I was very satisfied with the quality of this airport restaurant. I had the California Roll and it was very good. The service was also up to par... And of course always a plus that there is also a bar... Lol! This airport restaurant made my layover tolerable.

The best sushi chef i had ever found.I was blown away by the quality of the sushi, especially the rice and all the creative rolls

Excellent creative sushi rolls from the best sushi chef. I have been here few times and definitely will come back. Tip: to come on the week day because for some reasons they have a different chef during the weekend. Don't forget to ask for the surprise rolls from sushi chef Gordon.

My husband and son got the spicy tuna rolls, they ate it so fast I didn't get a picture! The guy at the counter was extremely nice. They eat sushi a lot and said this was spectacular, they even went back and got more.

    Nice spicy tuna roll.

Sat at the bar before my flight. Had a martini and a sushi roll. The bartendress was friendly and attentive. Food, drink and service were great.

Tried the eggs Benedict, not bad. In fact, one of the better airport breakfasts I've had. Never tried their lunch, dinner, or bar options though. Service was attentive, as it should ALWAYS be at an airport, and the decor was nice.

I'm from Seattle and we're a little bit snobbish about our fresh seafood and sushi restaurants. So, ordinarily I would be skeptical about a sushi establishment in Tucson and even more so of one in the airport. But my work colleague who I was traveling with reminded me of airplanes and refrigeration (duh, we're at the airport) and we decided to give this Concourse B sushi bar a try. It was terrific! We had white tuna (had never had it before). It looked like a nondescript slab of lard in the glass case so I was hesitant, but the sushi chef said it was the best so we tried it. It arrived looking beautiful -- and like fish, and was as billed, delicious. The sushi chef is a college student that has been at it 4 years (sushi . . . well, maybe college too), and is proficient and friendly. Really, this is the best airport food experience I've every had (and I travel a LOT). I'm sorry I don't have need to go to Tucson again soon.

Decent food for an airport, especially a small one. Great sushi and beer selection. Connie, behind the bar is 5 stars, the best!

The service was slow and preoccupied with chit chat rather than making sushi. The sushi was on par with grocery store sushi.

This was not what we expected but the staff was friendly and 1/2 patrons at the food hall were eating sushi. The stalls have big energy today and lots of patrons are searching for a seat. Why not give them a chance? The menu is fairly varied for a small pop-up with traditional and deep fried sushi rolls. The female wait staff is handing out egg drop soup samples to everyone, ever those eating pizza and gyros. Looking around, these rolls are huge. We chose the Sonoran roll with shrimp tempora, spicy tuna, spicy crab topped with seared salmon and yuzu sauce. This roll was flavorful and spicy. Another roll was the Samurai with shrimp tempora, cream cheese, avacado wrapped in soy paper deep fried and covered with spicy crab / shrimp mix baked in a spicy aioli and eel sauce. This was our favorite roll with a pop in the tempora shrimp and an uncious taste coupled with a bite. Our third and final roll was the heart attack. Another spicy roll with shrimp tempora, avacado, cream cheese topped with jalepeno, spicy crab and chef sauce. Again, another good roll and a ton of food. This food mall is in an unassuming neighborhood with a smiling server who is hustling like crazy. The sushi was good, unique and tasty. It was a huge amount of food. Give this hard working staff and chance, she is enthusiastic and working hard. To the staff at Samurai Sombrero who are working hard and obviously, not a trained sushi chef. To the public, take a chance, give Samurai Sombrero a try and judge for yourself.

I opted for the #3 lunch special (3 pieces of sushi and a roll + miso soup) for $14. All reasonable, given that it's sushi, but I'll be honest, this still-growing-boy needed a bit more after that! The sushi itself was "ok" but the hand roll was terrific. Staff was attentive to all entrees and drinks (refilling my friend's diet coke 3 times!) and had zero problem with doing 4 separate checks too. Venue is simple and leans towards a subdued Asian-typical theme. Parking is easy and free in the shared strip-mall lot.

Feb 7 for two Hamachi Kamas ($16/each) and one Chirashi ($30) to go. These Kamas came with salad, miso soup, rice and half orange. Well salted and peppered to perfection. Chirashi was similar with abandon of fresh sashimis and rice. (see photos below) Their sushi boat ($59) is always a delightful feast for multiple people. Their servers are very friendly and attentive to all customers too. I highly recommend this restaurant to all sushi lovers. (Other Note: Ordered same dishes from Kazoku sushi on Feb 3rd because Sushi Cho was closed. Their Hamachi kamas were much smaller, charred, no garnishes and more expensive ($18). Their Chirashi ($35) sashimis are very fresh too, but not as much and not as many kinds as Sushi Cho.)
