4/17/2023 Pack and Unpack Boxes…read moreWe recently moved to Windsor, and needed help unloading three 16 ft. PODS with a household full of furniture and heavy boxes. The Moving Caddies came to my rescue and unloaded and placed the furniture and boxes just where I wanted it, in a timely manner. They were very professional and reasonably priced. I would not hesitate using them again.

Proceed with Caution - Costly Damage and Poor Handling I'd…read morerecommend proceeding with caution if you're considering Caddy Movers. To start, the two movers were kind and polite - I want to give them credit for that. My reservation was for 12 PM, and I was told they'd arrive between 12-1, but I didn't receive a clear heads-up on timing and they showed up at 11:58 AM. They began billing as soon as they arrived, and since I don't live on-site and was running behind picking up the truck, I ended up being billed for that time. I understand part of that is on me for running late, but clearer communication would have helped. Unfortunately, the actual move is where things went downhill. Furniture was dropped, pushed through doorways, and not handled with much care. I have a white couch that I've kept in great condition, and they laid it on its side and dragged it across the floor of the storage unit and truck. By the end, it was covered in black dust. At the time, I was trying to be understanding and didn't say much - especially since the manager asked for feedback over the phone while I was standing right next to the movers. After everything was done, I discovered damage to multiple door frames in my home. That was the tipping point for me. I now have to pay for repairs and likely professional cleaning for the couch. I wasn't planning to leave a review, but given the extent of the damage, I felt it was important to share.

We originally looked at other well known options. We have moved using other well-known truck…read morerental places (names start with U and P) but because it was winter and our move was from Colorado to Washington in winter I was quite apprehensive about driving a 20ft truck through the mountain passes of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming Idaho and Washington. Especially towing our car. So we decided to check out U-Pack. Probably one of the best decision I've ever made. They brought us a 28ft trailer and even though we only reserved 17ft, they told us to feel free to use more if needed (at an additional nominal cost per foot). They placed it in front of our house with the ramp down and ready for us to load it. We had it loaded within a day or two and I called them and they came next business day and picked it up. Approximately 10 days later the trailer was delivered to the front door of our new home. Because we packed it we knew that it was secure and barring any unforeseen accidents we figured that it would get to our house pretty unscathed. And that's exactly what happened. Not one thing was broken. It also ends up that the weather was horrid and it took us multiple days of stopping and waiting for roads to clear before we could get to our destination. I don't know what I would've done if I had been driving that big truck pulling our car. If you're moving I'm telling you this is the way to go. This company has it together completely. The other thing I forgot to mention is that we didn't have to pay for the gas for the big truck to drive over 1000 miles through mountains like with other truck rentals. Even better was the cost for U-Pack trailer was about $1000 less than the rental of the trucks from the big companies. I highly recommend U-Pack for your next move.

They were late dropping my stuff off and when I called to get an ETA they were once again just as rude. The customer service rep refused to give me direct answers to my questions told me she would call me right back, she didn't. When I called back the other rep started talking very slowly and condescendingly without giving me an answer to my questions and hung up on me when I told her I understood but I needed a real answers.

The movers, Joe and Jose were very friendly and Joe, talkative with lots of questions. Some a little personal. I wasn't sure if they talked so much to take up more time since they were charging us $30/per hour, each. My husband ended up giving each an additional $30 tip each for their work. I did contact Jeannie after we unloaded our belongings into our storage unit but did not receive a reply, which was disappointing. While unloading, we both noticed our reclining leather loveseat had a rip on the top corner where you can see the filling inside and another abrasion on the back. I know it was difficult to get out of our home but it was a little upsetting to see that. We also had a new expensive dining room table that we took apart and wrapped each piece in heavy plastic. The top corner got damaged from the friction from rubbing the moving truck floor. The guys had plenty of moving blankets we purchased for them to use for just this purpose. They also set a chest with pointy legs on top of my heirloom cedar chest with a custom upholstered top. The pointy legs were pushing into the upholstery and left marks since there were other items on top of that. They could have used a moving blanket there, too or not stacked them at all since we had more than enough room. One last thing, we could have paid cash but since they said they take cash or credit, we used our debit card. We were charged a fee. It would have been really nice for someone to mention this prior that there would be a fee to use a card. For the above reasons, I would not recommend unless it is a last minute emergency.
