Having been a previous customer of both Walgreens and CVS, I got tired of long waits, calling and being placed on hold indefinitely, and my routine medications regularly being out of stock. Those pharmacy chains are overworked and understaffed. With my husband being medically fragile, having to wait a week to ten days for his life sustaining medications to be ordered was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. We switched the whole family's prescriptions to Skippack Pharmacy and haven't looked back. What a breath of fresh air. I'm on the phone all day at work, so being able to communicate via text message is invaluable. Dr. Mak works so hard for the people of our tiny community... there have been plenty of nights I've driven by at midnight to see he's still at the pharmacy working. He has offered to hand deliver prescriptions well after closing time to make sure my husband doesn't run out. And since the onset of the pandemic, Dr Mak has often been the sole source of essentials like hand sanitizer, toilet paper, Lysol, etc. And he APOLOGIZED for having to raise prices slightly at a time where others were simply price gouging. It's wonderful to walk into an independently owned pharmacy where the staff knows your name and they're happy to help. And now with the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine, the pharmacy has been instrumental in getting the elderly and vulnerable people of our community vaccinated. read more

I had a RX I needed filled and he did not have it in stock. He filled my RX at an associated pharmacy and drove 10 miles to pick it up for me!! I love this pharmacy and willing to drive 25 minutes to go over there even though there are pharmacies closer to me. I am impressed by their personalized service and they have done a fantastic job with vaccinations (including with my son who is 6 and somewhat scared of getting "poked"). I am pleased that there are still any independent pharmacies left in the era of "big everything" and with the chain pharmacies and pharmacy benefit management companies trying to dominate the retail pharmacy industry. I wouldn't recommend this place for pediatric vaccines. We had my 5 year old vaccinated today by an older male employee who managed to leave her arm bruised in the process. He was too interested in cracking jokes and dragging out the experience with an already anxious kid to focus on what he was doing. Instead of apologizing for her arm bleeding, he told her she wasn't supposed to move (even though she was on my lap and I was holding her arms down). Absolute insanity. They've lost my business. Prior to this, picking up prescriptions and general shopping was fine. Long lines are typical. read more

I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Skippack Pharmacy. My sister called there yesterday as we were desperately searching for a very specific and unique wound dressing for a severe burn that no other local stores carried in this part of the county. Not only did the staff member help us figure out whether they had it, she went above and beyond to order it for us and then called today to remind me that they were holding it for me. My experience going into the store was excellent and the owner was fantastic. Super friendly, courteous, and helpful. This is a small business that we will be frequenting, and I plan to switch all my prescriptions over! I have always had my prescriptions filled at larger pharmacies such as CVS. Today, I was unable to fill my normal prescription at CVS, due to backordered stock. After calling over two dozen large chain pharmacies looking for my prescription I came across skippack pharmacy through Yelp and give them a call as a last resort. Unlike the other pharmacies I called The pharmacist spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me reassuring me that there was no shortage of my medication and that he had plenty of what I was looking for in stock. When I went to go drop off the prescription the staff could not of been friendlier and more helpful. I have to say I really prefer a small pharmacy compared to the larger brand-name chains. read more

I want to like them, but I think it's kind of price gouging to not offer wipes standalone but only in a $35 package with gloves and hand sanitizer. Forcing people to buy things they don't need. Ill make my own wipes if I have to, I won't support that. read more

I received my covid19 vaccine amidst waiting in a snow storm last week....with the help of Dr. Mak and all the volunteers the clinic went extremely well. Just a pleasure! I've been dealing with the bigger pharmacy's and wasn't able to get a prescription filled. It seems what I was looking for was on back order or just not available. I was thrilled when I found out they had the prescription available. One call and it was filled without issue. I drove 45 minutes to get there and will do it again because they are that good. read more

Sadly, my place of employed was misled by this pharmacy and pharmacist, Dr. Mak. We were promised daily delivery and prompt service, which also did not happen. Our staff frequently had to drive to the location to pick up medications with many excuses given as to why this was happening. When we made a formal business decision to switch and notified Dr. Mak, he filled every prescription he could without being asked to when he was asked to transfer the prescriptions to the other pharmacy. He also misled the new pharmacy saying there were little to no refills, but filled everything possible on patient profiles. This was not requested. Despite promising to transfer the remaining medications to the new pharmacy by last night at latest, it still has not been done despite being time sensitive. Dr. Mak is not transparent and I do not recommend use of this pharmacy. He frequently bashed cvs and other pharmacies (understandable, my preference is independent pharmacies as well), but it seemed he often took on more than he could handle and made excuses when things could not be delivered as promised and he could not honor commitments or be on time for commitments he made. I'm deeply disappointed, and do not want others to experience this hardship with Skippack. Post dating prescriptions, filling prescriptions when not authorized to do so, amongst other unethical behaviors are reasons i will not recommend this pharmacy med by Dr Mayank Amin who goes by Dr Mak read more

Like good kind human beings, not at all like your average corporate pharmacy like 'oh sorry your insurance isn't covering this it'll be 200$ out of pocket for your medicine, oh you can't pay that? go home and suffer.'Not at all like that at Skippack pharmacy!! Skippack Pharmacy is fantastic. What it doesn't have in decor it makes up for with staff who are helpful and friendly and owners who are amazing. On a number of occasions I have seen them help out a customer with issues on prescriptions. The first time I went into the pharmacy, I saw a woman whose daughter ran out of whatever the medication was, but the insurance wouldn't refill it for two more days...the pharmacist gave the lady two days worth of meds because she said, "we don't want her going without this medication over an insurance issue". I was so impressed that I have never used another pharmacy since and I've seen that kind of attitude toward their customers many times since that first time. read more
