The second floor is for reservations only and I recommend a reservation. It's not hard to book but do book as early as you can to get the normal time slots. I checked maybe 2.5 months ago and all the time slots for dinner were available, but a couple weeks later, only the early dinner time slots like 4pm is available. The service is nice but not frequent and the host is friendly. We were allowed to use the restroom before my reservation time. I love the menu, it carries so many Nordic traditional dishes, such as the whale steak, reindeer steak, Atlantic wolffish (catfish), deer stew, mussels, etc. We ordered the grilled reindeer steak and the pan fried wolffish. Both are beautifully plated, good portions and delicious with the right amount of seasoning. The Nordic cuisine likes to use local fruits to add sweetness to the sauce. I took out 1star because t hey are pricy. For entrees in the price range of 40-60 is fine, but when the desserts are priced at 20+, they lose the marginal satisfaction. Great location, great food. If your time in Bergen is short, this is one proper meal worth splurging on.

You can pick the available seafoods and they will cook it or the menu. The foods here are wonderful and fresh. If you're into seasoning and spices then you need to be out of the box since Nordic foods are about natural as is and less seasoning so keep that in mind. Love the oysters and the salmon, chowder is nice and mild but rich. Wonderful services and can't say much with delish foods, beautiful view, chill vibe and great service.

It was juicy and very unique. Never had it this juicy and sweet before. Large portion cost $240 USD which is about 0.9 lbs or 400g. 3. Mussels - Garlicky broth. Very good and small to medium sized meat. Overall average to USA. 4. Fish soup - Tiny bit salty but overall good amount of fish included. 5. Salmon (Aurora) sashimi - Buttery, smooth and very good. Source for Japan's premium sushi. Overall, gave it 5 stars despite the high price tag for its uniqueness in live King Crab, amazing views and the tourist premium.

As soon as I checked into my hotel, I asked the concierge for recommendations of where to eat and they said that Enhjorningen was their favorite restaurant for seafood. Sold. I was told to find the building with a unicorn outside of it, which was actually a good tip of how to find this restaurant. But you must walk up the stairs for the entrance as the downstairs/retail level of this building is actually a bar. And when I walked in the restaurant, I found a charming spot with many old framed paintings and ornate decorations. So it was a little stuffy and the staff was not the friendliest, but you know what? This place isn't touristy unlike many of the other Bergen restaurants, so that's a win. The menu was straightforward with many different seafood entrees, a full wine list and some small bites, desserts and cocktails. I started with the salmon carpaccio and had the halibut for my main dish. And let me tell you, the food was amazing. The seafood was incredibly fresh and tasty. The salmon carpaccio had some pickled veggies with for some crunch and was light. And the halibut dish was one of the best halibut dishes I've ever had! It was so flaky with a lemon, dill sauce, dauphinoise potatoes and beans. I could've licked the plate, but this place was way too fancy for that sort of thing. But eat here and you'll completely understand. For delicious, elevated seafood, visit Enhjorningen.

The decor is fun with paintings of landscapes hanging on vibrant colored walls, velvet chairs, and a creaky wood floor. We split the scallops and the bread, and I ordered the hake with paprika sauce for myself. The bread was surprisingly light with a nice flavor. The scallops were swimming in a decadent sauce. The hake was perfectly cooked and paired with piping hot potatoes, a sumptuous sauce, and an assortment of vegetables. Overall, I had a lovely experience at Enhjorningen and would highly recommend for seafood in Bergen.

The two servers waiting for the diners inside the vinyl-covered sunroom of Fish Me were on top of their game. Obliging our requests for photos and even allowing us to move tables, when we saw the harbour view seats were available. Smiles and yeses, came out of their mouths, which was surprisingly uncommon in Europe. For the food, though this was inside was a fish market and them aptly named Fish Me, we didn't order fish. We opted for the only two items in the "Meat Dishes" section of the menu. I had the Whale Steak (minke) which is technically a mammal, while my wife got Reindeer Entrecôte. We paired this with a Pinot Noir and Spicy Hot Chocolate. Both tasted like beef with the gamey flavor offsetted by the red wine sauce and the caramelized green beans. My presumption proven wrong, we left satiated and considered this a winning choice.
