the saw. The same older salesman tells me it would be more expensive to repair then fix (had taken off the muffler and showed me why was not good, nor sure how long it took him to diagnose that, didn't look like it would have taken long) then he tells me that that would be ~$50 ($48.xx). Taken by surprise, I asked if I could trade the broken chainsaw for the cost or a discount, answer of no. I paid, get out to my car, then feeling throughly taken advantage of a played a fool, I return inside to express some of my feelings. I begin calming telling them why I am feeling blindsided by them, the older salesman (who seems like the boss) curtly responds that the minimum charge was in the paper I had signed and been given a copy no that it takes man hours to inspect the chainsaw then turns away from me. I was not indicting that i didn't believe the charger, rather how taken back by it i was. The younger salesman (better customer servie), jumps in. I inform him why I am taken aback and surprised by the charge, how their customer service would improve if they verberally informed their customers of the minimum charge for a quote. He says thanks for the suggestions and says they'll add that. It's during this 2nd encounter that I am then informed that I could use the $50 fee towards buying a new chainsaw, which I don't want. I ask if there was anyway a discount could be applied to my fee, again telling them why I was shocked to be charged $50. Again, no is the response I get. Looking over the paper I sign I see that I could have waited for their phone call that week, been informed that the chainsaw was not worth repairing, and then been asked to come in, pick it up and pay the fee. I try telling them that I could have not come in or just walked away and left the chainsaw and then they would be stuck with a broken chainsaw and no fee at all. Using that information to try work a compromise with them, but to not avail. I've had people drive out to me to give house work quotes before and not charge a dime, and here, I come to them, with what looks like was a quick diagnosis of a chainsaw and then they charge me $50! Had they verbally told me or pointed out the minimum fee at the beginning, I may still have used them, but to be blindsided at the end with a $50 fee, that's not acceptable and then with the older salesman curt and rude response, neither of them willing negotiate, having to return a 2nd time to be informed I could use the fee towards a new chainsaw, that's where I draw the line on poor customer service. Just scooped up a higher end, medium duty Stihl line trimmer from Siskun. While pricing was pretty steep, it was still in the realm of competitive. The staff was very knowledgable, and takes care of everything (assembly, warranty registration, etc). Very good experience at this facility. read more

I have went to this store twice and called in for assistance twice, all four times I was treated very rude, and not helped at all. Today I gave the man a V-Belt measurement of 1/2"x 95.5". He told me "I don't sale random length belts", WHAT!!! That's not a random length, I gave you the length. He said he needed the equipment model number, so I proceeded to give him that and all I got out of my mouth was "Craftsman" and he said "you need to go to Sears. I run a small engine repair business, we do lots of repairs to riding mowers. I would never ever treat one of my customers like this. If I don't have it, I will try and find it for them. If you are looking for corporate greed, and to be treated as a number and not a person, go here and shop. As for me, I will never go to this store again for anything. read more
