Stewart charged us a $150.00 restocking fee, told us that it worked fine and then sold it to an employee. This is bad business, @150.00 is a lot of money to charge a customer, that returned the light in good faith, because it did not work( but I guess the customer is never right) We paid for the pole attached also, an was given bad advise, because the one we had worked just fine for any light. Shame on you Stewart lighting and Nita for your behavior certaining this return. There was a reason your store was empty of customers. They have no problem helping even if answering honestly means they don't get a sale. I needed help with an adapter and instead of trying to sell me something new or some specialty piece he gave me a free option to fix my problem. The knowledge they have is too notch and the staff are friendly and welcoming the moment you walk in. They have everything from the basic bulb to a $20,000 chandelier!! They do all things LED and everything in between. You could easily spend hours in the store and still not see everything, which is why the coffee bar is a GREAT touch. I was hoping to surprise my husband while he was out of town, so I knew I had a small window to make it happen. Mark understood how important it was and went out of his way to help make that possible. What really stood out was the level of detail--he didn't just repair the lamp, he took the time to clean the light piece and added felt to the bottom so it wouldn't scratch our surfaces. We met at the Ferguson showroom and it was a pleasant experience. The total bill came to $35,045, so not an insignificant amount of money. Later, our contractor walked off the job, leaving it unfinished. By this time the appliances had been installed except for the hood vent. "We'll be back to do this," said the install team. Now Ferguson refuses to schedule or install the hood insert because the builder's name is on the paperwork, not mine (our address is too, of course, but that's not relevant to them, apparently). The invoices were paid in full - including the installation charge for the hood vent yet they still refuse. I escalated and spoke with the floor manager, Leah. She was even less sympathetic and helpful than the first person I spoke with. Leah acknowledged that the builder wasn't present when we made selections and that this is essentially just a paperwork / computer problem. In spite of that, they are intransigent. We paid $300 for the installation. It is not a significant sum but it's wrong on principle. They are simply the worst when it comes to actually solving problems.
