Kai - the owner, is super friendly and knowledgable! Throughout my visit, he gave suggestions for a lot of the products I was browsing and even showed me some of the most recent (but not displayed yet) shipment. I felt like a kid in a candy shop that had to take his time looking through everything because there is a lot!! Items range from mostly camping/outdoor gear, to homegoods (candles, incenses, coffee books, decorations), apparel to bags. I love love love the selection of brands that you can find here (Porter, Engineered Garment, Snow Peak, Topo, Matador) that you wouldn't be able to see at most traditional store. Prices are competitively priced at retail and in the back corner you can even find the massively discounted sale section. You can tell that he takes a lot of pride in finding the best high quality items that are for the most part, imported from Japan. If you're into any of these items, definitely stop by!

This store has all the equipment you'll ever need to explore the great outdoors. They have camping equipment, biking equipment, all outdoor clothes accessories and so much more. The staff is knowledgeable, patient with our questions and friendly. This is a must see location.

(Soft opening) So cute!! I was looking for a new cooler 'ROVR' and they're officially selling this cooler. Nice owner - she's so kind and lovely! I could've spend my whole day here lol

My new Toyo metal tool case - what a wonderful find at Sisu!

This store has everything you would need for outdoor and travel adventures and more! I love the way they thoughtfully curated an impeccable roster of quality brands in a small store tucked away in a strip mall along Harbor Blvd. in Fullerton: Snow Peak, Northface, Primus, Fjallraven and Filson, among others. I took a peek at this store after Sunday brunch, and I ended up buying a Japanese-made Toyo tool box, which perfectly housed my Bonsai tools! The proprietor Kai was so super-friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions and offering his suggestions. He explained to us what the Finnish word "sisu" meant. "Sisu" is more of a personal philosophy: a strength of will, determination and perseverance in the face of adversity. We will definitely be back here! I am so glad that we have a gem of a store such as this in our neighborhood!

There was Pier One & there was Cost Plus - Pier One was the more corporate experience option. Then Cost Plus grew up. Some changes were immediate, some took a long time. I think it comes down to how I feel when I think of going there, specifically the one in Brea. This isn't a grocery store - why do we have to pay for bags? I'm buying bottles of wine & dishes, picture frames - if I buy dishes and home decor at Macy's, I'm not required to buy a bag. It was always part of my Christmas tradition to make Cost Plus my first stop for gifts - but a couple of Christmases ago, I bought a whole cart full of wine & food gifts. I was not allowed to take the cart to my car, I had to leave the cart in the store and trust that the employee helping me wouldn't be pulled away by time I brought my car around. And it was raining by the way. Once upon a time, the store would reward members with a $10.00 birthday gift. That got changed to a discount. So every once in a while I get a text message telling me about a promotion and I used to enjoy getting those messages. Now I just delete them.

This store has always been my favorite to come to, not just because it's local, pretty, and cute but because of their kindest management and customer service! This store is managed by such a kind woman who really cares for her customers and their voice! She is extremely understanding and willing to hear what the community wants. Once she knows, she sets her best foot forward to make sure the best of the best is received. It might sound like typical business decisions, but the intention is what truly separates the person behind this store from any other. If you want to support a local business, this is the place. Want to live well and cute? This is the place. Need even a simple escape from everything else? This. I have always loved this store, and I can never see that changing. It's such an honest store, in the FOH and BOH. Will always rave about this place! *Everything matches retail price too so you're really getting lucky with having everything in one place!!
