Amazing experience…read more I had a replacement car from this branch of Enterprise after being involved in a non-fault accident that left me without a vehicle to go to work. I had three people in specific that made this experience a very stress free and quick one: - Abbie: She made sure I was up to date with the procedures and timeframes of my rental including being very understanding when my insurance company didn't pass me on the correct details of my vehicle return date. She also noticed that at the end of my rental I had left my keys in the car and promptly arranged for its' delivery to my residence as I couldn't pick it up. due to schedules mismatch - Kyle: For making my post accident experience of having to get a replacement car go so smoothly. - Taco: The legend who went out of his way to deliver my keys to my residence! All and all a great experience with them and will definitely use their services again in future!

They knew where we were, the often over-quizzed location, (there is no "flat name") was noted down with no problem, five minutes. Great one. However his route of choice was questionable. Is a shortcut a longer route around because of an inability to stop in traffic lights? It's not a shortcut, it's impatience. Traffic and traffic lights go hand in hand with town. Don't hit the empty back streets and open ring roads and give the impression that it's a shortcut. hmm. Forgiven for now. What I don't understand about many of Manchester's taxis is that they don't know where a lot of my destinations are. When I'm a little sketchy I expect the taxi driver, the authority behind the wheel to fill in the gaps. Often it's a case of guessing games, more so this time than ever. I don't know, is it to too much to expect? We paid £9 driving around Manchester city centre which was a usual £5 fare. And we never made it to the Star and Garter. Was it that difficult? So change of night and venue due to this taxi driver, hardly impressive. Northern Quarter again we find ourselves, not really questioning the failure of the taxi driver or the fare. The rates are competitive (and negotiable) and the vans are well kept, clean and comfortable. The staff at the main office are really friendly and were happy to discuss a discount for using their service over an extended period of time. Usually when you have to hire a van for something it means you will be doing a good deal or driving, heavy lifting and waiting around which makes for a stressful and exhausting time. Staff at Salford Van Hire seem to understand this as a fact of life and are more than accommodating and courteous to their sometimes less than courteous clientele. The only draw back with using a locally run service is that you are affected by their opening hours (which are by no means unreasonable), whereas if you went for a larger more corporate company you would have the option of twenty-four hour returns and pick ups. I've not used their car or trailer rental but if it follows their van hire I would highly recommend taking a look before moving onto larger companies.

This is the third time I have returned a rental car to this location, and each time the guy who I…read morereturned the car to gave me a hard time. Last October they claimed there was a chip in the windshield (there wasn't) Last month the guy accused me of putting the wrong type of petrol in the case tank. He demanded to see my receipt to prove I used diesel. Then today was the straw that broke the camera back. They claimed there was a scratch on the rim of one of the wheels. Again, total rubbish. I have rented from hertz all over North America and Europe, and this is the ONLY location that has ever given me a problem...and 3 consecutive times in the past 6 months. I think that at this location they are training they people to whom you return the cars to, to look for extra and ultimately BS damage. I love Hertz, but this particular location sucks and is run by crooks and extortionists.

I ordered a category B car, and was given a tiny Fiat, which I don't feel is in the same class as the example of a Corsa, I even had to drop the back seats to fit in a small push chair. 2. I ordered a baby seat and was disgusted by the quality of the seat. It was the lightest bit of plastic I had ever seen with awful twisted straps. I am unsure how this seat passed any safety standards in the UK. I have certainly never seen any such seats available for sale. 3. There was no-one available to fit the baby car seat. Not only would this of been useful traveling on my own, but I would of thought an important service to ensure the safety of Hertz customers.

Checked once we got in the taxi it was same rate agreed to which he said it was nearly double the agreed rate and started being really rude saying it wouldn't have been that rate so had to call the company- they found the booking from a week earlier and it was because they had sent the wrong car the first time but no one had bothered to tell us it would be nearly double on the way back and we only had the agreed money on us- the driver was really rude just saying we would need to pay the higher fare that we didn't have so we said we would just get out at first drop off- his attitude was disgusting saying things 'like your doing my head in', we gave him the couple of extra pounds we had and he responded by throwing the coppers on the floor- do not use
