I placed my order at the beginning of the month, and after waiting several weeks with no indication of any issues, I was informed at the last minute that the order could no longer be fulfilled. This notification came only after a significant delay, during which I reasonably assumed the order was being processed as expected. Skull candy used to be really good, from their service to their product. However it has been some time that everything has gone downhill. I bought three pair of headsets and two out of the three do not charge. I have called this location for 3 weeks and they never answer their phone, I have tried different days and times. That does not make a difference it simply hangs up. I have drive. To their location twice during their operational hours and they are not open. I have called customer service over the phone at it is a nightmare to get through. When you speak with someone you have to do any warranty issues through their website and pay for the shipping yourself. Definitely not longer a good value for the product or the experience you receive. It is sad that this has gone down so bad. I truly hope they do better. This is the 4th time I have purchased skull candy earbuds and it's the 4th time I've been disappointed. Charging case problems from the jump. Pairing problems. Then they won't charge in the charger then the charger doesn't work. Now I have a charger That just flashes and I've tried everything. This is an extremely common issue that they refuse to address to this day. Some of the gripes here about Skullcandy's customer service are mind bending. Mostly because I don't understand why anybody would ever have to deal with customer service. Their product is the bomb, and you never have to worry about the durability of your purchases because Skullcandy's warranty is unprecedentedly bad ass in the way they back their shit up. I just called there 888 number and it says phone center closes call back during operating hours, I am at a 1 hour difference in time and it's only 1215pm. I tried to use there NEWYEAR25 discount code and it says INVALID code. Emailing with them is line watching glue dry, SLOW. They will not contact you if requested to speak with a live person. As for me and my family we will not order from them again, nor give them anymore of our money due to just the lack of any sort of response. I bought a pair of skullcandy $20+ to $25 wires headphones from cartersv. Ga Wal-Mart. about 14+ mos. ago. For the price they rock; but break up physically not audio. Earpieces fall apart, headband cracks in 1/2 Now I bought another $20 pair, they have metal in headband now, full sound bass; but 85db sound limit restrictions. Both very comfortable. when new with smartphone; but for louder sound you must press earpieces different ways and headband too. They are $30 less than wireless; and $80 less than Verizon's jbls... Good for home; but not so great for car phone. Wires catch in car and phone cracks up on asphalt pavements. Then the cheap smartphone needs a factory reset again for some more life after the same 14+ mos.! They are not home stereo nor home theatre headphones; but are dynamic with layers in April 2021, better than 2020 but not as loud , just fuller. One thing I have against smart bluetooth type people at work; is that they can't hear important dialogue the first few times in a business setting. They are on business calls etc.; but they are ignoring coworkers accidentally or intentionally... Again, these headphones with wires are for people who are sick of the $1 to $5+ ear buds that you give away or donate to bins; yet they all still work later... If you are saving, or cheap; or on a budget then they are for you too. If you want all of the best technologies then spend more and more. The fact is all of that adds up in costs over the many years. They broke after biking with them which i explained and customer service told me that since they were meant for sport they can be returned. yay! they promptly sent me a new pair which i still have to this day. I recently ordered what I clearly believed to be MIC'D earbuds. Why did I clearly belive this? Because in the Skullcandy site I went to the "MIC'D EARBUDS" section and began looking for earbuds that were in my price-range and, (you guessed it) -- MIC'D. In that section I found a pair of Smokin' Buds in white/chrome that had the word MIC'D right next to the picture. I clicked "Add to Cart" then paid using PayPal. Jump forward one week while I waited excitedly by the mailbox (my other earbuds crapped out and I was missing my tunes!) What came were indeed White Smokin' Buds but sans the all-important MIC. A call to Customer Support was in order. I called and spoke to one of the reps who looked up my order and said I'D ordered the wrong pair. To be fair, he offered to exchange them for the correct ones but what irked me was that I'd have to pay to send them back, pay for the proof of delivery, and incur the hassle of a trek to the post office -- all for something that wasn't my fault to begin with -- and neither he nor Dennis in Complaint Resolutions would budge on this. This is clearly one of those "It's the principle of the thing" issues (I mean, $5 to mail 'em back, whatevs) but it's one