Danielle took the time to lighten this old ink as much as possible before color correcting it and then re-doing my eyebrows. We ended up going with microblading with some shading since I still wanted to keep a more natural look. My results are pure perfection. Danielle listened to my wants and concerns, and achieved the exact look I was going for. This is SO important to chose an artist who actually cares about the result you are looking for, as my previous artist used a shade I did not want, and did not give me the volume and definition I was looking for. They refused do a fill because they said my nails were lifting even though it was a brand new set. I was missing three nails so no problem even tho I didn't think it was necessary. I had previously called and was quoted $45 for a fill with gel polish. When I got my receipt, I was shocked to see that my total was $101.03?! Here was their breakdown: $45 new set $20 to remove existing nails (there were already 3 nails missing) $10 for shape (I asked for coffin, these are square) $10 for length ( ?? these are short) ....so we are at $85. Where's the rest you ask? I also asked,.... They tell me $10 because the polish I chose had glitter in it...what? This is regular gel polish. The rest was tax. Navy initially explained the charges to me however when I questioned her, she walked away and asked someone else to explain it to me. When I advised my nails were short and I chose a regular gel polish, she just shrugged her shoulders. Unfortunately I failed to notice the inaccurate shaping at the time, not that it would have made a difference to them. $101.03 for a regular acrylic full set and my nails are the wrong shape. I guess I'll get them reshaped when I take that drive back to Meriden.

As a resident of Cromwell, I've driven by Green Lotus many times, but today was the first time I decided to give it a try, and it was a great choice! I called Green Lotus late in the afternoon inquiring about an appointment for facial waxing either tonight or tomorrow night - and surprisingly, they were able to fit me in tonight. When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile from Monica, and she offered to hang up my coat and get me a drink. My appointment with Vanessa went very well - she introduced herself with a handshake and conversed with me throughout the appointment. I have some skin sensitivities and allergies, and Vanessa discussed these with me prior to my appointment and added them to my record. It even printed that I had an allergy on my receipt - so I'm very pleased to know they take that matter seriously! She really took her time and didn't rush through the service. If I were to describe both employees I dealt with, I'd say: Processional & Friendly. They both deserve a ton of credit for their great customer service - something that seems rare these days. The salon is very clean and the waxing room had soft, relaxing music in the background and a soothing fountain. I thought the price was reasonable and ended up booking a future appointment. I should have called but everything happened so quickly that I honestly was not thinking about the days appointments. I was unable to pick up my phone when they called but when I realized what had happened I called right back from the hospital. They do not answer their phone so I left a message and sent an email explaining what happened, I received no response and they charged me $185.00 for missing the appt. My message stated that I understood I would need to pay a cancellation fee and asked if under the circumstances if they could refund part of the $185.00 Well as I said there was no response. I would have been a very good client for these people as I would have utilized a number of their services on an ongoing basis. I did make a mistake but I think this is a very bad way to do business and a terrible way to take advantage of someone. Sometimes things just happen!

The manager said that what I was asking for was very basic and simple and that way it wouldn't be a problem. Halfway through I was suffering in a lot of pain. I don't know exactly what they were doing to me, but when I went to the bathroom (which was broken) I was horrified at the image, staring back at me. I looked like a cheap prostitute. The eyelashes were so full and thick and nothing like the natural look I had showed them. I immediately went to the manager, and the owner was with her, and he tried to convince me that I looked great and better than the photo that I had shown him. He never apologized, and they made no attempt to reconcile the situation. When the job was finished, I insisted that I should not be paying for this because it was nothing like what I asked for and I had to really fight hard for that. The male owner was so intensely rude to me that I could not pay for this! I insisted that I should not have to pay to look like this, and he kept trying to convince me about how how much time and effort the worker put into me and that she deserved to be compensated. It was quite an argument, and I felt terrible about myself when I left. This business was completely unprofessional. I was treated so horribly. Not only was the service ugly, but the business aesthetic is akin to your local DMV. I was also forced to listen to an hour and a half news broadcast from President Trump at full-volume. Not exactly the relaxing service environment. Usually when you're getting your brows or lashes or hair done, you're in a beautiful location, listening to calm, peaceful music.
