We then note that we have a lifetime warranty on springs. Nice ... We had explored another local small business with great service records and his pricing was less than a hundred difference. Probably should have gave him the deal in retrospect. The price of labor is quoted as over 300 now alone for maybe an hours work with Broten. The others were quite a deal less. Instead we set appointment for 2 business days later and request an early morning appt. "We only get to your area in afternoon is offered and window is 11am-3pm". You know it would be like winning lotto to get the early visit this Friday. Client initiated call to make sure we are still on a roster as holiday weekend coming. Tech arrived after 130pm. Tech is wonderful, Knowledgeable and loves working for Broten. His work was efficient and very little mess which is a plus for tech again. So this will likely be last use of Broten. We have purchased front doors, garage doors, motors and more over many years. It is now clear the only value and respect of revisit is the consumers. Only the lifetime spring warranty is of any benefit to use here. Truly ashame .... we suggest now looking elsewhere too. While the job was by far the least costly during the refurbishment, and also the lowest bid I received from garage door installation companies, it was essential for security and functionality. The installation wasn't seamless due to some manufacturer quality-control issues, but Joe was on top of the problem and had the components replaced by the manufacturer. Throughout the process, he diligently oversaw all installations. Even at the end, when I was willing to accept the flawed panel (a high bar, as I can be pretty demanding), Joe wanted it perfect. He went ahead, had the manufacturer replace the panel in question, and had his crew install the new panel, all on his own. Windows, glass doors, and our eyebrow will be replaced with impact glass, all in a few months. The next step will be remeasuring our windows. Applications will be submitted to our HOA and city for permits. The windows will be ordered and we'll get a call when they're ready to get installed. Installing the new windows should take three days. The old hurricane shutters will be removed. The holes patched and it will be painted over. The old windows and garbage will be carted away.