of those things where you just can't seem to prove you're not crazy to the Customer Service guy!! What really got me was when I pulled my PayPal record and compared it to the Skullcandy site and saw that $29.95 was indeed the price for the MIC'D pair of 'buds, NOT the un-MIC'D pair. However, the rep kept saying that the UN-MIC'd pair had just "gone on sale this week" and USED to be $29.95 so "maybe that was what you saw..." It was hopeless. Anyway, I am now sending my earbuds back and am NOT exchanging them for the correct pair. If Skullcandy can't see that covering the nominal cost of return shipping to keep a potential customer satisfied is important then I don't see any future for us. I never leave reviews but people need to know how awful Skullcandy is before they buy. Do not waste your money on their products. I bought a pair of the push ultra headphones in November and by January the ear strap had broken. They are under warranty so I went to exchange them only to learn that they do not cover the cost of shipping on exchanges. I ended up having to pay $17.71 to return the headphones to them. I spoke to customer service about this cost and getting it reimbursed, because it wasn't user error that caused the headphones to break. They said I had to pay the shipping if I wanted the replacement. I have now spent almost $100 on these shitty headphones. It is outrageous that they force their customers to pay for shipping to replace a broken product that is under warranty. read more

That is why I dont have a problem purchasing Skullcandy headsets since I know Skullcandy will replace them at 100 percent if there is a manufacturer defect....ex. ear suddenly stops working. Horrible customer service. Order an item. Came in defective. Same day called around 5-6 times to try and solve the issue. They finally told me to send it back, I did send it back and 2 days after, same day they received it I am told my order is being processed. After 5 days of not getting a shipping notification I email them asking when it would be shipped. Same day answer: tomorrow. 2 days after I get a voicemail that tells me I would get it on Monday (5 days from now). I then call them and ask: 1. when will it be shipped 2. could you please expedite it when it ships. Seems it was too difficult for whoever was on the phone to understand. After going back and forth i asked to talk to supervisor. Same guys comes back on the phone and go back and forth again not really understanding. So I ask again to talk to supervisor. I get Lucas, who is apparently the customer service supervisor on the phone. As I calmly explain the problem from the beginning he starts yelling and cuts me off before I am done and tells me he is late for a meeting and has no time and that I have three options. At this point I am already annoyed. So I ask him if he knows what I am asking for. No answer but rambling and yelling about my options. I hear his options, denies 2 but the one where I get the same item i want and I ask if I can get it expedited and when they will get it. Again more yelling and this is where he tells me that my "claim" for defective turns out it wasn't defective. He used a tone of voice where he largely implied I was a liar. I got very mad and raised my voice and asked him if he was calling me a liar. He did not confirm or denied. He then moved on to yell again, so was I so we were not really going anywhere. I asked to talk to his supervisor and he mentioned he didnt have one. I then laughed and told him I didn't know i was talking to the CEO of Skullcandy. Asked him for the name of the CEO and he gave me the name of the guy who stepped down 2 months ago. So he lied to me. At this point, he then said he will try to expedite the item and as I was talking, cut me off, told me " byebye thank you for your shopping and ...." so I did call him an ahole, and he hang up on me. Was it hard to tell me from the beginning he was going to try and expedite it? I didn't ask them to do it for free, I offered to PAY extra for the shipping to make sure I would get it soon. Horrible customer service. Filled complain with BBB. Update: after 2 hours, Lucas, the customer service supervisor called back, with a sweet voice. However, not to apologize but to tell me I was a difficult customer and it was full of sarcasm. For example "Hello, I am your favorite customer service person from Skullcandy" and so on... I calmly waited to hear what he had to say, which was actually useful and the actual answer to what I had been waiting for! He then offered 10% refund on the item which I took. He then specified again and again that I was the reason/cause of the original problem. I asked why took so long to give me the answer I was seeking in the 1st place and he started yelling again and again... Same as before. I asked for some time to talk and he said he had only few minutes left. That's when I told him he was a horrible customer service person, that I didn't want to hear from him again and to just make sure I was getting my headset. He hanged up on me. 1 min later my phone rings again and it's him asking me if I calmed down and that I was a horrible customer. I was quite shocked by his arrogance and reiterated that I did not want to hear