Definitely can't play hide and seek behind the bushes or pick flowers for your mom or you'll get yelled at by the property and grounds staff. If your child is fascinated by nature I wouldn't recommend coming here. You'll get the side eye just for looking at the trees. You'll just have to see for yourself and it will make more sense. And not being able to bring your bikes or scooter or sidewalk chalk?? I've never seen these kinds of rules at a park. There is so much sidewalk and smooth paved areas, it would be perfect for all of those things!! I would say it was moderately busy with maybe 3-5 families present. My kid was initially playing by himself on the playground set before he joined some other kids playing basketball. The Deets: I had a chance to walk around and enjoy the Shallowford Square park with my mother on Mother's Day. It's a good resource in the middle of Lewisville, across the street from Lewisville Town Hall on Shallowford Road. It is available for outdoor events and it looks well maintained, clean, and neat. The general layout looking like an amphitheater where people can bring their lawn furniture and/or blankets, etc. to see movies and performances shown outdoors, music/concerts and other outdoor entertainment. There is a pavilion in the park and looks like it can be rented through the Town of Lewisville. Alcohol is generally prohibited within the park ("only allowed at events being held with prior written approval by the Town of Lewisville" per the website at this time). The Lewisville Veterans Memorial is within Shallowford Square also. A nice playground is located in the back of this park for kids to use. There are also great celebrations/events held here as well such as the Street Party & Food Truck Festival and also the Christmas Tree Lighting with Santa for example. I do note many signs/painted instructions saying there are no pets allowed in Shallowford Square and it's a bit disappointing. I realize that there are a good number of people out and about that do not clean up after their pets but I remain disappointed that pets that do have responsible owners cannot enjoy this nice open space, so that is my only star off for here. Overall, I find Shallowford Square a nice place to visit in the Town of Lewisville.

Trying to convince a toddler to leave the playground to walk that far is such a battle. If it wasn't for that I'd probably go more regularly. Winston salem needs playgrounds like this!!
