The ambiance is interesting. It's reminiscent of a cafeteria. Very loud 80s music was playing, which actually was pleasant for me, but I can't speak for everyone. The service was prompt and friendly. The food and the reason for the 3 stars. I'm not a fan of mulched tuna in rolls. Why on earth would a sushi chef destroy perfectly good fish - unless he's trying to hide something. Also, the vegetable and Mexican rolls were way too big and unwieldy to eat. It wasn't horrible, but I probably won't be back. Especially with nearly a dozen places on Speedway alone. For Tucson based sushi the rolls here were not too bad. There's a lot of tables and a sushi bar to sit so if you have a large party of people they can accommodate your group. The service was very fast and prompt and the waitress was friendly. I ordered the caterpillar roll and California roll, and my friend ordered the spicy tuna and spicy California rolls. I always love the sushi here it's so good especially for the price plus you get complimentary miso soup which is so yummy. The service is honestly pretty bad though, i've come here for the last like 4 years and i've never had really good service here it's more of a bring your food over to you and enjoy no one really checks in and you have to find your person to bring the check or go up front. This is a tough one to write. For the food alone, I think Sushi-Ten does a pretty good job. But two things brought my rating down which I'll address after I talk about the food. Three of us had lunch at Sushi-Ten today and we ordered: Mexican Roll, Vegas roll, spicy tuna roll, spicy crab roll, gyoza and squid salad. All were very good and the complimentary miso soup served at the beginning is just right and perfect to get your appetite going. I have a hard time finding decent squid salad and Sushi-Ten's squid salad was delicious and refreshing. Rolls were made expertly and didn't fall apart. Happy tummies all around. Our server wasn't friendly and never smiled. She did a good enough job but didn't make us feel welcome whatsoever. When we sat down, a 1/2 inch baby cockroach crawled out from under something on the table and I quickly killed it with the plastic table tent holder. We didn't make a fuss about it but rather put the bug in a napkin and scrunched it up. Incredibly basic, run-of-the mill sushi. If you have a hankering, this place might be the place to be, but honestly the prices make it just like everywhere else. The quality of the fish is just OK, so I wouldn't order something that relies on the flavor of the fish (like nigiri or sashimi). Service was good, as the servers came to check on the table often, but generally... Again, just OK. I would rather eat at OBON for higher end sushi or Maru Plus for higher quality and a similar menu. read more

Loved this place. The miso soup was free and they don't charge for sriracha (most places charge for both now). The server was very accommodating when we requested some of our food items to come out together. One flaw for me personally would be that some of the rolls were very large (the Vegas roll and vegetable roll kept falling apart because of how big they were) but that is just a personal preference. First time trying this place. We were in the area and were looking for a good place to eat. We came across this restaurant, as suggested by Yelp. We were greeted right away and seated in less than a minute. The service was not super fast, but I think it was worth it. The place is a little outdated, and the decor is nothing special. The complementary miso soup came out right when we sat down and it was both savory and delicate. They offer a variety of fascinating sushi rolls that were all delicious and the nigiri had a hefty slice of beautifully fresh fish. All of the staff was genial, which combined with the laid back environment to add to our sushi experience. We went with a few friends and everyone really enjoyed it and was more than comfortable with the discounted price. It was our first time having sushi in Tucson and are spoiled by many incredible options in LA, so we thought the sushi was just good. There were many roll options. Absolutely terrible service! Not a single staff welcomed me and my friend into the establishment. The waiter rushed our entire service. The food was thrown on the plate and did not look appetizing. When we finished our meal we asked to split the check in two. Only two items were ordered and we were met with very rude complaints about how are request didn't make sense. However when we got this food, it was super disappointing. We got three regular rolls. The Philly Roll, the Vegas Roll, and the Fried Salmon Roll. The salmon was slimy and the sushi just felt like mush with no flavor. The other ones tasted like they were fried for a very short amount of time, and the meat tasted like it was canned, it looked really unappetizing. First time I haven't finished a meal in a really long time. We love sushi and this was a massive disappointment, we were looking forward to eating here. It tasted like rice that's been in the refrigerator. The Dragon roll was terrible, it was drowned with sauce and that made the rice soggy. The pieces of eel was very small as well. I asked for some more napkins and they only gave 2, talk about stingy. I also asked for eel sauce and found out when I was paying that they charged me $1 for it. I told them no one notified me that sauce would cost extra. I've never been to a sushi restaurant that charges like that. I will never come back here again for the terrible sushi quality and service.
