He gave me a 20 min heads up when he was on his way and he got here promptly on time. I need 3 things: 1. I wanted my bathtub recaulked since it was gapping in some places and thin in others. 2. I needed my outdoor threshold recaulked since when there is heavy rain, it tends to intrude into my unit. I had done it during the last heavy rain but it was really messy and I think I had missed some spots. 3. The last was a small task of replacing the filter on my bidet. He was very clean and took his shoes off and put on covers when he came inside. He seemed very neat and organized. He did a very good job and I would definitely use him again for future task that I need around the house.

We placed this large area rub with nonskid mat cut to size underneath. He fixed a magnetic doorstop that had come away from the wall and we moved some furniture around. He is totally self-sufficient but also a great second pair of hands when you need careful help doing/moving something. Which reminds me, I have another list I need to get on his schedule about.

Nick and Max of Sam's Handyman Services did an amazing job of installing our new garbage disposal…read more They came over with their tools and expertise and had the old disposal out and the new one in place quickly. We felt like we were not able to diy this job and Nick and Max had a reasonable price for the work and didn't make us feel bad that it was above our skills. Nick communicated with us through text and kept us informed during the whole time he was scheduling and working on the job. They were tidy during the work and respectful of our kitchen tile. Nick even offered to take our old disposal and dispose of it. They left our kitchen very clean after their work. Nick said if our disposal leaked to contact him and they would come back and fix the leak as part of the job. It did leak and they came back the very next day, added some stuff they picked up on their way to our house and took the whole thing out and reinstalled. It has not leaked since they were last here. We were very impressed with their expertise and customer service and are going to have them do some more jobs at our vintage home. It has been challenging for us to find reliable and reasonable handyman services and are grateful for Sam's Handyman Services with Nick and Max.

Unfortunately, the experience was one of the worst I've had with a contractor. The first technician's workmanship was completely unacceptable. The pocket door privacy lock was not installed flush with the door, and the latch would not engage unless you pushed and wiggled the door back and forth to line it up. This is an expensive pocket door, and the installation looked amateurish. To make matters worse, the edge pull hook that was included with my lock kit disappeared during the installation. I personally unpacked the kit before the technician arrived and handled every component myself, so I know it was there. The technician insisted it was never included, then suggested he could come back the next day with another hook--but expected me to pay for both the replacement part and the installation. That is completely unacceptable. He also left the work area a mess. I happened to have another contractor at my home working on an unrelated project, and that contractor ended up cleaning up after the Super Handy Bros technician. I immediately contacted management, explained how poor the workmanship was, and specifically requested that the original technician never return to my home. Management agreed and scheduled a different technician. However, when the follow-up appointment arrived, the original technician showed up again simply to hand the job over to the new technician. After specifically requesting that he not return, seeing him back at my home was frustrating and unprofessional. The second technician was polite and clearly more experienced. However, communication was extremely difficult because he spoke very little English. Even simple questions about the installation were difficult to discuss, making it nearly impossible to understand what was being done or to ask questions during the repair. After he finished, I inspected the work. While it was an improvement over the first installation, it was still not what I would consider professional quality. Rather than properly correcting the installation, he used caulk to cover gaps and defects left by the original technician. The finished product still looked patched together instead of properly installed. I informed the manager that the work remained subpar and that I would not be paying for the installation. I also told him that I may require the company to replace and properly install a new pocket door if the damage caused by the poor workmanship cannot be corrected. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Super Handy Bros. Between the poor workmanship, the missing part, the lack of cleanup, the communication issues, and the company's handling of the situation, I have completely lost confidence in their ability to perform even basic home repairs. At this point, I would not trust this company to install something as simple as a wireless, battery-powered doorbell.
