We had other local companies come out and either offer a costly solution that didn't seem to address the issue or they would say nothing was wrong. No one actually took the time to examine the issues and were more interested in who our insurance company was. EP Roofing came out promptly, checked everything out, showed us what was wrong and gave us solutions. The shingles on part of the roof had been put on improperly( not overlapping the edge of the roof) and water was dripping into the trim causing leaks in the house. They fixed the problem in one day replacing a lot of shingles and rotted wood. We get strong winds from the back that tend to lift up the shingles and poor installation had made this much worse, so they put in better materials and a metal strip to keep water out of the trim. Very affordable and we are painting the trim ourselves to save more money. We trust EP Roofing and very highly recommend them!

The guys who did the painting showed up a few minutes early each day. They got right to work. Each day they did a visual inspection; made a plan; and worked all day. After the first day, I realized I had made a mistake in the color. I decided that I wanted the cedar shingles and the brick to be different colors. Don (the owner) said no problem and got the color I wanted. Don double checked some details with me and kept me apprised of the progress. A week after mostly completing the job they were back to finish up the details, some of which I would have never noticed. (Weather was a factor in not being able to come to the house.) Several of our neighbors have stopped by, asked our painters name and complemented the bold change we made to the house. If it had not been done so well it would not look as great.

He offered us a quote for a new unit installed outright and then he told us about a 10 year payment program where you get your unit fully maintained and serviced for a monthly cost of $159. My husband was sold on both options, he didn't care which we close, but having a sales background, I'm almost immune and for our needs right now, this was not the program or company for us, but yes, if we were in our forever home, I would have totally considered buying what this man was selling.

I purchased the advantage plan which I receive two maintenance visits per year. During my most recent maintenance visit, the technician changed the filter and checked my 6 year old unit. He gave a report on my unit stating my capacitor reading was not the number it should be. He stated it would eventually go out. Also stated I needed Freon., and the compression would go out soon. About 30 minutes after he left, my house started getting hot. I checked the thermostat and saw the temperature was rising. I immediately called the company because my AC was working fine before the technician touched it. I made it clear to the Office Manager that I wanted my unit working like it was before he touched it and I wasn't paying any money to get it back to a working status. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the office manager seemed more focused on my frustration than on resolving the issue. After speaking with the owner, they sent the technician back. His conversation was the same as the office manager informing me what the technician wrote and telling me my capacitor just happened to go out when he left. Also said that's pretty normal. I can't make this crap up! When the technician returned , he immediately tried to sell me a new capacitor for $268, claiming his readings showed it was failing. I declined because I no longer trusted the company. I then called another HVAC company for a second opinion. Within minutes, they discovered the real problem--the technician left one switch on my breaker off which is why the unit was on when he left but went off 15 minutes later. . They flipped it back on, and my AC worked normal again. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my capacitor nor was freon needed. This isn't my first bad experience with Service Experts. Two years ago, after another technician came out for a maintenance visit, my capacitor failed the very next day. A different HVAC company later showed me the burned capacitor that had been removed from my unit. Keep in mind that wasn't on the report. I told the Service Expert and the other company that came out to replace it that it's very ironic my capacitor went out the very next day. Looking back, I strongly believe my original capacitor was replaced during that visit. Based on my experiences, I no longer trust Service Experts. I cannot recommend a company that creates unnecessary problems and then tries to sell expensive repairs that aren't needed. I would encourage anyone considering their services to get a second opinion before approving any recommended repairs. Also stay away from the maintenance service plan because it's only a gimmick to upsell at the customers expense. They will call you for your service visit that you pay on a monthly installment only to find a way to get more money out of you at any cost!!!!

I have emailed Michael Harrison 6 times (4/13, 4/23, 4/30, 5/11, 5/15, and 5/18) I received a response from him on May 11th saying that he would have a start date and a completion date within a day or so.
