I'm so pleased with my pest service. Every time they come to spray my lawn or my interior, they are so kind and respectful. In addition if I ever have any problems, a quick call to the office is always answered by a very kind lady Marcy who is a true gem. For example, I called to mention that I saw some small pests indoors, and they were there within the week for an extra spray. Also, I am incredibly displeased with another service I bought prior to knowing royal pest, I'm sure everyone is familiar with Terminix. I already paid the initiation fee for termite control with Terminix, which was around $6000 for doing bait traps, but that is kind of where their service ended. Despite multiple calls to them, I haven't had any luck with having them come out a second time. I was thinking about switching to Royal pest for my termite control however, I already paid the initiation fee with Terminix and it doesn't really make sense to switch back over since I'm only paying a small continuation fee. Unfortunately, as I was looking in to several companies I found that many of the name brand companies like Orkin, Terminix, etc. really left a lot to be desired. Why you may ask well good question.... So for some of us that have opted to have spray foam insulation installed in our homes at some point, as it is some of the best insulation out there, it seems these companies (especially Orkin) have absolutely no interest in helping us out or even discussing any options with me. They flat out just said thanks but no thanks... Enter "The Termite Guys" and boy am I very glad I called this outfit. Let's just say they really know how to provide excellent customer service. Spoke to both Matthew and Eddie and both were knowledgeable and worked with me to treat my house for both dry wood termites and subterranean termites as well. After some discussion we coordinated getting the house treated at the same time I replaced my roof so I could treat all the new wood being installed. I can tell you that there are not many companies that are willing to do something like that but the Termite Guys are willing to work with you and do whatever it takes to get you taken care of. After treating my home, I opted for a maintenance plan where they come back periodically to inspect and retreat if necessary. One thing is for sure, here in South Florida all our homes are subject to getting termites at one point or another. When you do do you want to work with a national company that cares little to nothing about you and your home or do you want to work with a local company that cares and will work with you to put a plan together and get you taken care of. From my perspective, this company was a real pleasure to work with and I highly recommend you give them a call if you are looking to treat your home for termites. Javier replied promptly and I called the office to make the appointment. The appointment was for today (Friday) between 12 and 4:00 p.m. I have had quite a bit of work done on the house over the past year and I have not had anyone who needed a four hour window, but these guys do for some unknown reason. I made the appointment and gave them all the necessary information. On Thursday I turned off my phone for work and after work I go to school. I often don't turn the phone back on until the next day. On Friday I saw that they had left three voicemails confirming my appointment. First of all, a service call does not require a confirmation. I gave them my address. I had agreed upon a ridiculously large window. All they had to do was show up. Again, I have had a lot of work done and I have had close to 20 service people at my house giving me estimates. Not one of them ever confirmed the appointment. Later on I saw they had texted me, confirming my appointment from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. That was not the time I had agreed upon. Either this was a mistake, or they had changed the time of the appointment without checking with me. Either way it looks like incompetence on their part. I waited all day and they never showed up. At 3:00 I texted Javier again and let him know that I had an appointment and asked if he knew what time they planned on getting here. He never replied. The end result is, I wasted an entire day waiting for a company that never showed. I assume it's because I did not confirm the appointment, but I did confirm it. I confirmed it when I made it. That is all the confirmation that any company needs when they have my address. It's not like I can sneak out on them. They know where I live. Instead they chose to be highly unprofessional and simply not show up. This is inexcusable and a poor way to treat a potential customer. Particularly when that customer was brought to you through Yelp. They should have realized that it would end up with a bad review.

As I was standing in front of the toilet doing my business, a rat swam up out of the drain. I had heard of this kind of thing happening, but I thought it was an urban legend. Nope. It can really happen. After chasing him down the drain with the toilet bowl brush, and shoving the brush into the drain to keep him away, I went online to see what could be done. Naturally, I turned to Yelp for an exterminator. I learned a few things; first, the rat did not come from the sewer, it came from the roof and down the sewer vent. That is now covered. Second, the rats were attracted to my bird feeder, which is now gone (sadly). Edgar came out and reviewed the entire house with me, showing me where they were getting in and laying out a plan of action that would eradicate them. I am beyond happy with the work he did. It's only been a little over a week and I can already see a huge difference. I did find out that they had made it into the attic, but they are being exterminated as I type this. Edgar is amazing. He knows what he's doing, he is incredibly thorough and he does everything he can to ensure that he doesn't make a mess in the house. I was very impressed with him, and not surprised given that he has 62 reviews and 5 stars. When I checked his website I found that I was technically out of his range, but he agreed to come anyway.
