I visited local bike shops; I searched the net all in a bid to find a top bike at a good price. I quickly find out this task was not as easy as I thought as some shops were using some deceptive business practices. They would tease out a low price as a bait and switch tactic or to upsell. So, finally I came across Two Brothers Bicycle Company. They met my two requirements. They advertised the bike I was looking for on sale at the most competitive price around, but they were 200 miles away literally, in another state. Not knowing much about the company, and a little bit apprehensive, I reviewed their site. They looked legit. So, I decided to purchase the bike from them. They did not disappoint. In fact, they exceeded my expectations. Two Brothers Bicycle Company expertly put the bike together in no time, wrapped it tightly and shipped it across the state line. There was no interminably long wait, no beating around the bush, no excuses. The bike arrived so fast that it seemed like a dream. But I just ordered it, I thought. Two Brothers Bicycle Co. did a good job packaging the bike tightly so it arrived safely. The bike arrived in a big box. I thought it was going to be heavy, but it was light about 10-20 pounds. I am not mechanically gifted, but it in less than 30 minutes I was able to unbox and put the bike together. I then performed a pre-ride safety check to made sure the bike was road ready. I took a couple of rides of varying length and levels of difficulty. The fit and seat were comfortable - Check 1. The bike shifted swiftly and smoothly - Check 2. The brakes worked well, no squeaking - Check 3. Two Brothers Bicycle Company delivered on their promise. No tricks, no bait and switch, just a good bike at a good price. What I like about the company is their professional attitude. They don't care whether you're local, national or international, black or white, if you want a good bike at a good price, just check us out, we have one for you. I find them to be highly competent; an honest, reputable company that makes it a pleasure to do business with them. Even though I was miles away from them, they made it a breeze to purchase a bike from them. Now on to those long rides I've been wanting to take. I took two bikes in for service, the one I purchased from them and another I already had. I gave them a month to fix it and get parts....it took two months to even get an answer from them. I would call every two weeks to try to get an update. They would blame everything on covid and how slow it is to get parts. Everyone's excuse! Finally got the owner and he said they had spare parts at the Bedford store...after two months!! The other bike needed a new chain,they replaced it and never even bothered to adjust the gears and derailleur. So when I rode it for the first time it was constantly clicking and shifting wrong. They even assembled a second bike for me on the spot so I could test a larger size. I want to let you know about Bob's expertise with musical instruments. My Instrument of Choice is an old closed-hole Pearl flute I purchased used a couple decades ago. It's provided me many years of happy creative musical expression. I confess - I have been a negligent flautist and not once did I ever take my friend in for professional maintenance. The longer I didn't do well by my flute, the more dread built up about the diagnosis if and when I finally brought her for a wellness check. You know, kind'ave like putting off going to the dentist? Ok - I may be stretching it. You know what I like about doing business with Bob? Had a rear flat tire on my electric bike. Went to Pro Bike + Run in Monroeville first. They said…read morethey do not work on any electric bike models they don't carry in their shop. Which I thought was dumb. A tire is a tire. So I drove half an hour to West Newton Bikes. The bike tech, Jerico, could not have been nicer or more efficient. He fixed the flat, remounted the tire, fixed some other little issues I had and I was back on the trail in less than an hour. All for a lot less money than I would have paid at the other place. It's a bit of a drive, but I'll be using them for all my biking needs from here on out.
