In my quest for outdoor pots, I came to Johns Nursery to look for the pots. When I pulled in they had a ton of beautiful trees, plants, bushes, etc. I pulled up to the back (parking is available at their building where they pay). If you need additional parking, there is additional parking around the back of the building. They had tons of plants, but I was there to look for pots. Many of their pots (like most places) were what I'd consider high, but it's the going rate. I did speak to an employee and he stated they had some 40% off pots on the side of the building. They didn't really have any that were matching in my price range. They have a nice variety of plants and knowledgeable employees. read more

The folks at Johns Nursery helped quite a bit to find the plantings I needed. They pointed out the pros and cons of each plant that I was looking at and then selected the best specimens they had and loaded them up. Prices were reasonable and not much different than the big box stores. Will definitely use Johns in the future if I need more plants. read more

Our neighbors have used them a few times now and he had heard good things from our neighborhood. We went yesterday and everyone was very helpful and pleasant. They have a good selection to choose from and plants are in great condition. Pricing is reasonable. read more

Horrible customer service, unfriendly, rude and won't accommodate customers in any sort of way. I questioned why I couldn't have mulch delivered with the trees I ordered to get installed. They told me the installation outsourced and the guy who does it doesn't get paid to do unload mulch. I even offered to unload it myself. They continued to tell me no, and gave no solution to a very simple situation. I said well if you can't seem to accommodate you that then you can cancel my order. They kept saying what are you not getting? After my horrible experience I read similar reviews from many other customers and it at least makes me feel better. The fact that John, the owner, goes out of his way to respond and take zero accountability for his actions just shows the type of business he likes to run. Instead of looking in the mirror and trying to better his business he chooses to call his disgruntled customers rude, privileged Karens/Kens. Very mature John. John's Nursery has a beautiful selection of, ...well...everything fauna! They have little trolley carts for ease of transporting around your plant bounty or you have the ability to drive to the spot where your plants are located and simply load up your trunk directly. The staff is also willing to assist with the manual labor if need be. I also love the fact that all of the plant selection looks very healthy. The pricing at John's seems to be just under the retail prices found at commercial garden centers, which is a refreshing change as well. There is an adorable little cottage in the back of the property so if you do begin to feel weathered by the end of your plant shopping spree, you can recoup a bit in the AC. But most importantly, if you have any questions regarding any of the inventory, the staff is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the plants they carry. I went to John's with some questions regarding the Japanese Maple. The gentleman that assisted me spoke with me at great length on species and sun tolerance after he inquired as to where my tree placement would be at my home. Exceptional customer service here! I definitely suggest bringing your walking shoes as opposed to sandals or flip flops as the grounds consist of crushed stone. And, if upon your first visit to John's you are undecided on your landscaping design, count on using those walking shoes extensively as you'll most certainly be captivated by the multitude of gorgeous plants and trees at this nursery! read more

I really find the employees to be friendly, informed, and willing to help. We've visited a few times and have never been disappointed. They do get extremely busy so if you exercise patience and kindly wait, they will get to you. Overall, great quality and great service. Also, most items qualify for military discount! This is probably the most and unfriendliest place I've bin. The (older) lady in front of the building didn't welcome us so we're not sure if she was working there. We came up with a few questions and if she could give us some advice. On our questions about plants and flowers she was waving with her arms and advised us that we should look at the labels and read. It was clear that she was not willing to help or sell at all. and explained what we were looking for. She then gave us a few names of Florida native plants, waving with her arms that they were somewhere over there on the right or left side" but was not willing to walk with us. I told her that we just finished our house and that we didn't came for just one plant but for the front and back garden and walked away. She didn't even care loosing a 20k job. This is not a one time thing. The United States became over the years to a customer unfriendly society. This place is a No-Go for us!!! read more

We have a very large landscaping job at our new house under construction. The owner was very rude and not at all engaging. Did not even want to consider any bulk discount on large orders. The owner actually laughed in my face and walked off. Go elsewhere for your plants. You do not need their arrogance and snobbery. read more

I went to this nursery to buy at least 100 plants, shrubs and trees for my mother's new house in St Johns. I was "greeted" by a rude woman who immediately began to yell at me over and over that I needed to move my car - even though I was parked on their driveway. She never asked me what I wanted or how she could help me. She just yelled. If this is the "service" you can tolerate, this is the nursery for you. read more

I was in a crunch to purchase a crepe myrtle for my yard to avoid a fine from my HOA. After visiting a couple other nurseries in the area I was not satisfied by the quality of the trees for the price they were asking. I passed by John's Nursery but they were already closed so I called the next morning to ask if they had the specific color I was wanting. I drove there to look at them and was greeted very friendly by the owner. He walked me to the trees and helped me pick out exactly what I wanted. He loaded it in my SUV and put down cardboard so that dirt would not get all in my car. I paid and went on my merry way! And I might add the price on the tree was great compared to other places. This has to be the worst place ever!!! What a bunch of crooks!!! Buyer Beware!!! I spent $400 buying shrubs and mulch etc..to have delivered later in the week but I found better pricing and a more helpful staff else where. So, two before my order was to be delivered I called to have my order cancelled and credited back to my credit card but was rudely told by Chris that there is a 10% restocking fee. I said I was not aware of this fee and it does state on my receipt that there is a restocking nor is there a sign in the office that indicates a restocking fee. I was also told that I would have to come back to Johns Nursery to have my credit / reimbursement processed. So, after taking off for lunch to go there, I go in and Chris processed my order and then when I question him again about the 10% restocking fee he rudely told me that once they run my credit card and if there is any type of exchange or return they automatically charge a 10% restocking fee. Even in my case where the order had not even been pulled. Then after my credit was processed minus the $40 I was told to get the F&$K OUT and that I was piece of shit (not once but atleast 3 or 4 times) and to go F&$K myself!!! Wow!!! How professional!!! Even as I am walking to my car I am being yelled at that I'm a F&$King piece of shit. So therefore this has to be the worst customer service experience ever!!! Buyer Beware!!!
