I am so glad I did. All the other stores I went to were full of male salesmen who were condescending because I was a woman buying my first gun. They kept trying to push tiny "purse" guns, and even pink guns. I wanted a Smith and Wesson revolver because it's a "dummy proof" gun, which is great for a novice. Ian at the Army Navy Store understood why I wanted this particular gun. He was patient, really listened to me, and answered all my questions. He was even willing to teach me about guns. He didn't have the gun in stock, but said that the following month he was going to Smith and Wesson to place his order for the year. He texted me while he was there!!! I was shocked he remembered me, let alone while he was in the middle of placing the order. Then a few weeks later, he texted me and said the gun came in! You can't beat that for customer service. I highly recommend buying your guns here, especially if you're a woman.

Apparently hard to find items, such as camping gear, hunting / fishing equipment, you name it and it's a high-quality item, then this is a place to be. So I'm here as a civilian, non-military non-fishing / hunting enthusiast, so I just find myself looking at their clothing lines. And unfortunately, they seem to be a little on the high-end price wise. No sales people gave salutations to us, or asked us if we need assistance, so I guess I could say "well it's not a high-pressure sales situation"!

She brought out several sizes of the shoes he picked out for size and helped us decide which fit was the best. Cynthia explained the sale that was going on and suggested some cute vans socks. We even got him a new vans shirt that he had to wear out the store. She was happy to cut the tag off and handed him some fun vans stickers! He knows the store's stock while representing what VANS looks and feels like. Solid employee I met the store manager not too long ago either and he's helpful and friendly! It is your typical open air outlet mall and there is plenty of parking. Columbia specializes in apparel designed for sports and adventure but more so geared towards adventures such as hiking, backpacking, running etc... They always have a sale of some sort for different items and i feel they offer great products at a competitive price making it a good value. The service is always friendly. I Love their Omni-heat jackets. I also love their T-Shirt prints and i used to buy all my tee shirts from them only. But unfortunately I stopped buying them because for some reason, they no longer use quality cotton Tees which hold up and wear a lot better than the ones that they use now. I feel that the ones they use now. The fabric is really thin. It wrinkles really easy and does not wear well at all. That's really disappointing for a big brand like Columbia. I have brought it up to the manager of more than one store but nothing has changed in the past 2-3 years since the change occurred. Thus the reason for taking 2 stars away. Please bring the quality cotton tees back and do not cut corners. I bet that your sales will increase.
