    Anglerfish

When I was looking for restaurants to check out in Bergen, Enhjorningen was a place that various individuals online had suggested. The interior of the place gives a rustic vibe, with wooden floors and antique paintings on the walls. If you are a fan of seafood, this is definitely the place for you! There were some interesting dishes that we tried, such as the Smoked Whale Carpaccio and Anglerfish. The smoked whale had some gaminess to it, and the sauce that went along with it paired well with the meat. The Anglerfish was well cooked and had a good amount of flavor to it. My friend got the crab and although it is technically unlimited, that's only if the person does not share any crab with the others at the table. However, the dish itself with two crabs is a pretty sizable amount for most people to eat. Overall, this restaurants is great for seafood and I recommend it if you want to try some novelty dishes in Bergen!

I still can't pronounce this place BUT I had such a wonderful dinner with friends here. They offer a prix fixe menu, so I had a three course meal. The choux pastry with shrimp, roe, and salmon were to die for. The cod and chorizo were just phenomenal, and the panna cotta was lovely. The space is in a charming old wooden building. It is slightly crooked which is characteristic of Bryggen. Not to be missed!

The Unicorn! Incredible food! The whale carpaccio was amazing. Every bite we had was outstanding. The service was great as well.

Very cool eating experience in the unesco heritage houses. Unbelievably fresh and tasty fish perfectly cooked with attentive and friendly service

True to the other reviews, this is a rather iconic restaurant in Bergen. I was intrigued by it's age, longevity, and storied history. Further fascinated by it's eclectic decor. The service and employees were adequate, not overly friendly. True to previous reviews, the food was good.

This was one of the better meals I had on a week-long trip in Norway. It is centrally located in the wharf area, famous from the Hanseatic Trading League. While it might seem like a tourist trap restaurant, I found it to be quite the opposite. Our group of three did make a reservation for the following evening while walking around the wharf one afternoon. We walked upstairs to the restaurant and a gentleman helped us out with our request. The following evening we came back and were promptly seated in the dining room. At the time we sat down, the restaurant was about half full, but it was completely full by the time we departed. While you might get a chuckle out of the wooden unicorn figure on display next to the name of the restaurant, and his, well...ummmm...let's just say we know that HE is a HE. 'Nuff said. Anyways, there are a few more figures on display inside, in all his glory, to watch over you as you eat, or perhaps get a "hey Mom look at the unicorn's junk" comment from a child. The interior of the restaurant is woody, dark, and moody. The servers were attentive. For a starter, I tried the fish soup. It was good, though I found my entree to be far superior. I ordered a steamed halibut which came with a spinach sauce. The fish was excellent, it was a large portion, and I left full and content. Should my travels take me back to Bergen, I will definitely revisit this restaurant. Given the quality of the food, we found it to be quite a value.

The service is nice but not frequent and the host is friendly. We were allowed to use the restroom before my reservation time. I love the menu, it carries so many Nordic traditional dishes, such as the whale steak, reindeer steak, Atlantic wolffish (catfish), deer stew, mussels, etc. We ordered the grilled reindeer steak and the pan fried wolffish. Both are beautifully plated, good portions and delicious with the right amount of seasoning. The Nordic cuisine likes to use local fruits to add sweetness to the sauce. I took out 1star because t hey are pricy. For entrees in the price range of 40-60 is fine, but when the desserts are priced at 20+, they lose the marginal satisfaction. Great location, great food. If your time in Bergen is short, this is one proper meal worth splurging on.

There are two portions of this market, the permanent structure with a few shops and sit down places to eat inside and the outdoor tents where you can also shop and eat, with limited seating. The good: - There was a lot of variety. There are plenty of stands selling goods and food to eat. - The vendors and people working the tents were mostly very nice and most of them let you sample certain items. - The reindeer hot dog we ate was fan-flipping-tastic and I'd eat one once a week if I could. The bad: - The seafood was less local and more what's popular. I didn't come to Norway to have Norman (French) oysters or branzino from the Mediterranean. - The pricing was all over the place, but mostly extremely expensive. We were wanting to try a reindeer hotdog and we saw one at three different stands. Each stand had a different price for the same item. We went to the cheapest stand, it's a hot dog, but didn't get the items advertised. It was just strange and off putting. - Not enough seating. Overall, a nice place to walk through but kind of underwhelming.

The food itself was very bland and lacked the bold flavors you typically expect from Thai cuisine. While the service was fast, it wasn't attentive. At the table next to us, another guest ordered Pad Thai and asked for soy sauce, but it took the server about 10 minutes to bring it. Overall, this was not a great dining experience.
