Michelle in the front was super accommodating and said she would go see if our room was ready. If you make a 5 o'clock appointment, your massage doesn't start till 515 and it ends at 6:15 because they allow you 15 minutes to wind down and enjoy some tea They have monthly memberships and their prices are extremely fair I was supposed to have one girl give me a massage, but she had to leave early with an emergency and they gave me somebody else. The vibe, feel, idea, decor and staff friendliness would all be a five star rating. My husband says his massage was five stars. However, my massage was a one star. She pulled on my toes and my fingers and that was not pleasant, she massaged my scalp so hard that I got an Indian burn on my head from my hair and her fingers. She forgot my name, and I really just did not enjoy my massage. I really wanted to love this place as we were looking for a new place to do memberships. Unfortunately, we are doing our memberships for the next six months at another spa. Perhaps we might come back and give this place another try after our six month membership is up at the other place and I would request a different therapist.

Ashley graciously offered to help me and she knew exactly which ones to recommend. I was overwhelmed by the amount of shades and she color matched me perfectly (which has never happened before). I have a hard skin tone to pinpoint because of undertones and my face being paler than my neck. She also offered to add my shade to my sephora account which I thought was so above and beyond. Theresa checked me out at the end and helped me pick out a gift using some of my points. She was so helpful and friendly too. The world needs more of their kindness! I'm disappointed that the spa's policies and management get in the way of real relaxation. When I visited on Aug 15, I asked the assistant manager Zoe to help me freeze my membership. Zoe explained that I could freeze the membership for up to 3 months, and that I'd be charged a $10/month maintenance fee. She then promised to waive the $10 fee since I was such a frequent customer. She explained that I'd receive an email with a form to sign about freezing my account. I was due to be billed on Aug 20, so Zoe explained that I would not be billed since the freeze had been initiated. I never received the form, and on Aug 20, Hand & Stone tried to bill me. I immediately called and re-explained the situation to be told that Zoe had left no record of freezing my account. The receptionist promised to place me on the manager's call list. On the 21st (today), the spa tried to bill me again. I called and was placed on a 15-minute hold. Finally the phone was answered by Brooke, the spa manager. I explained the situation, and she did have notes from the Aug 20 conversation with the desk attendant. However, Brooke explained that since the billing date had passed, I either had to a) pay the bill, or b) cancel the membership and forfeit my 4600 rewards points (which would've remained intact if I had been allowed to freeze). Though I've never missed a payment and have been a loyal customer for the past year, she could not do anything else for me. I decided to cancel. I should not be penalized for a staff member's negligence when I attempted to follow the proper procedure. I do not want to return.
