The food was ok the ribs were way over cooked you couldn't even pick them up they just fell apart the homemade bbq sauce was pretty good a little sweet they had no smoke flavor whatsoever.and there could have been more of them (4).the western burger was ok the olive burger was a 6 out of 10 and the kids wings they get (4) were good but the chili was really good it had a nice bite with no beans so it was real chili the best thing about this place was the food was hot very hot. the French fries were super crispy hot juicy this was the hottest food I have ever had served to me I would definitely recommend this place based on that alone great job sixth and main you got 10-10 for food temperature overall great dinner experience great service as well wait staff was really friendly the ambiance was pretty good to lot's and lot's of tables read more

I stopped in while visiting the area, the night I was in they were out of nearly everything on the menu. The food was average at best and was expensive for what they had. The service was just okay not great not horrible. If I'm back in the area I probably won't go back here. read more

Very poor customer service displayed by owner. One of our party inquired about $1.00 charge for tap water. Our drinks and food had been ordered and our friend asked our wonderful waitress to see the manager regarding the water charge. Upon asking about the charge, the owner stated he had bills and employees to pay. Our friend stated maybe the other food or beverages prices could be offset instead of charging for water. The owner then told our friend she was not going to be served and to leave the establishment. Upon hearing this, I told the owner none of us would be staying. This restaurant missed out on a potential $200 tab (there were 6 in our party). We tipped our wonderful, kind waitress and left. We will not be back and would recommend that the owner take customer service, tact and respect classes. This business also charges an additional $2 for patrons splitting meals. read more

I really hate leaving bad reviews, but this trip to Michigan sucked, I got fried fish on a Friday, friends got steak tips and wife got club sandwich. None of us finished our plate, paid the bill and left. Went and got ice cream and dairy whip to get the old oil and nasty rotten beef taste out of our mouth. First time in 20 years of being married I let my wife talk us in to ice cream before eating dinner. read more

From the decadent deep fried mushrooms, impressive bar and Fish Tacos, which are hands down the absolute best fish tacos I've ever eaten by the way. The food and drinks are only outdone by the staff. We live in Traverse City and never hesitate to make the hour and a half trip to this hidden gem of Northern Michigan. We like to sit at the beautiful bar and chat with the bartender Nicki. The chef salad was large and fresh. There was plenty of meat and cheese on it and a delicious hard boiled egg. I would get this again.

DO NOT ORDER THE SALAD. White bland iceberg lettuce and a few shredded carrots and a handful of mushy croutons. I counted 10 pieces of chicken for the whopping price of $13!! read more

Great selection of food for a small town. They inside is really nice as it's an old Hotel from a century ago. They have the bar, but also a separate dining area and pool table. Fun little place, I'd love to see what they do with the upstairs. I hope they keep it historic. read more

Horrible. I watched a waitress charge a guest $1 upcharge for using a credit card. Then she charged me a $2 upcharge for using my debit card. There went her tip. LoL. Food isn't basic, its atrocious. Our first trip up North this spring and we were looking for a place to have lunch before going grocery shopping in Evart. We saw the billboard advertising 6th Street and main bar and Grill as we drove into town. We discovered it was the old Eart hotel and we're pleasantly surprised by how light and clean the interior was compared to the previous atmosphere in its incarnation as a restaurant. Place had four or five customers but it was nearly 3 on a Monday. Waitress was with us right away and gave great service and the menu was quite impressive. I had a shrimp poor boy with onion rings and my wife had broccoli cheddar soup, both were outstanding. a wide variety of lunch and dinner options with specials nearly every day of the week. Also a real good but somewhat limited draft beer selection along with full bar. Place has been open since October but not reviewed on Yelp yet. Unfortunately I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures of the food but I did take some of the interior which was bright well-lit and clean. An unexpected Discovery indeed. I had a wonderful experience her over the weekend. I was driving through town alone and wanted to go to a sit down place. I don't always feel comfortable doing this by myself but walking in and being greeted so nicely I knew I would be comfortable. The waitress/bartender was very pleasant and friendly.
