I was promptly greeted by Steph at the front door and treated to a drink before my facial. It was a one hour facial with a scrub, red light therapy and small extraction. I thoroughly enjoyed the Eminence products and their natural floral smells from start to finish. The entire process was very relaxing and I probably booked another visit for the new year. From the heated bed and dark room, to the tingling exfoliation treatment, relaxing LED lights and more, it was a great experience. I especially liked the dermaplane treatment (gets all hairs and dead skin cells off your face with no down time) and LED red light, which I had on my face for 15 minutes. Fun fact: NASA uses LED red light to grow plants in outer space, so imagine how well that helps stimulate collagen on your face! This is a popular spot, so be prepared to book months in advance. They sell and use the Eminence organic skincare line, which is gentle and seems to have pure ingredients. I was given some samples for the road, as well as a hot tea, which was so sweet. Enjoy!

I called after realizing I wanted to add a pedicure. They asked me to come in early at 10am and I agreed. I got my pedicure done and issues didn't start until the nail tech couldn't paint a tiny red heart on my big toe after 3 attempts . I said, no worries, I'll go without. I was ok with just the plain polish on just my toes. I got finished at 11:18am and noticed Tommy was having someone else sit in his chair. Confused I spoke up and showed my confirmation. She said oh must've been some mix up or confusion. After 15 minutes of waiting she offered me the man that couldn't paint a heart of my feet to then do my nails, I quickly said no, he can't do the style I want. She said don't worry, I will step in when it's time. Because it was getting late, I agreed. After about 6 minutes I said, you are aware I'm getting gel extensions right? The lady then informed me didn't know how. So I had to sit about 15 minutes. A nice older lady tried to help but she struggled. I have large bubbles under majority of my nails and they're sore. Because of this, the polish is blotchy. The lady who was rude from the beginning stepped in when it was time for the design and she couldn't do a simple heart either. So I said never mind, it's ok. I'll go without. I was then told I was being difficult which confused me because I'm a paying customer. I asked for her to do one final wipe down on my nails before a lot of lent from their towels was stuck to it. She quickly said no, you get what you asked for. I said hey, I love this place, I'm not trying to be rude. I just want them wiped down. So she finished up. Before I left I turned around and said. All of this could've been avoided if Tommy was doing my nails like I requested online. Tommy then waved at me and I left. I hate this because he really is the best. Having gone a couple of…read moremonths without a facial -- mainly due to apathy with the selection here in Broad Ripple -- and not having the time to go out of the area, I was happy that my hair salon, A Do, opened a spa next door a couple of months ago. I saw Danelle today. After Danelle examined my skin, she recommended an anti-aging facial that she had on special for Thanksgiving. Not only was the facial one of the BEST that I've received since moving from Northern California to Indianapolis in 2010, but Danelle also included a fabulous neck and shoulder massage...not a quick 5 minute massage either...I left there feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The room was comfortable, the products she used smelled so good that I was craving a smoothie, and the music she played was soothing without being typical spa flute music. An extra bonus is that the spa is about a mile from my home in Broad Ripple and I was able to walk to and from the spa and enjoy the fall weather. I will be back...you can count on it!

I've had perfect skin up until a year ago, but now it's a disaster. On top of skin that's starting to show a little bit of age, I've got acne scars and a new break out daily. They fit me right in when I needed and even when I showed up early, I still didn't have to wait. On top of that, the receptionist was extremely friendly, which to me, is a huge deal. I made a impromptu decision to go ahead and get an express facial, because that's all I had time for, and it was absolutely amazing. Complete with a neck massage, my first facial was a dream come true. Danelle gave me some advice on what my skin needs, and recommended a renew serum for my skin, which they carried in their salon. Of course, I bought it. I'm planning on getting a facial every 2-3 months until I can tame this mess on my face, and I will continue to go to Danelle every time! Afterwards there was no pressure to get a membership (my biggest fear because I HATE a sales pitch). My skin felt cleaner and was glowing. He didn't miss! Jomar was wonderful. Son had scheduled for Swedish massage but I needed a firmer touch. Jomar graciously accommodated the change and provided the best massage I've had! He was very mindful of getting in tune with what I needed. There was no need for me to give him instruction after my initial request - he just worked his magic! I scheduled again with Jomar this week. He did not disappoint!! Deep tissue this time was perfect. I was feeling a little under the weather before my appointment, so I called to make sure it was OK if I still came in. I was encouraged to still come in since I wasn't contagious. Best decision! (This makes me feel all sorts of feelings! Why can't things stay the same and continue forever and ever?) However, nothing is forever, darling. I now see another amazing massage therapist at Indy Massage Company named Matthew. He is pretty great, and I look forward to relaxing on his table each month at IMC. He is intuitive and firm yet incredibly gentle, and I'm able to just surrender and let him work his magic. I've mostly only booked Swedish massages with him, but one time I booked a longer session where he really worked out the muscles in my upper back and shoulders, which really needed attention. Indy Massage Company is one of my favorite places in Indy, and I continue to love visiting this place when I can.
