This is a chain in Arkansas. It's a bar with food. The food is pretty consistent and pretty good. Staff is always friendly. I would recommend this if you want to go to a bar that's kind of Loud and watch a game or something. read more

Skinny Js is a jewel in Paragould! Fast, friendly service in a hip setting with 90's rock music. The crab cake appetizer (2 large) was served with a flavorful remoulade and fresh tomato garnish. It had a light and crunchy crust and savory crab filling that was perfectly hot and delicious. The simple house salad had a bright tasting herbal balsamic dressing that was a crisp fresh pairing with the crab cakes. The bacon cheddar burger was excellent with a thick juicy quality beef patty topped with cheese and bacon between a large warm lightly buttered brown crust bun. It was served with a fresh tomato slice and lettuce garnish. On the side we're thick spiral beer battered potato fries that were hot with a thin flaky crust. Scrumptious! This is probably my favorite steakhouse in town. If you're going to spend the money on a steak this would be the place it's a melt in your mouth steak. The atmosphere there is amazing. They treat you you like family. It's a sports bar but it gives you more of a rustic restaurant vibe. I just love this place. The waitress and waiters go above and beyond. I found Jimmy J's on my way through Arkansas. I was pleasantly surprise by everything! Walking through the door we were welcomed by friendly staff and an eclectic vibe. The food is outstanding; I would suggest the Buffalo Fries and Juicy J Burger. Food has tons of flavor with a unique touch to the multiple menu options. The staff were awesome and attentive. The general manager personally thanked us for visiting Jimmy J's. I assured him we would definitely be back next time we are in the area. We have had dinner here a couple times and both times we enjoyed our meals. I had a ribeye the last time and it was just as I ordered it (medium rare) and very good. On an previous visit, I had a chicken pasta dish and it fit the bill and my stomach well. One thing I really like about this place is that they serve oysters here. We will order them on the half shell just about anytime we see them in the menu. Both times we came in we had the oysters and they were good. The only suggestion I can offer is they could do a better job shucking the oysters as I had a couple fall apart when I went to dress them with the cocktail sauce and horseradish. Otherwise, I will be ordering them again on my next visit. read more

So I randomly found this place cause I was trying to reroute past all the flooding in North East Arkansas. I didn't expect to visit Paragould but I'm glad I did. The pimento cheese burger with fried jalapeños was so good. It's a cool little bar with good ambience and the wait staff was super nice. Was in Paragould for work. Hotel recommended this place and I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't look like much on the outside but the food was outstanding. We went in on a Saturday night about 5:45 and got seated shortly after we arrived. I started with the Charbroiled Oysters, which were fairly good, but quite small. I wouldn't call what came with them 'french bread' as much as I'd call it 3 pieces of hard bread with butter. Also had the half ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and the broccoli. Ordered it medium rare, and it came out more to the rare side, but I had no problem with that as I usually order steaks rare, but didn't here because it was my first one. I got the horseradish on top, which I though would be crusted but was simply slathered on. The garlic mashed potatoes were nothing to write home about, and the broccoli was, well, broccoli. My wife had the Skinny's Shrimp. It was supposed to have a sweet chili sauce, but there was no sense of heat. She was hoping for a dish like Bang Bang shrimp at Bonefish Grille, but no such luck. We asked if they had Sriracha to kick it up, and he said yes, but what they brought out was a cup of some red sauce with tobasco in it. Blegh! She also had a house salad which came in a bowl so small stuff would fall onto the table while eating from it, so we asked for a larger bowl for that. Service was initially good, but deteriorated by the end of the meal. I had ordered another round of oysters, and these took almost 15 minutes, and they had to go searching for a fork, which took another few minutes. Our bill, with two iced teas, was about 52$. I might come back for some oysters and beer at the bar, but I can't see coming back for dinner again. YMMV - Friends of mine were there later after 8pm and had a horrible time. The got warm/hot beer, delays in service and bad service. By the time they were ready to leave, no one wanted to come get the bill, so they only paid half the bill, left a note about how poor their experience was, and left. They even waited outside to see if someone would come looking for them, but on one did. Second visit: Came back here a few nights ago and had the Black and Blue salad, and other then the steak slices being cut a bit too thick, it was rather good. The Seared Tuna Nachos were tasty, even if some of the pieces were cut too big. We sat upstairs away from the weekend music with someone who knew the staff, so service was pretty good. read more

Ok so all the hype is just that....HYPE. we ordered out from the paragould location tonight and with my loaded chicken i got cold slimy toppings, soggy onion rings, and my rice is so overcooked its mushed. I am a BIG fan! What a great place! I just discovered this place but it's now my "go to" restaurant when in the Paragould area. The building itself appears to be an old one remodleded in that hip fashion of exposed brick and floor joists. Service was extra friendly. I had the 8 ounce sirloin with onion rings and fried green beans. At $15 it was a bargain. Welcome have I had a quality cut like that. Nice and tender, cooked exactly the way I ordered and whatever that seasoning is was FANTASTIC. I cannot say enough nice things about the steak. The rings were nice and crisp with a good flavor. The fried green bean fries were really good as well. My companion ordered a fried green tomato sandwich which she pronounced excellent. She also got French fries. The fries were somewhere between a potato wedge and a curly fry with a lint crispy coating. I thought they were delicious. Nice atmosphere and what looked like a large covered patio type area.
