I've done an egregious amount of research and anxiously pulled the trigger with her back in 2020. I got microblading & shading. Three years later, they held up pretty well and I just scheduled my microblading touch up so these brows get back to being on point! The studio was clean and very nicely decorated. She took her time and was professional. The pain was uncomfortable, but bearable. Just put your headphones in and let her do her thing. I pretty much forgot about the pain after i saw my healed brows. Not gonna lie, they looked too dark for about a week and a half, but i swear i just woke up one day and they were just perfect and everything was worth it. I will try and remember to come back and post photos of my brows when they are completely finished, but feel confident to leave this review now. I just finished my second "perfecting" session and could not be more content and happy with my brows! I wake up every day not having to think of doing my brows. Being I was not good at brow makeup in the first place, this alleviates time and annoyance in my day - and weird looking ups and downs in my brow looks! I wake up now every day with beautiful brows. I had initial concerns about what was involved in the process, but Truc did a fantastic job responding quickly to all questions. It is NOT as intensive as online things say! I have been going to Truc for a few years as I have complete trust in her . I did research as well, and though the cost may be a bit higher than some; I chose her because of her medical background. I felt she would be trained in every precaution and hearing stories of others, felt the most confident choosing her. my first appt, she was very professional, explaining what she could do and gave me all the info on what to expect, and what to follow up on to maintain..... I admit , I was self conscious after first time, but after a couple weeks they did lighten a bit after swelling subsided. I love the way they look! I am a researcher and read SO many reviews before choosing Six Sigma Brows. For my fellow researchers... an honest review of the process. Truc was very thorough, professional and kind during the initial appointment prior to the microblading appointment. I explained to her that I wanted just to fill in the 'tail' where my hair stopped growing. It was really important to me to have my eyebrows look natural and not like "perfect instagram brows". She got me. During the actual procedure she made me feel really comfortable and really took the time to make sure they were perfectly even. The procedure itself was definitely tolerable. When she handed me the mirror when she was done I couldn't hide my look of concern. I immediately freaked out. She assured me that I was going to love them once they healed and that they were just swollen and dark. I wanted to trust her but the second I got to my car I started crying.. like realllly crying - I was so upset because I looked like Groucho Marx. I cried for three days straight, though I still followed her directions exactly to make sure they healed properly. I honestly hated them. Then after 5 weeks... seriously like magic... one day I just woke up and they were perfect. Exactly how I originally envisioned them - so natural looking, perfect color, size and shape. It wasn't that they 'grew on me'.. the healing process actually makes them change. I absolutely LOVE them now. She matched my color so perfectly and really heard me about what I wanted. Bottom line - don't expect to love your brows right away (though you might!!)... or even in a month. Mine took a full 5 weeks to completely 'settle'. Truc is SO TALENTED. Truc Vuu is very nice, and her salon is clean, but my February/March 2021 eyebrow microblading with Truc was a nightmare. Truc charges more than double almost anyone around (including well-known microbladers in Manhattan), and I've now spent over $3000 addressing the Malificent appearance her microblading created for me. She used a bluish-grey color on my dark, thick brows, and tattooed WAY over the topline of my brows, creating an obvious, tattooed looking, line and extremely pointy arches. I looked older and could see the tattooing, but thought that maybe I just needed to get used to it. Then, after my hairdresser, facialist, and dermatologist all made unsolicited, negative comments in the weeks following my microblading and how "severe" it looked (all three are usually very kind and complimentary), I got it lasered off. Correcting bad microblading is no walk in the park. The lasering is expensive, somewhat painful, and takes off eyebrow hair along with the microblading pigments. Those who work in the beauty or aesthetics industry described my original microblading as "awful," "harsh," " very faded," and "not the work of a professional." I almost did not go to my follow-up appointment with Truc because I already hated the color and shape, but she said that she could refine it in the second appointment, so I went anyway. Nothing improved. I reached back out to Truc after a fourth person commented that my microblading needed correction. Truc agreed that I did not have an "expected result" (although my eyebrows looked exactly as they did when I left my touch-up appointment). In Truc's photos, my eyebrows look fine. However, in my own photos and in real life, they were anything but. Anyway, Truc was leaving for vacation shortly after I reached out following my touch-up, so we agreed that she would contact me upon her return. Truc did not follow-up with me. I contacted her again a few weeks ago, and she offered to have me back in to either fix or fade them, which I appreciated. However, my dermatologist here in CT told me not to go back. He suggested that I book a removal with my laser person in NYC. That's what I did. Following the laser removal, I had my first appointment with another microblader in Avon, CT, who came highly recommended (by several people whose eyebrows I've seen in person; I trust online reviews less and less). So far, so good. Finally, I am starting to look back to normal (thank goodness), but not without a ton of unanticipated expense, time, and stress. Mine was a bad experience. When I was 12, I got attacked by a dog and lost half of my left eyebrow permanently. I spent countless hours learning makeup techniques, hairstyles, or anything just to hide it. Every single day I'd spend about 30 minutes just trying to shape and draw my eyebrows on, frustrated the whole time because it was difficult and I hated looking at the scar.
