Rushed, Impersonal Care and Poor Denture Quality…read more The front desk staff at Perla Dental - DeSoto were great--friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The dentist was always in a hurry and never seemed to truly listen. I struggled to communicate my concerns because she wouldn't take her hands out of my mouth long enough for me to speak. Every visit felt rushed, like they were juggling multiple patients at once. Honestly, it felt more like a cattle line than a dental office. After getting my new dentures, I returned several times for adjustments. Each time, she would grind on them briefly and send me on my way. I told her three different times that the fit was wrong and they needed to be remade, but she kept telling me to "just try to wear them and get used to them." Four weeks in, one of the denture teeth became discolored and looked rotten. They sent the plate to the lab to fix the color, but the fit was still terrible. When I returned again and asked for the dentures to be remade or for a refund--options the dentist had previously mentioned--they refused to do either. I left feeling unheard, frustrated, and stuck with a product that doesn't work for me. If you're looking for personalized care and quality dental work, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Who says a root canal has to be the worst experience ever? Not Me!…read more I was fortunate to have Dr. Yogesh Patel and his very capable assistant, Mable to perform a root canal for me today.  I was in for a special treat because neither of them work in this office everyday.  They're normally at their Plano and North Dallas office.  I enjoyed listening to the banter between the two because they don't see each other often. It took my mind off of why I was there. I was totally relaxed and didn't feel any discomfort.  The procedure lasted less than an hour. The best root canal ever! If I ever need another one (crossed-fingers that I don't!) I will drive to Plano or North Dallas just to have Mabel and Dr. Patel do the work. They're best in class and excellent at what they do!  I was very happy that my general dentist, Dr. Candice Brown-Evans of Fresh Dentistry by CanDDS made the referral!  I also want to mentioned how Mable and Dr. Patel trained and spoke with their new intern. They did it with such patience and humility. I overheard the intern say a couple of times, "back at my old office" and Mable interjected and said, "But, you're over here now, you'll be ok." I trust that she's in good hands and will succeed!  And lastly, but just as important are the very first people you talk to and see when making your appointment; their office staff! Gladys in particular was an angel in assisting me with the initial paperwork and verification. They are definitely Winning as One!
