I like that they offer 30 minute massages (most places around here don't) because sometimes that's all I need (or all my wallet can take). I'm in pain a lot and often need a light touch. Jessica is my massage therapist and she always asks how the pressure is, which I really appreciate, since sometimes it's hard for me to speak up when I want something changed. She also remembers that I don't like the front of my neck touched and other little details. Her technique seems to be the perfect fit for me and she's the only person other than my partner I trust to touch me so I can really relax (and I'm the type of person who needs to really relax)! The receptionist and other staff I've met are really pleasant people.

When I went to pay, she hovered over me to see how much of a tip I was going to give her, which was uncomfortable and somewhat ridiculous, given the circumstances. I will note that I paid for the service- I didn't want to be accused of leaving without paying for that service. I believe that a business should take responsibility for any damage caused to a customer's belongings while on the premises. Had the technician taken responsibility and offered to compensate me for the damage, I would have been satisfied. I'm really very disappointed.

During the service, the wrap was repeatedly lifted while the solution was processing, and my brows were trimmed before setting both of which caused poor results. When I raised my concerns, the owner did not take responsibility and instead blamed the outcome on my brows rather than acknowledging the process errors. The handling of the situation felt dismissive and unprofessional. I paid $75 for a service that left my brows looking worse than before, and the way my concerns were brushed off was very frustrating. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. They keep deleting my review and somehow yelp is allowing this so I have to keep re-reviewing to hopefully warn others of what could happen if you go here. Here are my befores and after photos. As a resident of Cromwell, I've driven by Green Lotus many times, but today was the first time I decided to give it a try, and it was a great choice! I called Green Lotus late in the afternoon inquiring about an appointment for facial waxing either tonight or tomorrow night - and surprisingly, they were able to fit me in tonight. When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile from Monica, and she offered to hang up my coat and get me a drink. My appointment with Vanessa went very well - she introduced herself with a handshake and conversed with me throughout the appointment. I have some skin sensitivities and allergies, and Vanessa discussed these with me prior to my appointment and added them to my record. It even printed that I had an allergy on my receipt - so I'm very pleased to know they take that matter seriously! She really took her time and didn't rush through the service. If I were to describe both employees I dealt with, I'd say: Processional & Friendly. They both deserve a ton of credit for their great customer service - something that seems rare these days. The salon is very clean and the waxing room had soft, relaxing music in the background and a soothing fountain. I thought the price was reasonable and ended up booking a future appointment. I should have called but everything happened so quickly that I honestly was not thinking about the days appointments. I was unable to pick up my phone when they called but when I realized what had happened I called right back from the hospital. They do not answer their phone so I left a message and sent an email explaining what happened, I received no response and they charged me $185.00 for missing the appt. My message stated that I understood I would need to pay a cancellation fee and asked if under the circumstances if they could refund part of the $185.00 Well as I said there was no response. I would have been a very good client for these people as I would have utilized a number of their services on an ongoing basis. I did make a mistake but I think this is a very bad way to do business and a terrible way to take advantage of someone. Sometimes things just happen!
