In summary: Do not get laser hair removal here! The strip of hair I wanted to keep was lasered and is not growing back!!! I have two circular bald spots in my "racing strip". They would not give me a refund! The are I really wanted gone had no effect because it was not done thoroughly. Full Experience: I went in January 2023 for laser hair removal. I had my consult with the secretary because the laser tech was in an appointment, I would have rather met the actual tech. I bought a package for the bikini area. At the appointment, I noticed that the tech did not outline the area to be covered. I told the tech I wanted to keep a "racing strip", which I had cut short but did not shave off. The tech told me not to open my legs!? So I sat with knees in bent position and the crease didn't get any laser. She started in a back and forth row pattern on the top left side but then did a brisk pulse down the labia. On the right ride, the tech (Lynn) did not do a "row" pattern and just lasered random spots. Then she hit my racing strip with two pulses and now I have two circular bald spots!!! I'm livid! She didn't pay attention to detail at all. The labia area and crease had zero effect at all. Probably because it was not done thoroughly. I was hesitant about choosing a location for my laser hair removal treatments (I read a lot of bad reviews about other places like Ideal Image being a scam) but I am SO happy I chose Skinsational. Their prices are reasonable and straight forward. They also offer promotional deals such as free underarms with purchase of bikini laser package. Everybody gets the same price and the same package no matter what skin tone or hair type you have - other places I called said the price goes up based on this criteria which made no sense to me. After toying with the idea of laser hair removal for years, I finally contacted Skinsational. I was able to be consulted over the phone and schedule my first appointment for the very same week. Pricing is upfront and honest. Upon walking into the office and meeting the staff, I immediately felt at ease, which speaks volumes considering how intimate the nature of this procedure is! The staff I've encountered so far are Karen and Lynn and they are responsible for my feeling of comfort here. Both are super kind and accommodating. Karen usually helps me with scheduling and she is a total gem. Lynn has been my technician and going to see her is like going to catch up with an old friend. She's highly skilled and overall amazing at what she does. Also I should note - laser hair removal is virtually painless (and oh-so-quick in terms of session time length!)!!! I would not want to see anyone else except Lynn for these procedures! In addition to laser hair removal, I also purchased a laser tattoo removal treatment package to touch up my current tattoo. While it isn't quite as painless as the laser hair removal, it's tolerable. The machines used for both hair and tattoo lasering have a cooling feature, and Lynn makes your safety and comfort her first priority. She is thorough and quick and fun! I am conflicted about this review. I paid a lot of money for facial mole removal and Dr. Luciano was kind and professional. He even treated my moles twice because some of them grew back. However, some of them grew back lightly again (bad skin I know) and while I understand the risks in repeating the treatment, I didn't get my desired outcome and it felt like they didn't really give me any options or care to spend more time on me. Again, I spent a lot of money for about 10 minutes total worth of treatment. I have read other places being willing to treat more than 2 times until the moles are completely or virtually eliminated. read more

Does an alright job but results aren't perfect. Price is lower than most but results reflects the price.

They are very professional and Dr. Luciano will not talk you into to unnecessary procedures. I went there for hair removal and was told I needed more treatments on a low setting for hair removal to prevent hyperpigmentation due to my olive skin. They charged me the same price for the package even though it was for more appointments. They are patient and thoroughly addressed any concerns. Unfortunately I strayed when I did my touch up hair removals because I was no longer in the Providence area. The other clinic was inexperienced and rushed me and caused severe hyperpigmentation on both my cheeks. I regret not making the longer trip to Skinsational for my touch ups on the face. I had lipo with this doctor in March and a week later experienced severe back pain and problems. I called the doctors office and went to see him about the pain and he just acted like I was crazy and practically laughed at me and did not offer any help. He told me I would be working out in a week after the procedure. I went to an orthopedic doctor and my spine was completely traumatized and the inflammation was severe enough to cause my spine to become completely straight. In addition the trauma triggered my disc to herniate and severe sciatica. I never had a back problem in my life. He should have immediately known the problem and taken some steps ..but he did not. My pain has been through the roof. I can't tell if the lipo was good because it is still lumpy. I would suggest going to a Board Certified Surgeon with years of surgical experience. I would ask for my money back, but he would never refund anything. The money is more important than the patient in my opinion. read more

Purchased laser hair removal when they were running a special for free underarm laser with purchase of bikini package. Pricing was competitive and they allow a payment plan. Package included 9 sessions total. Laser technician was extremely friendly and professional. I am happy with my results on the bikini area. However, my only complaint would be that in the beginning they are very optimistic about the results and tell you that you will not have to shave again, etc. As I progressed with my treatments I pointed out to technician that I had little to no results in my underarms. Technician then changed her tune and told me laser is not permanent and you may require additional treatments etc. I was displeased at the end of all 9 sessions to find that I had about 80 percent success in the bikini area but only about 10 percent for my underarms. Overall I am glad I did it but it is a very hefty price tag with no guarantee of results. read more

I was born with a mole on my lip that has bothered me my entire life! As a child I was told it was a beauty mark and as the years went by more than once people have thought it was a cold sore! Even though I am a makeup artist I have struggled endlessly trying to conceal this unsightly mole without much success. Over the years I have had consults with at least 5 or 6 top plastic surgeons between Boston and RI. Not only did they not want to touch it, I was told I would be left with a scar and possible asymmetry. It wasn't until I met Dr. Luciano did I have hope. I had initially gone to see him about the spider veins on my legs and while I was there I asked if he could do something with my mole. After careful examination he said he felt confident that he could get great results with laser. I am happy to say I had 2 treatments and I am absolutely thrilled! I can't believe it's really gone and no scar!! I am now going through the process of getting rid of the spider veins on my legs with laser and have no doubt that I will be just as happy with the results!
