Located right off the Strand. Definitely worth a stop in. Such a neat store to browse around and take in the pleasant aromas. They apparently make all of their items. Tons of soaps, bath bombs, essential oils, make up, lotions, bath salts and more! It reminds me a little of LUSH, but this store is locally owned. Located off the strand, this place hand makes all of their soaps, lip balms, lotions, beard care, wax melts, etc w/the exception of some Ghana soap that helps with problem skin from acne to psoriosis. You will be greeted by a wonderful smell, take you time & look around as there is plenty to see in this small store. Love, love their soaps & if you can't decide there is a bowl with smaller slices & individually wrapped. I love their sugar lip scrub that comes with a small tube of lip balm. After scrubbing your lips you can just lick the sugar away (yum). Very nice lady & fellow dog lover showed me around & her favorite products. I ended up getting a few things as gifts. PIT PASTE REVIEW ~ Well...I never thought I'd be inclined to chat about body odor in a public forum, but here goes. For years I used clinical deodorant and was embarrassed (if you know what I mean ) if I missed a day. In March I was introduced to PIT PASTE. I was put off at first by the suggested 3 finger application, (after using an applicator with the commercial product my whole life) but quickly got over it and started applying. This was a pleasant little shop to visit in my trip back home. I didn't meet the owner, but the employee I met was very nice! She explained everything very well, though I took my sister in later and she wanted to see only one of the bath bombs in a demo and the employee said she was only allowed to show all of them? A little odd in practice but we were strapped for time so we had to leave, though I bought their "Pit Paste" because I've been looking for a more eco-friendly deodorant that works well and lasts. Looks like I found the one! If not for the paste, I would still highly recommend a visit. read more

This is like my Wanka factory. Everyone is allowed their opinions and I've read what people have said about her but i just have to say in my experience she is one of the most caring people I've met. I used to love this store and promoted it to all my friends. She used to be so nice as long as I was buying lots of her products and providing picture and reviews of her products... I thought we were friends...BOY was I wrong! Even tho the owner was cruel to her employees, and rude to me sometimes, I figured it was just who she was & tryed hard to not be on her bad side. I purchased thousands of dollars over the years to support her business. After not getting accurate information on shelf life from the employee when they were early in their business, the owner personally promised to exchange the items for the same amount I had purchased them for. I sent them all back to her in the mail as I am clear across the country and visit yearly for a couple winter months. Previously, she told me she recieved my package and would put a stick note on her board to get it taken care of for me. After months of not hearing back, I sent her emails, called the store, when I came back to Galveston, went into the store would never get a reply and was always told she wasnt in the office. They must have thought I had left the building and she and her employee closed up the shop and just as I was walking out of the spice store next door, they appear infront of my mom, sister and I. She looked at me like, oh crap, looked up in the air and immediately became very defencive... the employees face turned bright red of embarrassment...she had been lying to me for a long time. I asked why she was avoiding me and I would like to get settled up. She was very rude and my family stared in awe of the owner as She told me she had no idea what I was talking about, some other choice words and they walked away rudely. They knew the whole story... I emailed th company's "rep" and he basically said she called me a lyer and I would not get a replacement or my money back and to have a nice day. I emailed back, always politely, and said it's sad that she lies & does business like this and I should have listened to the numerous people that warned me about her. I'm happy to never go in that store again, I have started making my own product from recipes on PINTEREST and they are cheaper and better. I found a fabulous deoderant called Lume if you dont want to make your own! Lotion is Sooo easy to make!!! Just be careful, ask questions and listen to your gut. If you are not treated with respect, listened to or talked down to, just leave...we all deserve better than that. read more

Fantastic shop in the heart of downtown Galveston. My family and I have always enjoyed our trips into the shop and use several of their products on a daily basis. After trying several beard products from various internet sites I found the best right here in Galveston at Skinsational. The staff has always made us feel like family. This place is new and soooo beautiful!!!! There are a wide array of all natural skin products for men, women, children and also pets. The store smells great. The soaps smell like cake and candy. The best store I've ever been in. Isabella is by far the most impressive person I've ever met. She is 13 and already owns her own store!!! She greeted us when we walked in, she gave us samples and showed us how all the bath bomb work. She took the time to talk to us, get to know us and show us her product. She is the example of an amazing entrepreneur and someone who loves their business. She is going places in this world and it was an honor to be able to buy a couple bath bombs from her! I came here with my soon-to-be in-laws, who are visiting from out of the country. We have been in this store several times before and have purchased several items that we wanted to recommend to them. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a very nice employee who asked us if we needed anything. However, when my future father-in-law opened up a body butter (that was clearly labeled as a TESTER), a different employee barged into the middle of our group, got into his face, and said that he should not be opening the product and that he didn't know how to use it correctly. She also stated that "No means no in any language" and continued with her demeaning behavior. We were never told that these tester products were not meant to be opened. In every other experience here, we have tested all of the TESTERS, as we thought was the intended purpose. We said nothing, just made our way to the door. This same employer sees us leaving and very loudly said "good." I am absolutely appalled by the behavior of this employee. We have never had anything but great service here, but due to this incredibly rude incident, we will not bring our service to this busineds any longer. read more

Upon entering the store, the sales clerk completely berated my 12 year old daughter for attempting to touch the bath salts. The clerk YELLED at my child, that she was recently written up for another customer touching the salts, and she wasn't going to pay for it again. She then called the store manager over, who behaved in the same unprofessional way. I will never step foot in this store again. read more

Totally disappointed! I went yesterday for the first time. It's pricey but since it was local I was okay with it. I asked about the bubble bar for my two year old. The sales person said it was safe. I asked about the bubble quality she said they last awhile and come back if you move your hands around the water quickly. So I buy this seven oz can for like $16. I get my toddler all excited for Bubbles and end up with bubbles that last less than one minute. I tried putting more in and same thing. I tried foaming it in my hands first still nothing. Then I flip it over to look for directions and see that it says keep out of reach of children. Now I'm pretty annoyed! I feel like they were completely dishonest with me. I did enjoy my bath bomb but won't be going back to buy anything else after this bubbless bubble bar!!! read more

The owner is very rude to her employees belittles them and makes the employees follow and hover over the customers. If they don't then she will yell at them more. She yells at them in front of customers. I won't step foot in her shop or buy any products from someone who can't treat their employees with some dignity especially when they are teenagers. read more

The bath and body product store is great and I love their bubble dust even though it's pricey. They just opened a makeup bar and the products are nice with a good concept and I actually have no issues with their products at all. The sales girls are very nice and helpful but the owner is a different story. She corrects them, hovers over them, and bad mouths them in front of customers. The poor girl was trying her best and helping us as well as checking on customers and her boss was belittling her and being rude to her in front of us as well as talking down about her employee to us. read more

I have been going to Skinsational for a year now and all I can say is wow. i've read other reviews and can't understand the bad ones. From owner to staff I have never had a bad experience. Everything I have purchased has been great. The White Tea lotion is exceptional and my husband loves any of their products that have coconut in them. FYI I travel from Pearland to purchase products from here. I've worked in retail for 7 years and understand the importance of true customer service. read more
