And trust me when I say I have some beautiful but big/heavy furniture. They didn't complain at all despite the extreme heat and seemed to never run out of energy! This was the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend. No response. I called Friday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday...no answer, left messages except Thursday. Also, sent an inquiry on their website. I finally did receive a response via email on Thursday (a week later). They didn't have any record of my text and the date I needed was booked already...I would have hoped that someone would have reached out to me if they hadn't received my text, and/or checked their voicemail. I told them I had to find another mover as I was under a time crunch.

To start, the two movers were kind and polite - I want to give them credit for that. My reservation was for 12 PM, and I was told they'd arrive between 12-1, but I didn't receive a clear heads-up on timing and they showed up at 11:58 AM. They began billing as soon as they arrived, and since I don't live on-site and was running behind picking up the truck, I ended up being billed for that time. I understand part of that is on me for running late, but clearer communication would have helped. Unfortunately, the actual move is where things went downhill. Furniture was dropped, pushed through doorways, and not handled with much care. I have a white couch that I've kept in great condition, and they laid it on its side and dragged it across the floor of the storage unit and truck. By the end, it was covered in black dust. At the time, I was trying to be understanding and didn't say much - especially since the manager asked for feedback over the phone while I was standing right next to the movers. After everything was done, I discovered damage to multiple door frames in my home. That was the tipping point for me. I now have to pay for repairs and likely professional cleaning for the couch. I wasn't planning to leave a review, but given the extent of the damage, I felt it was important to share.

The first time my husband drove so all fine. 2nd and 3rd and 4th time we used affiliates of a major van line. Each time was a little worse than the first. The last move off CA to CO was an epic disaster. I don't think folks know what they get with BAM unless you've experienced the other side. Let me give you a small picture. The driver (NOT employees like BAM) crammed 3 households into his truck. He arrived 9!! Hours late and better yet arrived speaking on Face Time with his girlfriend while driving an 18 wheeler down a residential street. He had no people to help him unload so he went to Home Depot and picked up 2 people that kept saying "we aren't movers". He broke 3 lamps, "lost" my daughter's snowboard equipment, stole a necklace, .... My stand up desk after he put it together was LITERALLY spitting parts off it. The driver picks it up and throws it in the truck and says "I'll give you a $100". I can go on but you get the picture. With BAM I actually was sad to see the drivers leave. Never thought I'd say that. They packed - CAREFULLY- and helped me put furniture and carpets away. Not a thing was ruined. They were on time and ... are lovely people.