from him, that he was just plain horrible and that he should check his reviews on yelp and that I had sent an email to his bosses. DO NOT BUY Skullcandy! This past Christmas I noticed that Skullcandy was having a promotion. Purchase earbuds and you will get a free Skullcandy Hoodie! I thought this would be a great Christmas gift for my 15 year old son and I made the purchase. It came to $40.00. When the Hoodie arrived, it was way too big so I called Skullcandy customer service in Utah and was told to just SEND IT BACK FOR AN EXCHANGE of the correct size. It is now February and I have not heard ANYTHING from Skullcandy. I make the call... Now customer service is telliing me that although they did receive my return, they are no longer selling clothing and the "free" Hoodie cannot be refunded becasue it was "free" and that it's just too bad for me because it's been more than 30 days since I purchased the earbuds so now there will be no refund for the earbuds either! I asked for the XL Hoodie to be shipped back to me and now they are telling me they don't have it! Huh?? But it's mine as PROMISED BY YOUR COMPANY. In the end, I got screwed! Not to mention my son is out a Hoodie that he thought he got for Christmas as a gift! He doesn't know about the promotion. He just knows he's out a gift! Dear Customer Service Manager, My girlfriend bought me a pair of Mix Master headphones for xmas, approximately $270.00 after shipping, which I"m assuming is a large end user purchase. The headphones snapped in half while I was putting them on my head while on a plane home. I thought what a piece of garbage for $250.00. I've owned cheap headphones that have lasted years of abuse and wear and tear. I called customer service and was directed to mail my headphones back to park city, at my own expense and I would receive new Mix Masters. Someone from customer service called me and said that model is currently out of stock and to keep checking every week to see when they are available. My girlfriend's account was credited $270.00 of store credit. I checked every week for 2 weeks and still "not in stock". I figured after a month or so we would ask for a refund, but instead we looked into other headphones. I decided to purchase the Aviators and an Iphone case, which totaled about $194.00. We are not looking to purchase anything else and I called customer service and spoke with someone who told me they can NOT issue a refund for the balance of $76.00. We used a credit card to purchase and this day and age I'm pretty sure your finance dept can re-credit the card in the amount of the difference. If it's your policy not to give refunds, and only store credit, then your customer service is useless, especially in my case when we've had nothing but a bad experience with your products. My order should be shipping in the next day or 2, Order ID 100244009. We don't plan on buying anything else from your site so the credit will just sit there and count for skullcandy revenue. If you can please include a check with the balance between the order and the original store credit from the initial purchase, I would be greatly appreciative and have a better option about skullcandy. I went to their headquarters in Park City, to replace a speaker that I had dropped off of a ladder and broke, and the guy working the shop saw me walking in with my item, grabbed a new one from the back, and handed it to me when I walked in the door, no questions asked. You literally can't beat that kind of customer service. No ball busting hassle about warranty specifics, just straight to the point, making the customer feel good about doing business with them. My opinion is I get better customer service at a Burger king or McDonald's. So I placed an order in November for a Corporate Christmas giveaway per request of the CFO and the executive assistant. I placed the order online and never received a conformation number. I called a few day later hoping that the order went through and would just show up. I spoke with the rep and the rep could not locate the order and Noel (very nice) tried many ways to locate this order. So validating with their rep that the order didn't go through, then and there I placed a new order. The next Day I get the original order around 10am PST and I immediately call Skull Candy to cancel the 2nd. Skull candy said they couldn't cancel the order and would be more than happy to issue me a return label when the order arrived. So here we are 2 months later with two iPod docks and no return labels and charges on a company credit card. So here is where it gets good, LUCAS THE CSR OF THE YEAR. The legend goes like this ......He likes to offend people by Lying and telling Executive assistants that "which ever of her boyfriends" (The CFO & myself (IT dept) placed the order, took too long to send the order back and we have to now pay the shipping to return this AMP looking IPOD dock. How can we send back something when we have no UPS labels to ship back. Lucas also said he was out $45 bucks for the creation of these phantom labels. Come on really... you don't get charged for labels until they get scanned. You are large operation. Where do you ship out of..... a garage? Was he overnighting them back to skullcandy???
